    It worked for me. Tks a lot. I had to add port [8080] in connection settings. Eg: Blynk.begin(auth, ssid, password, server, port);

    If anyone is having trouble getting the smtp part to work like I did, make sure the mail.properties file is in the same folder as the server-0-22.0.jar file.

    Is there any way to run a blynk client on the same raspberry pi as the blynk server? Why not to make use of Pi's GPIO which itself can act as an IoT ?? Server as an IoT device itself??

    @04:30 you should hide that your password is visible along with email. Although the date is too old but I believe you should remove these for safety. Good luck for the next one . Nice content just try to improve the narration part and it will be perfect. 👍

    Is this possible that when we are in local area, we operate on local server,
    And when we are outside the local server area, we operate on cloud server.
    Please tell me if this is doable.

      @reboot java -jar /home/pi/Blynk/server-YOUR_SERVER_VERSION.jar -dataFolder /home/pi/Blynk &

      +Madhukesh Tejaswi good question.You can access your local server from anywhere by port forwarding.just forward local server port from router settings.
      You will find many tutorials on Google for port forwarding.
      To access your local server from anywhere use public IP address instead of local IP

      +Madhukesh Tejaswi just serach on TH-cam how to port forward for "your router company".you will get many tutorials.
      My personal advise is Do not port forward because your server can be easily get hacked by the hacker they can control all u r devices.
      I personally recommend u to use Blynk Cloud server by purchasing energy.

    • @madhukeshnp
      @madhukeshnp 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you are right !!! It will be vulnerable to hacking... But by using blynk cloud server, the problem will be - when i loose my internet connection , the project wont work at all that is the main draw back.. Can you suggest some good ideas ? So that the project should be accessible from both local as well as blynk cloud server ... I am running the local server on RPi3 as of now...
      Thank you in advance

    • @electronicsforever1
      @electronicsforever1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +gnouht info app password and mail.properties are completely different from each other.
      mail.properties password is your gmail password.
      App password is your blynk app password which is used for login in app.
      mail.properties used to send emails from servers only.

    • @electronicsforever1
      @electronicsforever1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      no,
      mail.properties pwd & app pwd is not enter related to each other.
      u can use any pwd for app.
      in mail.properties u need to provide ur gmail password.only one time.
      mail.properties use ur gmail for sending emails like auth tokens emails to users.
      you can create many different accounts on local server. u have full access.
