    4 misinformation that has long been refuted in the case of Kris and Lisanne:
    They did not take the family dog on a walk. The dog belonged to a restaurant owner and was most likely not on the tour.
    It was not the host family who informed the authorities, but the tour guide, because they did not show up for a planned tour with him.
    There were not 77 attempts to call the police, but 8.
    The clothes were not neatly folded.
    The tour guide did not go into the women's room just like that, but to look for them and even on the instructions of the police, and he was never alone.
    We have been researching this case for over a year and have gained many new insights. We have analyzed the court files and spoken to everyone involved. It would be nice if all these lies would finally stop - people come to harm because they are innocently suspected.

    20:16 never risk your life for a photo. When I was 9, my family and I were on a trip to the mountains, and we were at a wonderful viewing spot. This teenager boy, who was with his mom, dad and sister, went OVER the fence, and was trying to very dangerously take a selfie, with him barely on the mountain. His family was screaming at him to get down, and at 9 years old, it was a really scary experience. His mom was crying, his sister and dad were screaming at him, and luckily, he was ok. oh come on... that first one is 1000% a crime.
    the somber and odd photos, the extra shadow, the folded clothes, bleached bones, the tour guide spending WAY too much time in their room, him somehow finding their remains instead of the police, and that review...
    i bet it was the tour guide, and the deleted photo was likely one taken of him, which he'd have to delete to keep his alibi.
    i'm surprised the photo was perma-deleted, though... almost nothing is permanently gone when deleted on modern devices... you'd think some tech experts could've retrieved the photo if the camera was even remotely modern.

    I dove into the Kris and Lisanne story years ago when I first heard about it. After a certain point, Lisanne is no longer in any of the photos...just Kris. I have never believed that it was Lisanne taking those photos of Kris, it was someone else at that time. One photo shows Kris standing in front of a very brushy area. She's definitely not posed, she's a good distance away from the camera and it appears to me that her hands might be tied behind her back. The photos that were taken during the night, that wasn't them at all in my opinion. That was someone fascinated with the camera. I suspect either the woman that 'found' the backpack or a child that was 'playing' with it. Those girls were kidnapped and I suspect the woman that turned in the backpack saw them while they were alive and knows exactly what happened to them.

The narrators still maintaina good conversational cadence using appropriate inflections that make listening to them so stress free. With other channels the narrators seem to be in a rush; no inflections nothing. So robotic and annoying. I'm glad that this channel is still the same with perfect pauses allowing the viewers to react/absorb in the visuals which in turn creates an experience where one is thoroughly interested throughout. It was only for a brief moment in time, but he was there, a seemingly random guy walking past behind me. He looked kinda shady, with a long trench coat bushy facial hair, and a serious look in his face. Weeks after our visit in that amusement park, we were sitting in the dining table and a flash report soon came in. 2 deaths in that same amusement park is being investigated and one of their key evidence was the screenshot of a CCTV footage of a man acting suspiciously while walking aimlessly around the park and low and behold, he was the same guy who photo bombed me. Unfortunately by the time I realized that the guy who photo bombed me was the wanted murder suspect, my aunt already took the photograph for future reference when she decides to visit the same amusement park I went in.

    Regarding the "Overcoming Your Demons" story: my mother worked as a counsellor at a recovery home for women in the late '90s and early 2000s. I remember her showing me some pictures from the graduation of some of the residents. One picture showed what looked like a haze partially covering one of the graduates - ONLY that graduate - who was in the middle of the picture. The rest of that picture and every other one taken were completely clear. It was the first time I had ever heard the term "familiar spirit", so I agree that it's possible the "dog" could be a demon representing addiction.

    Haven’t seen/read the full story of Chris, too close from home to feel comfortable going through it. I tend to agree that there is something twisted in what we consider the norm, the way we seem to build our relationship around what’s convenient "for us" and not simply accepting/caring everyone seem to be an extension of the way we consume goods, and in that sense, I can relate. I’m not sure if he should or shouldn’t be considered a hero. From my limited understanding, he simply lived the way he wanted to live, hoping for the best, trying his best to accept the worst. I doubt we should consider the idea that he died as something going against what he lived for, having a meaningful life (from oneself point of view) is way more important than having a long life. There is a huge difference between being alive and living. IF he lived in accordance to what he felt was right for himself, I guess we can, at the very least, respect him for following what he believed in.

    10:26 The place where the person is standing facing the vertical cliff is behind him the top of a ridge that is quite steep. If you know photography, you know that the longer the focal length of the lens (e.g. 200mm - when the normal focal length is 50mm) - the more it flattens the distances in the picture. Therefore, the top of the ridge on which the person is standing looks really steep behind him. But it is not. It can even be almost horizontal if it were photographed from the left or right of him. A long focal length lens also makes distant objects appear larger than they would appear when naturally observed. Therefore, photographs taken with a long focal length lens are recorded as distorted, and cause unnecessary fear in people unfamiliar with this phenomenon, if they are inclined to believe that everything is as it seems.

    Yeah, I have no doubt that the first one was some crime. Bleched bones, the folded clothes? That's already pretty damning evidence, no wolf or bear would be like "Mm, this was a good snack. Better fold up these clothes I very carefully took off my meal." But then the missing photo and the tour guide's review? Yeah, I'm not saying HE is the one who murdered them, but they were definitely not killed by any natural wild life.

    • @thekueken
      @thekueken หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      The order of events seems to be unclear. The "bleached" bones are iffy, tho it does not say wether they were sun or actual chemically bleached (which would be a dead give-away). There are natural phenomenons that can cause bones to "bleach". But yeah, the summary implies it wasn't natural...
      Meantime, the clothes may have been the first girl going for a swim, taking off her clothes and folding them, either out of habit or to easier spot and shake out bugs or im an attempt at preventing them from getting in in the first place... In that scenario she either slipped or got attacked and mauled by an animal, chasing the other girl off to die at a later point somehow...
      Before anyone rolls their eyes at me: Why an actual killer would fold the laundry and leave all that neat evidence behind is just as difficult to explain.
      There's just too little information and too many variables to be certain either way.

      @@thekuekenwhat about the deleted picture? That's a mystery all the way that cannot be recovered. It should be even if it's deleted

    • @thekueken
      @thekueken หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@HarryPeanut I explained in another comment here much more elaborate, but in short: yes, pressing "delete" does not delete the file data, just the coordinates/pathway. However if after that deletion more data needs to be stored, the no longer designated physical area of the drive is fair game to be overwritten.
      Assuming the investigators did their job, but the file was unrecoverable, that may imply several things:
      1) the file was deleted pretty much right after it was taken, and after that the girls themselves took those night time images (maybe the deleted one was the first night time image and at that point they still cared about deleting blurry non-depicting things at first, but then kept using the camera as a flashlight and stopped bothering to delete, especially since browsing the menu and additional active camera time the deletion took, it further drained valuable battery life...) - with only the last/latest file having been deleted, that data would have been overwritten by the next picture(s) or any other subsequent input as the system would have again recognized it as "free space" / continued writing new data after the last still recognized chronological saved file.
      2) a third party deleted the image and then either the girls themselves or that third party took more images (we see only the back of a messy head of hair, presumably one of the girls' - other than that, anyone could haven taken those images - maybe for the sole purpose of overwriting an incriminating image?)
      3) all the pics were taken, the girls killed, their murderer went through the cam and found an incriminating image, returned to civilization and was pretty tech-savy and managed to delete that one image and that one image only perfectly without caring about the gap the numbering left.... And then returned to the woods and placed the camera (or was it a phone? Then they took a phone back towards cell phone towers? Where it could ping the network again?) back among the girls' belongings, instead of throwing the whole thing away, when it would have been a likely scenario (for option 2 as well) that the girls simply lost the camera (/phone) at some point, unrecoverable in the expanse of the woods...
      I have seen ppl here inferring scenario 3, so I felt like spelling it out in its whole. Getting the software to permanently delete a single file is not the issue, but the rest of it...
      There is also a scenario 4, depending on how the system stores data and priorities in regards to fragmentation:
      The girls took some of the night time images themselves, someone deleted an incriminating image and then only added a few new images, which would have possibly done the job of overwriting the drive space of the deleted image data.
      Options 2 and 4 do infer that a third party knew how system storage and overwriting works, 4 goes as far as knowing what system the device used... Looking at the many comments referring to how supposedly suss it is that the investigators had not been able to recover that file, makes me question wether that tour guide would have known... Not to mention, to be sure enough the image data would have been overwritten that way.

    The train. I almost witnessed something similar. It left me shaken for a long time afterward. I was waiting for a train to pass and an inebriated man stumbled over to my car with his dog to ask for a light. I gave it to him, the train passed, but the gates were still down. He started across the tracks with his dog and saw the train from the other direction just in the nick of time. I think my heart stopped for a moment. He just meandered on his way. I said a prayer to God for his dog and him.

    The 3 girls and the railroad tracks...mean as this sounds, they sort of proved Darwin's theory of evolution. Which is him quoting 'survival of the fittest', It basically means the individuals of the species we are are better adapted to our environment. It was clear when you hear a train honk and it is not coming from the train coming...sense would say 'hey, look to your other side.' - They did not and Darwin won this round.

    I'm guessing the first one was a Suicide/Murder. The Clothes were probably taken off before jumping into the river, which solves the bleached bones. They were probably trying to find their way out, but they got lost. As a final attempt to prevent them from being mauled, they drowned themselves, which then, someone discovered the Camera left behind. They were most likely looking through the Camera roll but deleted one accidentally. I could be wrong.

    7:44 I know this story from German influenza, I think I heard it three years ago! I asked the question there and I asked the question here: can no one, maybe the police or someone else bring back the photo which is deleted?I know that there are many ways to restore deleted photos, and if you succeed, you might see what was on the deleted photo and can draw further conclusions there whether it is a crime or an accident? I apologize for my bad English because German is my native language
