Welp tried this on my old old dryer and when I turned it on I heard crackling and the back of the dryer drum looks a bit melted. Followed this video plus a ton of others that is the same. No idea what happened. should've known better than to DIY W/ electricity. Excellent video though, super detailed!!
Hey! Thanks for your great videos. I have an unrelated question. It’s about lg WM4500hba. It was just delivered brand new as a replacement for the same model that had a dent. Whenever it feels with water after shutting off the valve, it makes a metal on metal noise. It comes from inside the washer. Also the dd motor is noisier than the previous one. Do you think this is the minor issue or should I call the store and ask them to replace it? Thanks
I doubt you're interested, but I have old 1980s Speed Queen top-load washing machine that I tried to repair but stopped working on because lots of rust in the bottom of the tub preventing me and my friend from refurbishing it with little to no tools that we have. I think it would be a good opportunity for a TH-cam video trying to see if it could be repaired, I live in Orrville Ohio if you're interested.
Hate to tell you but you are wrong. on a 4wire cord, the dryer ground wire STAYS connected to the metel frame and the green wire from the cord connects to the same screw on the frame. green to green. the white wire of the cord goes to the middle terminal. the only time you do what you are saying is if you are installing a 3 wire cord.
What’s extremely dangerous is plugging your chord into the all outlet without first connecting your terminals and with the power on so you can check to see if your 4 prong actually fits…like me…quite a shocking experience to say the least.
My clothes are now drying because of you. Thank you
Omg I needed this a year ago. We bought the chord for this. Lol I plugged it in without it being grounded and branded myself. Im okay though haha😊
Just Subscribed for your well and right Way to connect ground terminal and separate neutral 👍

I think just using electrical Tape wrapped around the Neutral for ground wire and isolated . It should be Okay

You gotta throw the whole dryer away now

The guy who made this video is actually correct, it will tell you as much in any manual that comes with the dryer
Isn’t this extremely dangerous?
Using the adaptor is extremely dangerous. Replacing the chord is the safest way.
