Keep it up bud. Kind of a bad time to learn how to drift during the rainy season down here but it will help you learn how to control the slide. You just need more seat time to get use to the cars power and steering. But most importantly, have fun. Thats what is all about.
Bronte is way too supportive lol! Luckily for you, everyone sucks in the beginning, it’s all part of it. In regards to the handbrake, don’t worry about it. Like you mentioned with angle, the handbrake is also a crutch for beginners. You should be using throttle and clutch input, and weight transfer to initiate drifts. Handbrake is like level 10 stuff, you’re on level 1.
You know who would be the best guy to colab with at this exact point? I will give you a hint: he drives a miata and just went to the top of the podium at clutch kickers, and he's the OG that got your bud Garrett into drifting. And you know I bet both of your channels would benefit from doing that video from each's perspective. You could use a Ray of sunshine on that rainy day ;-)
Store the 240 at the LZ compound and get a beater Z3, miata, whatever... from auction. Or, borrow a trainer car from somebody. I'm sure you will be able to rock the 240 in no time. You are a car person who adapts well.
Next time you have track time, doughnut practice. get tight and large down and then being able to change size down. Then set up a second cone and do the same thing with figure 8s. You can move them farther away later and pick up more speed then hand brake into a tight clip and power out. We played a game at a clinic with a 3rd come and you had to watch the instructor as you came around a cone and he would point to which you had to go to next. Learn left foot braking too after awhile. If you get it in your bag of tricks now transitioning into tandem will be better. And a huge tip. Learn to let go of the wheel when you can. The car will do so much on its own. Watch my hands. Small corrections and let the car transition, slip the wheel when you can.th-cam.com/video/nM9uiDTuHec/w-d-xo.html
@@CooperBogetti Often a problem with lowered cars, is the rear suspension changes loosens them up n restoring the angles can add traction/grip.
