I'm so glad the showrunners decided to not do a direct adaptation to the comics and go their own way with storylines. So sick and tired of people in comments of videos trying to spoil the show because they read the comics only to see the story go the other way lol
I tried reading the comics and... yeah, won't lie, I'm not a fan.

The comics from everything I’ve heard just don’t appeal to me. Everyone seems a lot more unlikeable and one note and it’s just depressing sounding plot wise.
It’d be impossible to adapt it, every shareholder would think its way too brutal.
They still do a lot of its core storyline, like certain someone getting powers soon

If Starlight needs electricity to drain for her power, then Starlight's powers may be a way to nullify Stormfront's lightning hands. This is really important if they plan on teaming up to take Stormfront down.
Or I think they might work like Iron Man's repulsor ray technology used to counter Ivan Vanko's taser whips. Or when he asked Thor to hit him with everything.
I wonder if Stormfront had any ideas of how dangerous Annie's powers could be to her when she called it adorable in the last episode. Do you think she knows and wants to make Annie feel powerless? I still think it will be last resort and that Starlight will need help from Maeve, she punches Stormfront pretty hard in the trailer and I think they are both at a pretty similar power level, below Homelander but above the rest.
That's an awesome theory. Hope something like that happens. Coz in one of the trailers Starlight is seen punching Stormfront.

@@Amardarial even without confimation on thier powerlevels its safe to assume that while SF is really really strong, HL is still much stronger. This being since men on everage have 75% more muscle mass and 90% more strength.

Do you know who the top 5 FBI most wanted are? Most of the general public has no idea that he is a wanted fugitive. Starlight, on the other hand, would probably be recognized by someone.

This season is brilliant, EXACTLY what a sequel season should be. We expand the show's mythology and get deeper into the characters, all while creating new conflicts and building upon old ones. Absolutely stellar job. Every new episode becomes my new favourite episode. I especially love the progression of Hughie & Butcher as more like brothers than unwilling co-conspirators, and Starlight muddying her morality in pursuit of something she cares about. COMPELLING, I SAY
It's sad that some people call this season boring! They don't understand any character development, they want action after action!!

There are little things throughout the show that doesn’t make sense given the world they are in but we just are expected to forget about it just so the story moves on and has suspense I think

Because she had to use her powers to cauterize Hughie's wound, and she couldn't do that if she was stuck with him because he'd realize who she was.
Clearly she wanted to express what a big fan of Monk she was and geeking at meeting Detective Disher.
I love how concerned Butcher was for Hughie in this scene. Their friendship is definitely the best in this entire series.

Can I just point out how nervous Starlight seems to be around Butcher, even though she is a supe?
Starlight can take a couple .50 cal bullets to the chest and she’s super strong she was definitely fast enough to lunge at the guy and take the gun before he harmed Butcher she wouldn’t even get affected by the bullets.
I know its a comic but I still dont understand how they justify any supes being able to withstand something like a 50 cal, especially when its commonly mentioned that their organs are normal like ours. The energy release from a 50 being stopped that fast would pretty much turn their organs to jello.

I know this sounds a bit far fetched but I dont think that Shockwave supe was deliberately trying to harm the trio. It seemed like he just couldnt control it, like a hiccup.
Granted, He probably wouldve done it again and do some actual damage but... I felt like Butcher gunning him down was harsh.
I don't think he had a choice, he tried to talk him down. But you can see what one accident did to them, I don't think he could afford to wait out

Butcher is a high functioning sociopath, it’s part of his character. He’s willing to do virtually anything to get the job done. And I think Starlight realized how desperate the situation was. Also you can argue the dude he it coming, they needed his help to save someone’s life and they refused, what comes around goes around at the end of the day.
You can tell the supe didn't actually mean to use his powers. It looked like an uncontrolled reflex. These people don't know how to use their powers.

Why couldn't she use the battery from the van to cauterize hughie's wounds if she was able to gain energy from the stolen car to blast that guy back? Or is that what she was talking about fried earlier on? Doesn't really make sense unless the kinetic blast from that fella worked as some type of emp? Could it have been some type of electrical field as well?
