hello nice vlog nice pics ive just done upgrade from nikon d5300 done same as you bought the d850 not yet gone out with it yet looking forward to getting out there
System becomes quickly familiar to Nikon user. But Stuff like back screen touch focus is really useful. Will probably mention these simple benefits in next d850 vlog.
Just got mine a couple of days ago. Had an old D7100 which I will keep around for my wife to tag along with on our trips. This is a massive upgrade for stills photography for me and I am just getting started.
I absolutely love my d850 i love the lenses i have and it will be many years before i change it because the photos i get with it are outstanding , changing for change sake is just throwing money away we have to remember that we are the photographer and the camera and lenses are the tools ,learn the tool and get great result , don’t and you wont even with the latest and greatest. Keep up the good work .
The 850 is a beast, I bought one brand new 2 month ago here in 🇦🇺for $3400,-- (We pay more for everything here) Got myself the book by Darryl Young " Mastering The Nikon D850 " and now looking forward to our 3 week trip to the Outback. I didn't see the point in going mirrorless because I have a lot of very good Nikon lenses and I am not the youngest anymore. Enjoy your new camera, you will love it.
I did the same thing. I’m 70 and have used Lumix M4/3 cameras for 15 years or so - except for a Nikon D500 I bought for my ranch and farm brokerage photos and wildlife. So when it came time to buy my “last camera” I bought what I have wanted for years - full frame in the form of a Nikon D850. Sure it’s heavy. But I don’t take it when shooting street stuff or family photos. I take a Lumix G9II or Oly OMD-EM1 and some of the great lenses that go with it. But when I want a GREAT landscape or portrait photo, I love hauling out the D850
Great photos. New camera looks great. I'm hoping to take a few photos of waterfalls soon. I'll add them to my vid. I've no idea but hopefully I'll learn. Nice relaxing music with the vid.
D720 or D7200? Enjoy your new camera. Nikon has a great price on them rite now new. Which should drop the used prices down also. Nice photos. Happy shooting.

Indeed, a couple of months in now and enjoying it greatly. And being second hand feels great value for the spec 👍
