With all the bad and negative things going on, it was lekker to watch something so beautiful. I live in a country with golden shores and mountains high, with warm deserts and stretched out plains, hot springs and snowy mountains, a place where 2 oceans meet..... What a blessing!

I lived in South Africa for 6 years, I denied I got attached but I did, I learnt a lot from the people both white and black. Ubuntu is real, and I learnt how to value community and team work. The politics can make you think there is a division but there is nothing like a SouthAfrican who is determined to get something done. Hats off to all the wonderful citizens who make this nation a beautiful place to live and visit. I miss my second home.

Maybe next time you can explore KwaZulu Natal and LeSotho too. You could also take the garden route in the spring, it’s absolutely beautiful; even to myself a local it’s breathtaking every time.

Anele Cape Town in 4K. That should be the title of the video. Problem is that humans always do things according to their one taste & familiarity & biases. Rest of South Africa was hardly covered in this video.
Thank you for this absolutely graceful video. I am South African and moved abroad a year ago. Watching this has made my heart ache for home. While watching this I remember the smell of freshly fallen rain which one can only understand if you have visited South Africa. It is a beautiful country with beautiful people.
I miss home as well. People ask me to describe SA but it’s so hard to describe everything. You just have to go and see for yourself.
I love living in South Africa. It has one of the best climate, beautiful natural vibes and awesome scenic places on the planet.
More like Cape Town + some game reserves in 4K....missed 90% of the country. However this was still awesome.

Just finished a two month trip through South Africa and it's definitely one of the most beautiful countries I've been to. Already looking forward to a return visit.

I was filming for a company called Ticket to Ride so I didn't have many costs. I plan to visit again with some friends and do a road trip from Cape Town to Drakensberg mountain though! Renting a car is pretty cheap and there are many backpackers along that route.

This can never do justice. I’m from Cape Town South Africa and I have not even seen much. I explore it through running and cycling, trail running and mountain biking and that’s just Cape Town. There so much more that table mountain and the sea in Cape Town in this beautiful country.

the quality is insane , do you mind sharing what camera and what lens. and do you shoot Slow mo in 1080 120 because it really looks crisp and sharp !
I used a Panasonic Lumix GH5 with Leica lens 12-60, about Slow mo 95% is recorded in 4k 60fps and a couple of shots are in 1080 180fps. Its really smooth and sharp because this camera is simply insane! Thanks for the comment! ;)

Each time I see "The king of the jungle" my heart jumps, love it, great visuals.
This was absolutely one of the best videos I’ve seen about my home country. It really amplify all that is great about SA and after seeing it, I felt homesick and would love to be there now and go do some of it.
Chris, you clearly have not seen much of South Africa. I've lived here for my entire life (54years) and have toured and holidayed with my caravan from the Cape to Musina (South to North) and from Sprinbok in the West to Durban and Kosie Baai in the East, and I can tell you with absolute certainty that this video does not do it justice at all!
Brilliant composition of video highlights of South Africa that I've seen myself over several trips now, AND put together with quick brief flashes of scenic highlights with sound - backed by a very well chosen music score.
Can't wait to go back to this Beautiful Country and family xx
As an Asian, I visited most of the famous countries in Europe and lived in the US for a while, but Cape Town was one of the most beautiful places I had ever visited.
Thinking back to my trip to South Africa 8 years ago I regret not being into filmmaking then, but now I just have this video to satisfy that need since there is no way I could have made so wonderful as this
