Surprisingly no, the internal mic is good enough for me and that is one of the reasons I am loving this camera for vlogging 😉👍🏻

Great video 👏 top mini cam 👍🏻 for professional film projects I have the FX6 but for private filming or holidays the ZV1 is perfect for me 👌😉
I am loving this camera honestly, I have so many other cameras but ZV1 is best for vlog 👌
if you watch my previous video "the separation" when my family left me in Dubai you will notice that the ZV1 helped me to document that day even through the toughest time, that's why Sony zv1 is my best and only vlogging camera now.

I used Sony cine2 profile with some tweaks but I also color grade it, I was trying to emulate Kodacolor Film in my color grading.
I edit with Premiere pro.

Love this! I recently hiked for the first time too, up Mount Snowdon in Wales, and it's very rewarding! The ZV1 is a great camera to capture the experience too :) really enjoyed the video, keep it up

The ZV1 is amazing I love and it like how I used to love my sony rx100 m5 but the problem with the rx100 it doesn't have mic jack or good audio.
The zv1 is perfect but I only worry about the weather sealing 🙄 I wish it had 😊

about the camera stabilizer off it is applicable only on few Sony camera models like Sony zv1, Sony a7siii, Sony a7c and th a7m4 I guess and the reason why, these cameras have gyroscopes that record the camera movements and Sony provides a software "catalyst browse" to stabilize these type of footage, this software can read the movements record and apply the best stabilization accordingly, to get the better result the footage shouldn't be stabilized that's why stabilizer needs to be off in the camera 😉

You have sharp eyes to notice the long lense 🙂 honestly this type of photo was in my mind since before I start the trip, I want to capture the mountains layers that's why I got my long lens on the camera 😉
I'm always thinking of shooting landscapes with long lens for the purpose of cramming the frame with patterns but still never had a chance of going out these days. Maybe soon. Keep shooting Bro.

wow great work, I enjoyed all the way to the end! Footage goes beyond my expectation. I was thinking of bringing ZV-1 and a DSLR(for dedicated photo) to my next trip, now I began to wonder if it would be worth the weight. Was there a considerable difference between ZV-1 and a DSLR, photo-wise?

It is depends on your style of shooting, if you are like me shooting hand held, you don't shoot portraits and you are okay to shoot within the 24-70mm focal range then only the zv1 with some extra batteries can do the job but if you are shooting portraits and shooting long exposure on a tripod using filters and super wide angles or zoon or shooting wild life photography etc then absolutely you need proper gear 😉

NO, I am not using any wide angle lens in this video, ZV1 is tight if you turn the stabilization on but I kept all stabilization off to avoid the crop 👍

something is wrong with the video.. it is extremely choppy. maybe you should use an nd filter and match your shutter speed to the frame rate..
Thanks dear for ur comment, I am not really concern about the 180 degree rule now a days coz I am trying to free me mind and focus on the story but I guess the footage was choppy for you for a different reason, if you please watch my latest video and confirm if it has the same issue and if it doesn't then I will figure out why is this one choppy.
