Just to note, for Cyrus’ reflective veil, of you add another cleric to the team you can use their divine skill to make reflective veil go 2x for a max of 8 reflective veils to each of 4 people. That’s 32 shields for 1200 per shield, going to 38400. Do it about 5-6 times and their gone. It’s only slightly easier though. Nice solution to this boss.
But you need Cyrus to be cleric because he can use the reflective veil, it would mean he need to use the buff on himself, but also use reflective veil for everyone as well so he needs to do 2 task which takes time to do unless you use pomegranate, it’s very risky and the results would be the same if you put the class on someone else so it’s not a very good plan
A bit of trivia... The bosses you fight for the special classes are actually members of the twelve who sealed Galderra away. Basically you are fighting gods... Have fun. I would have loved it if SE had voiced these bosses too.
Since Steorra now uses Celestial Intervention to remove Reflect for 5 turns, just do it with BP loading. My team was Sorceror Cyrus (element breaks, main damage dealer), Hunter Alfyn (Bow skill to break 12 shield, leghold trap, concoct BP botting), Healer Primrose (healing, Healer divine skill, Peacock strut, dark break support) and Merchant Therion (knife skill breaks, item/skill BP botting). Saving Grace helps for the first turn or two, but you should be breaking fast enough to out heal damage. If need be sacrifice buffing Cyrus for healing. Reapply leghold everytime on the turn she comes out of break and goes first, then break her on the turn after that. With this you basically have 3 turns to build BP and set up Cyrus. Should note my Cyrus was overlevelled while everyone else is below 50 (Alf was in mid-late 30s).
Reflective Veil is absolutely the most intelligent way to beat Starseer and Sorcerer! I successfully defeat these two using your method when I am about level 30 at present. Are you going to make videos about defeating Warmaster and Runelord as well?
i dont know if this helps at all but the boss is easy to blind however i cant ever blind them enough cause i only have a few bottles i tried to use starseer to buff everyones defence but it didnt do very good the last attack of that boss is a nightmare this is warmaster btw
Oof she keep using that spell where it cause one ally buffs to be gone, I can’t wait 5 turns, I’ll be dead right away!!! Also she keeps using the wrong attack spell so I have to wait it out until she uses a spell that she is weak against OOF
I had done the reflect combo before but couldn't remember the steps, also after my "game over" when she goes turbo, I have 2 reasons to not feel bad watching a "how to" 😜
She's very difficult to defeat. As you get towards the end of the battle she unleashes a nucolar 💣 attach which wiped out my entire party. How do you cast reflect on all of your characters? I had Alflyn and Opeleia casting reflect many times but she complety wiped out my party.
I like how the video nor does the description explain the characters, equipment, and strategy. I get the idea but I don't see the execution very well when there is no context and a speed up video.
She debuffs random characters as you fight making the win factor wholly random. Never could figure out why designers do this, why not have us randomly goto the Game Over screen? Oh, because that would be ridiculous.....
Honestly i just boosted with dance of the lion and panther Therion, and i did 77300 of with aeber at level 70 (he was my chosen at the start), of course i selected the best skills i could think and he literally had almost all of them. But is noteworthy that i discovered the good use of Reflective veil in this fight. I didn't use it against Dreisang because i didn't know it would literally reflect the elemental damage XD. Some things in this game are so op, you just have to know what and how.
Reflective Veil, when used with primrose's dancer divine skill, it gives reflective shielding to the team from incoming magic, thus when shooting star, etc. is used, it just bounces back and hits themselves.
Not once did the boss use that restore balance bullshit that disables reflect. Did they patch that in? If It's my fault and I'm not breaking the bosses poise quick enough than fine, but if they patched that in I'm so pissed. They have no reason to disable a fun strategy.
This video made regret not having use the dancer yet (I'm 60 hours in the game only now i will continue Primrose's story), way better than only being able to cast reflect in a single character per turn. How long the battle actually took? This is first of the secret bosses that I fought, in term of difficulty how she compares with the rest?
Thank you for your question! I took about 30 min. in this battle. You can kill this boss in other ways, but you need a higher level (about 60 to 70 levels). In that sense, it is difficult to beat the boss without using primrose.
I'd go for warmaster it's an incredibly useful job and with tressa as a runelord you can just spam transfer rune and sidestep to become untouchable by her. It's also good that you have the sorcerer job already since she's mainly weak against all elements and staffs.
@@candycoatedthorns2876 Thank you! 😊 Was asking because I got to this part of the game and loved this theme. Octopath Traveler has such an incredible OST!
ugly art and dumb fight. "Lets make a op class locked behind a op boss". No point of getting OP to beat this boss just to get an OP class because if you got OP to beat this boss, no need for the OP new class. Octopath 2 needs to put that into account. Do yourself a favor, if playing on PC just use a trainer, one shot these bosses so you can enjoy the actual class before the game is over.
LOL pretty pethetic. You could have easily sped this way, way up. You should have had some serious damage options by then. Should have been doing or at least getting close to doing attacks that get close to the damage cap. This is the plain Hamburger w no cheese, ketchup or even the bun.
The use of reflective veil is a brilliant idea, but it shouldn’t be used to this extent. It makes the battle time consuming and some might get bored fighting this boss.

also you would need 2 dancers...
I put the cleric on Ophilia, Cyrus was the Sorcerer already...
Nahh bro boss just negates the reflect

woa woa no spoilers please
Dude, if you have sorcerer already, use Elemental Break. It really increases the damage she takes from the reflective veil.

I tried it for this one as well... Did it first time!
You sir (or ma'am) are a friggen genius!
And this one has 50% more JP as well!!!!
Thank you for your comment!
Lotakx1 Same here. Thank you
She keeps doing that spell where you can’t buff characters :(
3:00 you always wanna defend here and break at the start of next turn! This gives you 2 turns of vulnerable rather than 1 :)
Thanks for the guide on this. Worked like a charm.
Sterra is so good looking ;)
Torpedo Fish would've been pretty cool if we had the option to guide/allure shrine bosses. :(
As one would expect from a goddess.

Level 30? Man Im level 70 but dreisang and starseer both kicking my ass.
ohhh so thats how i shouldve played when I'm on lvl 48 and theyre hard
@@Colencence i beat Dreisang at level 50, just get armors with high elm defense!
The title and thumbnail and a comment all call her Sterra even though I thought it was Steorra. TY FOR CONFUSING ME
(It's Steorra btw)
What pisses me off, is thos is what i wanted to do, but i read primroses divine skill and it says it only works on skill that target foes
technically any skill and that includes self buffs which isn't in the description.
So this is basically the same method to beat the sorcerer lol but slightly different lol
This damn boss has me stressed out. I've fought it 30 times already and can't beat it!!!!!!!!!!
Im at like my 3-5 try not sure tbh
Oof she keep using that spell where it cause one ally buffs to be gone, I can’t wait 5 turns, I’ll be dead right away!!!

stun her right away, she really doesnt use it often after you stun her

She keeps confusing my team and using Physical reflection
Therion and H'annit can't do anything
doing this now but 3 of my party members now have restore balance debuff.. how fun

Sorcerer divine skill
@@slayer4592 Actually its the Dancers Divine Skill.

How am I supposed to beat it I tried hard to defeat it.
Seu vídeo me ajudou muito, estava passando raiva demais com esse chefe
What's wrong with my party ? They's level 58 and i get pwnd every time !
OMG SAMEEEEEEEE
You need the right equipment and supportive skills
Wait wtf just happened what was that spell that kept makeing the boss get hit so many times

my games broken, that ability dont work, kida got it to work. cast 2 times on same player
did they patch this? she’s using magic and taking my reflective veil away.... smh
Gotta break her every turn
Wash, rinse, repeat.
how much time did it take irl?
What level were you when you did this boss?
It was around 50 levels.
They’re all around level 43. (See 9:06)
I have obtained the Sorcerer and Runeblade jobs. Trying to decide which to go for next, Warmaster, or Starseer?

am I the only one that tried, 100000 times to kill this boss but loosed
My experience with this boss.
“Hmm today I will grab Starseer job.”
> clueless
> eats 4058 damage nuke
I am having difficulty because of her restore balance can anyone help?
Very nice
Thank you!
Why did you think it was a good idea to speed up the battle? That's what we came here to see
How did you use reflective veil on all allies?
Dancer divine skill, sealtige seduction, allows single target moves to target all characters.
I beat her without using any Advanced Job, nor any of its Support Skills
Anyone know the name of this theme?
The one that plays when fighting Sterra.
eligamerman They Who Govern Reason 🥰 I just went looking for it too

Even at lvl 99 with all members you won’t stand a chance against these bosses without a plan. So your trainer is useless ….
