Loving these mini series Martin.. great selection of images in this one... the very last image with the Rowan berries (what a greatg year it was for them) but the stand out one for me was the railway n trees image... one of those "I wish I had taken that" shots, well done. atb Al

What a gorgeous section of the canal you chose for your photography walk Martin.. as ever fab i,ages and the hill in the section around 4:00 if I am not mistaken is Tor y Foel. There is a lovely walk that starts from the bottom of there up the hills tramroad - about a 4-5 mile circuit which overlooks the Talybont res and across to the western peaks of the central beacons plus down into the Dyffryn Crawnon. Just got mine a couple of days ago. Had an old D7100 which I will keep around for my wife to tag along with on our trips. This is a massive upgrade for stills photography for me and I am just getting started.

I have nevere been over the Pont Sarn viaduct but been past it many many times.. I need to rectify this ummediately. Lovely video Mart.. the colours are right at their peak methinks. Those iphones really do produce some dazzling results... It just goes to show that we don't have to travel far from our doorsteps to experience wonderful countryside and when Autumn comes to your doorstep what more can we ask for ? Very enjoyable watch Martin and I am deffo going to try out that route at some point - thank you. Some lovely images. atb Al

Lovely images Martin, I was there for a couple of hours on Tuesday. There were loads of youngsters doing gorge walking so I made my escape to a little copse of trees above the main waterfall. There was certainly more water flowing through on the day you visited. atb Alan

Gosh, that certainly was some water coming through there Martin. Hard to get a decent shot with so much water I reckon but you managed a few very decent ones. (like the abstract at 2:52) I once killed a Canon 5D3 at that place. I was not very far from this today - I was parked over the Taff Fechan car Park and and had little walk through the forestafetr spending a few hours at Blaen y Glyn. I don't think I have ever seen the rowan trees looking so abundant with berries. atb Alan

Hi Martin, this video just came up on my recommendations and seeing it was you I wondered how I had not seen it - for soem reason subscribe was not pressed (apologies) so I have rectified that. To have something like this on your doorstep must be a wonderful thing... I know iys part of the Bike Park Wales but obviously there must be large parts tat are not impacted by this? The scene at 4:40 is something I think I would go back to time & time again.. wonderful. As you wandered about I was thinking with all that wetness around it really did have a feel of a rainforest. atb Al

The 850 is a beast, I bought one brand new 2 month ago here in 🇦🇺for $3400,-- (We pay more for everything here) Got myself the book by Darryl Young " Mastering The Nikon D850 " and now looking forward to our 3 week trip to the Outback. I didn't see the point in going mirrorless because I have a lot of very good Nikon lenses and I am not the youngest anymore. Enjoy your new camera, you will love it.

Well put together Martin, a fascinating subject and one I remember as a young boy very well, a tough time indeed. Great images from Walter, and some very interesting background from Walter on preserving life, seeing the everyday.

D720 or D7200? Enjoy your new camera. Nikon has a great price on them rite now new. Which should drop the used prices down also. Nice photos. Happy shooting.

I absolutely love my d850 i love the lenses i have and it will be many years before i change it because the photos i get with it are outstanding , changing for change sake is just throwing money away we have to remember that we are the photographer and the camera and lenses are the tools ,learn the tool and get great result , don’t and you wont even with the latest and greatest. Keep up the good work .
