I think they have an immediate need for small forwards and rebounding defenders. A mid-fielder will arguably take longer to develop and also earn a spot in the best 23. Joel Friejah, Riley Garcia, Caleb Poulter and Ryley Sanders are all capable of playing key midfield positions in the coming years with more development. They need to see how Lachy Smith develops before they invest in more ruck talent, English has several good years ahead of him but needs to work on his craft, no one is criticising his aerobic fitness and goal kicking. A very good small forward or two could make the team next season and push players like Vandermeer and MacNeil out.
Immediate need for dogs 1/ Small forward (Vandermeer and McNeil are back up only, both don’t kick many goals and both fumble) - Berry Hannerford 2/ Outside mid with run and carry, our wings are not damaging enough. Hotton. Morares Ough Davidson 3/ midfield given Treloar and Libba are at end of career and Smith and Macrae no longer there
Great video. I believe the dogs will be targeting either a small forward or midfielder at their first pick. Ideally either of Berry/Hotton/Hannaford. Ruck stocks aren’t ideal especially given Lobb has moved to the backline. May be worth using a late pick / rookie pick on the best state league ruckman
Fantastic assessment as usual, I feel the Bulldogs biggest need is to plug the Williams sized hole in their team, while they went ok last year without him, they struggled with depth. Keep up the awesome work 💙 💛 🦅 🏆
With Crows' new Logo reveal, you should do a video ranking every clubs last rebrand, how successful it was, and the likeliness of another rebrand soon, my guess being Saints or Bombers, as they both looking to push a new era.
Berry/Hotton or Hannaford is who I hope for at the first. Angus Clarke is who I’ve heard us (the dogs) linked to at the second by a few now but I’d also like if Oliver was around this mark and Sam Davidson from the Richmond VFL team. Although I’d be comfortable if another key defender was taken here, someone like O’Farrell or Mraz that can cover those big talls & rucks
Besides your videos I haven’t really kept up with the draft, I occasionally check cal form guide but I think we need a small forward. I’d go for berry if available, if not I don’t have a clue on any other gun smalls
in the mock draft I'm working on I have the dogs trading away pick 17 when the bombers try to trade back into this year after a kako bid, not sure it's realistic
I would say that my team is very uninteresting when it comes to this draft. The Hawks have two late picks, I doubt that they will trade back into the first round, unless there is some player they are desperate to get but that seems unlikely as there is no obvious positional need either now or in the short term. With the addition of Barrass and Battle, there is genuine depth across every line, it is a team with very good players all over but you have to question how many true A graders are there. So there is very little for them to do in this draft.
@MapleDogs82 Because of his comment at the start of the video. He said that the dogs position is interesting and then added that nearly every team is. I don't think that Hawthorn are.
I'm having Coffield over Duryea any day, his younger more talented and all rounded better, also taller but can play on small/medium forwards also where's riley Garcia should have him on the half forward over Vandermeer
Need Replacements For Smith Daniel & MacRae + A Tall So!🤔, Berry Trainor Moraes & Hynes. But! Knowing The Dogs They'll Be Dumb Enough To Draft Another Smokey ( I Wouldn't)
Tim English is highly skilled in kicking and handballing, with excellent judgment; but he is NOT a ruckman. If you look at the statistics, he has never beaten an opponent: he is too passive; and after the first quarter, he often becomes non-competetive. If the club physician fails to Rx testosterone for Tim, let him play in defense or up forward, where he shines.

Trading away with who and for what?
@MapleDogs82 trading with the bombers for a future first
Depends if taj or xavier or joe berry is there at 17
I feel like it would take a fair bit to tempt the Dogs to part with their only top 20 pick. If it were my choice, I'd hold 17!
@@TrueFootyAFL if they can get a combination of Berry, Hannaford and Dattoli with their first two picks I'll be thrilled.
First pick id love lindsey, taj or berry. If not are avalable, maybe trade it

No offence but why are you commenting about Hawthorn on a Bulldogs video?

@@spindoctor6385 Haha fair point! The Hawks, Cats and Pies are hard to cover this draft. Unless your boys trade in of course

Coffield sucks!
Duryea was solid last year. Will need to be replaced in this draft though, I have my eye on Harrison Oliver and Angus Clarke
Duryea is a real pro and always reliable. He'll never let you down and always go the extra mile.
