Now, on her seventh go-around, she's determined to live to a ripe old age and spend it relaxing. But the moment she flees the castle with that decision in her heart, she runs into the infamously cruel crown prince of a rival kingdom, Arnold Hein. He happens to be the one who killed her during her life as a knight, but now, he seems to have taken a bizarre liking to her... and begs her to become his wife. Thus, in order to stay alive and prevent a war, Rishe utilizes her previous experiences to kick off her seventh life as the bride of an enemy nation's crown prince.

I thought he only killed her once, in the 6th life, in her other lives she just died due to the war he created and her first life was on another continent but still killed by the same war.
@@deadsharke1718 I'll be honest, haven't watched "Kaguya-sama" (aside from a couple clips).
She's the only one aware of those other deaths. Can't really blame him for being the cause of her death in previous lives that this version had nothing to do with.
Can't hold it against someone for what they _will_ do, only for what they have done.

one of the best anime i’ve ever watched. usually i skip a lot because i get bored easily but the pacing, the dialogues and the illustrations were SO perfect i didn’t skip a single second

From the first light novel, that doesn't seem to be the case. Granted there are more books, so more evidence to your theory might show up then, he doesn't seem to be aware of the loop.
Yeah I agree. He does seem to suspect something (he makes a snide comment about her seeing the future), but as for time loops, he seema to have no idea.
As of the latest volume (6, with 4 translated to english), no one still knows she knows the future.

He was planning on breaking up with her in a way that would cause her to cry and give the satisfaction of seeing her heartbroken, except she had time looped so when he broke up with her in this life she just was like okay and turned and left before he could move her to tears. So he's trying to somehow do his plan of shaming her in public which is really hard to do as she's just booking it.
He wants to feel like she feels something for him since he's narcissistic.

Not really. The majority of anime are just glorified commercials to sell merchandise. In that case, it's a light novel. They don't care if you watch the anime. What they do care about is that a lot of people watch the anime and then buy the light novel. The anime itself doesn't generate a lot of profit.

When he ran into her she gave off the posture and body language that she knew how to use a sword. The average person can't detect that, but Arnold being the greatest swords master in the world picked that up. So he tested her by drawing his sword.
Why was this just posted 2 months ago? Didn't it first air 4 months ago? Anyway, it turned out beyter than expected from the second episode. I binged. I think the first 3 or teo and it was so good. Then the series just gets even better as it progresses. Beautiful ending, and can't wait for that season 2 announcement!

So your idea of a marriage proposal is attacking someone with a sword and pop out the question if that person can block you? I don't know which is worse; this incident or asking someone out on a date by gunpoint. Gunpoint part is an amagi brilliant park reference.
The line is sorta missing in the anime, but when he first meets her on her escape , he recognizes her combatability and that attack from behind was a test of sort to see if she rly was a trained swordsmen as he believed.
@@TheAzureGhostThis was how I took it. He saw something in her movements, and the attack was getting verification. I'd imagine he'd already decided he wanted to propose, and the sword block was the final test.

He picked up from her body language that she is a swords master, so he decided to test to see if he was certain. He is more than capable of testing someone to see if they are a swordsman by provoking them with a sword without actually causing them harm if they are not a swordsmaster. He also had two swords. She unsheathed his backup sword which was on purpose of him to have in her reach.

Most of the other times she only died as a sideeffect of the war without ever meeting him and atleast according to the sub version she once died even without impact of that war. (All Info from episode1)
