Jodie Comer: Surprised at the success of 'Killing Eve'

- As ‘Killing Eve’ returns for its second series, the show’s British star Jodie Comer calls the success of the series "a gorgeous surprise."
The drama, about an intelligence agent (played by Sandra Oh) and Comer's psychopathic assassin, is now airing on both BBC America and AMC in the United States and will air later this year in the UK.

They actually finished casting season 2 yeap they are making season 3 in that moment
I dismissed the show when it first came on because I thought, oh another crime drama, I'm not bothered, but after seeing a few clips on gogglebox and seeing the reception Jodie got on the Graham Norton show, just knew I had to give it a try, and I'm glad I did, great series 1 and 2 looks even better, Jodie seems so lovely too, i try not to idolize people in TV too much, but it's so difficult to not get attached to her 🥰
Same. One day I went to my in laws' who were watching season 1 episode 5 and kept telling me how good it was whilst I was there thinking 'what the heck is this?'.
Couldnt get into it (mind you I was completely out of context), but what I saw, I didnt like.
Then 2 years later I gave it a go and whatched all 3 seasons in a row and Im hooked!
This show is dope. Acting, writing, music is excellent. Watched it on a whim and was hooked about half way through the first episode

I'm surprised at how freaking talented she is! I only knew her from my mad fat diary and it's amazing how she can become a totally different person.

@@melinsanchez7514 yes I saw her on there. That's one of her underrated roles I wish there were Interviews that have her describing that character.
She hooked me in "Remember Me" with Michael Palin. "Thirteen" was the next one I saw her in. "Dr. Foster" was just another of her amazing characters. Short films such as "The Last Bite" and "Bovril Pam" were fun.
Thirteen and My Mad Fat Diary! I watched Thirteen when it first aired and a lot of people i knew were talking about it, so glad that she's now getting more acknowledgement!
"Remember Me" is - lol - ironically the only one I've forgot to watch!
I thought thirteen was so poorly written. God forbid they have any psychologists help with the script writing but she did a fantastic job. I thought she was great in Dr Foster. I think because she’s very self composed her character came across as mature. Whereas villanelle can be childish but has clearly gone through a lot of trauma that’s aged her.
Beautiful woman and talented!!!
I'm glad this cast is having fun, being proud, cause they sure give that to their audience !

On aime villanelle malgré qu'elle soit une spychopathe,parce qu'elle est belle, extrêmement drôle avec un côté très enfantin, ses grosses fêlures dû à son enfance ( le manque de tendresse et d'amour de sa mère),l 'orphelinat puis la prison et sa formation en on fait une tueuse implacable .
Donc, on lui pardonne tout et on lui souhaite d'être enfin heureuse avec Eve.
Malheureusement les producteurs ou la réalisatrice en a décidé autrement .

I don't think that she is, it's just she's making it easier for her american audience to understand her but if you look at interviews she has done back home in the UK, the accent is very much still there! And of course it's her own choice but I wish she keeps it, it's adorable.
No shes definitely still a true scouser shes just had a bit more media training in speaking in interviews such as slowing down a bit and speaking a bit more clearly but shes still all scouse 👍👍👍
Why would you want to ditch your accent when it is the making of you doh !
She already said when she does interviews she tries to get rid of it a little because nobody can understand her
