    I’m sad that I’ve grown up in Salinas, have family that was born and raised in Watsonville for three generations , and also have members of my family that are Filipino, and NOT ONCE have I heard about this. Thank you for the video.

    Thank you Dr. B for including people from the Philippines which if I'm not misaken fought off the Spanish before Spain wrongly "sold" the islands to the U.S. Far from docile, there were male and female revolutionaries, and leaders among the 1800s islanders and the Ifugao province or Mindanao was never colonized. My husband is proudly part Apache and we love Indegenous cultures and history which should be preserved and taught as essential world history. Indgenous peoples should be first in line for any reparations and land, and the land they do have needs protection (from pipelines and takeovers).
