These komatsu dozers are some of the best equipment made my uncle had a komatsu D66 crawler loader I believe it was a 1985 86 He also had a 255A komatsu dozer he loved his komatsu dozers but he had a Cat D9 G from the late 1960s he always said the komatsu 255 would out push and out rip a D9 any day of the week
I used to see cat 931s,955s, 977s digging basements all the time before excavators pretty much took over. Used to cut road grade and everything else. All I see track loaders used for anymore is backfilling on water and sewer jobs.

Your baby sure has some grunt in comparison, but like you ive got the opening bucket and it makes it so useful , just love playn with it.

The old D8 dozers with no rops/fops we’re some crazy looking beasts. Used to see them a lot around here. Think some larger dozers had no rops/fops too. Was always wondering the same tho... what would happen if she went over. Guess it wouldnt be too pretty. Lol
He’s a good operator for sure. Those older Kom loaders were great for land clearing and dev tho. I’d almost rather have that than a 963K. But... the 963K has a nice cab with heat and ac... and a radio. Lol
