Great value here with Altima. Perfect daily driver, awd huge bonus, got the Platinum. U don't wanna be another Accord or Camry (99% Uber drivers!). Cvt is great! No hunting for gears. 182 hp maybe a bit low, but key here is 180 torque at 3500, that's pretty good. Great on gas, I'm happy with the power. Im coming off a 200hp TSX, but to me, Altima is just as quick. Bose audio amazing, seats very comfy, all safety stuff. Headlights outstanding at night.
@@chasegrady7635 why do you need AWD in a midsize sedan with low ground clearance and a useless approach angle? FWD with good tires will perform just as well. And what’s the point of it being faster if it shits the transmission every 80,000 miles?
@ you’re wrong. but you do know that tires wear out literally😭people do not take care of them nissan altimas cs my aunt keeps up on her maintenance nd followed everything nissan told her
Midnight edition is very nice loving the wheels in black. My edition one came with exclusive grey wheels. Tbh the 2.5 isn’t too sluggish I raced one a couple nights ago, it floored it first of course I took off on it. However 2nd time we tried I didn’t have it in sport mode so rpms didn’t pick up as quick and it took off on me but I came up very quick. Sucks my phone is out of storage would’ve been decent for my channel.
I owned a 2012. I had problems that shouldn't happen. Lifters wouldn't prime up. Exhaust Pipe sheared off the Front Catalytic Converter. Nissan told me I ran over something and was going to charge me $2,100 to fix it. I took the Altima to a Muffler Shop and they fixed it for $40. I knew I didn't run over anything and I didn't. It was because of the cheap hardware. The Muffler man said he has fixed a bunch of them but couldn't fix them all. The the Air Conditioners are trash. I had the Compressor go out with low mileage. 16,000 miles later it went out again. I got T Boned on the way to the Dealer. I wouldn't have been in the wreck and have broken bones if not for that cheap A/C System. My son bought one and he had a lot of problems with his Altima. He traded it in after 2 and a half years with low mileage. The things that happened to his, mine and I have friend that has had a lot of problems with her Altima. Before Renault bought Nissan they were great cars. Now they are made cheap. I bought a Hyundai Sanota. They are number one in Customer Loyalty and people that keep the services up get a easy 200,000 Miles. It has a 10 year 100,000 mile Drivetrain warranty and just for $1,200 more you can get Bumper to Bumper for 10 years or 100,000 miles. I don't drive at the most 8,000 miles a year .
You hit the nail on the head when you talked about the rear end showing it's age, the tail light are just plain old UGLY! That and 182 HP for a midsize isn't gonna cut it, but just under $30K is appealing to most buyers so in that regard Nissan has a winner!
The hp is actually enough. It's quicker than the camry with awd and I've raced a fwd camry with my 19 altima and he took off before me at about 15-110. By the time I got to about 90 I was ahead of him by a car even though I started after him and by 110 I was 2 cars ahead. Raced an accord with my 19 altima who tries to do a fly by. By 110 I was only a half car ahead with an extra passenger in my car. He was pisssed after.
@@occckid123 Bro not saying you’re a liar but is very hard to believe you beat an Accord on a race, however i do agree that for a sedan 188hp is enough and right now i have a 2019 SL Altima on red exterior and it looks and drives great, overall a nice sedan.
@@yordan826 I've raced many accords. They can't leave me in my 396k mile 2016 altima and the 2019 is a bit quicker. It happened on the southern state pkwy.

Accord or Camry will last much much longer than the Altima, and the Accord is the driver’s choice
@@raiderflyyea but Camrys are slower😔 and Accord don’t have awd

Have they solved the transmission issues???
Actually let me ask it another way, did they get rid of Jatco transmissions?
If it has a cvt it’s junk
Too many commercials
I'll take the interior of a camry any day over an altima.
