i'm a swimjig master and like vids like this. likewise, i use various setups per time of year and body of water. completely agree with the 4 ply braided line approach. take your pick but sunline sx1 saws through lily pads really well. i believe swimjigging is a technique for covering water quick, making a lot of accurate casts so i'm usually on a 6'10-7' rod. if i'm on braid i'm running a medium rod...fluoro a medium heavy. i rarely throw a 3/8oz...usually qtr to 5/16...most of the time floating it. but yeah, swim jig fishing is slept on with many.
@castandchill xzone swammers, issei caramel shads, rage menace, rage bug, zoom speed craw, jackall b crawl 3.8, missile baits mini & chunky D chunk, etc...try as many as you can to know what you like.
What’s up My Bro! That garage/ boat cave is 🔥 Ive been watching your season and you really turned is on in the latter part of the season! I’m proud of you Brother! Good Luck at Red Crest🙏🏾
Nice video. I have not used a swim jig very much, so my confidence is low. I want to and I need to use it more, but I always go back to a Texas rig for creature baits.
I normally limit my jig fishing to other than heavy cover and I may have been overlooking some really good areas where bass live. I'm going to give your suggestions a try soon. Thanks for sharing.
I was pissed when academy gave me the wrong gear ratio when I bought my reel. But a 6.8:1 isn't so that bad after all. Going to try this tomorrow. 🤙🏾💯💯💯
I've been waiting on this video, that jig looked great, I like dirty jigs for the most part for swimming, I've got several freedom tackle ones also, I would like to see a jerk bait setup because that's going to be the player for the most part coming up to throw! Again great turn around year for you, hope Adrian is doing good, he hasn't made a video in awhile!👍🎣
Thanx Mark. My favorite way to catch bass. Like you said, some of the bits are visual. No bass is safe if your throwing a swim jig.
Thanks for the straight talk Mark!!!
Love that outro music. Takes me to you guys mid season episodes.

Love this Mark! I just goes on a swim jig last night, let’s hope it does work!! Thanks for the tips!
Time to go pick up that RED boat!!
What other baits besides the swim jig do you use the Alabama hop with?
What pound test if seafarers do you use in the swimming, thanks
Can you do a video on when to use braid. I feel like I get crazy different answers every time

I gotta check that line out!
Hex on deck 🔥🔥
You already know!
Good info! Does braided line color matter when swim jig fishing?
For swim jig fishing I would use some natural. Green, browns or black 👍🏾

Appreciate ya watching!! Check the vid list we’ve already done Jerkbait. Best of luck 👊🏾
What speed was the reel? Do u want a faster speed or more power?
Welp, u just answered that in the next min or two lol✌️🤷♂️
Haha 💪🏾
Great video. What about 25 pound fluracarbon?
In this situation no good. More open water it’s fine
Is a swim jig good for fishing on open water, when there's no grass?
Yes is can be.
Do you change out your trailers for different covers? Maybe a "rate the bait" trailer subject?
I almost always use a swimbait of a swimming craw style
How can I get a custom jig because I have a hard time finding a jig for me that checks all the boxes
There so many guys that make custom stuff, heck you could even make your own.
Please do a buzzbait rate the bait, I don’t if it’s just me but it seems that there are many brands people don’t know of
I got a place that’s sell the diawa braid 4x for $5 lol. I bet I have 20 spools of 65lb just for frogs and swim jigs on a Dobnys 736 lol😂.
Straight braid? Or do you throw fluoro with it sometimes? Love this braid btw got it on two of my setups
I don't know. One guy says to use flouro, and then others use straight braid. I'm confused. I use 40lb with a 21lb copolymer leader.
In this “Heavy cover” scenario, I use straight bread. And more open water situation all use flouro
Braid
Love me a swimjig
Set up for crankbait
Tactix or Smackdown for frog fishing?
Def tactx and it will even get better once you break it in
Smack is more finesse lite line spin stuff it’s pricey
100% TactX
Soooooooooo are you interested in me sending you some of the swim jigs we designed? Has a wire keeper on it just like you like!😎
Sure bro I’ll check em out.
@@MarkDanielsJrhow would I go about getting them in your hands man.
@@MarkDanielsJr posted a short video on my page of the swim jigs if you want to check them out.
Looks a lot like a Gmoney… I can’t find them anymore!
Hey cuz when can we hook up and go fishing I want to go fishing with you on lake Martin this is Ernest Brown from shorter.
I want to see something about chatterbait
More flip pong!
There is no such thing as a medium-heavy action rod.
Alrighty then 😂
Dirty jigs compact 5/16 and Netbait kickin B mini
Solid combo 💪🏾
