      I do it all the time. Priced out one of my cups, had nearly 180$ worth of pieces in one 16$ cup👍🤗

      have to balance time value vs brick value, you can get 168 2x4s stacked in a large pab cup, there is a youtube vid that can get you started... the tree limb element I can get a case of those in 3 large pab cups... so those are def worth stacking ;)

      I thought I heard on another video that stacking bricks wears them out. Is that also true?

    I'll be honest, I'd trade Target for Toys R' Us in a heartbeat. Always great to see new stuff on the PAB wall and especially stuff you need for the city or MILS conversion or even just for extra inventory when you run short on things. Great finds and love those gray masonry bricks.

    Tip for the next pab haul. U can stack those leaves into a tower and place it in the centrr of the cup. U still have so much space to fill the cup with other bricks and the amount of leaves is similair to stuffing them into the cup. I made the same mistake

  • @danielmcbride6413

    This is very similar to how my mom would help me stack when I was a kid! The only difference for me was that i normally chose 2x bricks instead of 1x bricks. As a kid, when given 2x bricks, I just assumed that buildings should have 2 wide walls, and so 1x bricks served only as half of what I needed. I wondered “why get half the bricks for the same money?” What I recognize now, however, is that I can get the same amount of brick but able to cover more wall space and leave more space for interior. 1x bricks for the win hahaha.
    Also, this is exactly how I have opened cmfs since I learned to feel through them to find knights, pirates, and Vikings in 2020. I would get super excited in the store and then get home and nervously open them. Great news though, since the last 20 cmfs I’ve gotten in the last three years have all been exactly what I expected.

  • @koloth5139
    @koloth5139 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    My closest Lego store actually numbers the CMFs. It is kind of nice since I don't have to stand there for 10 minutes feeling up bags to find the one figure I want. Of course, they also have unnumbered boxes too for anyone that just really wants to do it themselves.

      Personally I like the mystery of trying to feel what character it is, so it's cool they have both options

    • @kaleemarie13
      @kaleemarie13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd like this. But I'd number them somewhere small on the back of the bag so that customers could still feel them if they want the experience of the Mystery Bag but say someone was trying their hardest for the Turkey from CMF 23 but can't find it. Brick Specialists could bring the magic by handing one that is the Turkey

    Thanks for the PAB wall fix. There was an incident (fire extinguisher discharge) in the Calgary store such that the PAB wall had to be emptied out and cleaned. And eventual re-stock with what they can get. I understand that the "contaminated" brick is to being sent away to be recycled (washed and donated) as opposed to, god forbid, disposed.
    Glad to see you have the 6x6 frame for those new trans-blue 3x6 doors! And those tall trans-clear bricks!

    Went to a Chapters bookstore this weekend and got the full Muppets set, plus they had a little red riding hood gwp, which I’m pretty sure was a 2021 bricktober set. Was a nice little bonus since I purposely went out of my way to this store as the website said they had over 150 muppets in stock compared the the limited numbers at stores near me.

    I'm in Toronto with 2-3 stores I go to Unless I missed it we never got the tripod 3 stem pieces it was on the order sheet that Lego store put it but never came been waiting on that piece for 6months sigh one of the staff said she'd even call me when it's in and out a whole cup aside, but at last never showed! . The white french door frame came but no glass doors (especially having that blue tone is great for modern buildings) I stacked all my leaves for a tall pan cup was like 60-80 pieces in there two stacks with room for small bits on outside of cup-i did miss the light blue trans tile 2by1 as I didn't check one week and it was picked clean not even one price floating around in the bin loose lol clear 6by was an awesome find last time we had that prior was mid pandemic and we weren't allowed to stack but the staff was nice to stack those specifically (although he used the metal scoop and scratches on my little window panes happened like crazy) I used the trip leaf parts to fill in a small plant area I just stood them side by side in a square field

    I JUST dipped my toe in the water of CMF collecting. I have every series 24 minifig except for the Troll/Orc and Space man/Benny. 😢 I just learned how to “feel” the packages. Just in time for that skill to be obsolete with the new boxes coming out. I really think they should indicate on the box what mini figure is inside. I understand they are trying to make them like baseball cards or other collectables, but they’re just too expensive for non-rich people to collect that way. I have duplicates of 3 figures and am missing 2 and it’s just too expensive to try to collect all of them. :(
