Glad you enjoyed your time in Wisconsin! It would have been great to have a meet & greet so all your WI fans(and those near here) could have stopped by to say hello!! You did a great job on the video showcasing the machinery!
So great to see you were 45 min from my house! The great Sask Dutch Kid in Madison and I didn't get to say hello! Think I was there the next day from the show part I can tell but hope you had a great trip!
Wow! That Triolet self propelled feed mixer is a game changer! That would be great for you! You are only 90 miles from me, enjoy your visit! It was a nice weekend too!
Came over the pond from the UK to visit the Expo with semex over 10 years ago, was a brilliant trip, got talking to some brilliant breeders in the bar (bull pit) would love to do it again
Do dairy farms have multiple pieces of equipment for each stage for redundancy? For example, would a farm have multiple chillers in case one goes down?
Nice to see you south of the border welcome . I live about 1 1/2 south of Madison in northern Illinois. Been watching your channel for about 3 years now. I love your content keep it coming
Hello Jan, I was wondering: in such a competition, are there points allocated to milk production (% of cream, quantity produced daily, etc.) or does this type of competition only consider physical parameters and aesthetics of the cow?
@@timothymbonham4453So, I understand that a cow that is aesthetically pretty and wins this competition is not necessarily a productive cow. This type of competition therefore does not do honor to the dairy industry. Which is a shame. A simple analysis of the milk it produces, done prior to judging its aesthetics and considered during the evaluation of the other criteria, would have been enough to crown both the most beautiful, but also the most productive.
@@girardsimon1397 Well, the Judges in Dairy shows are very knowledgeable about dairy cows -- they aren't looking just for "aesthetically pretty" cows. They look for those qualities that experience shows are likely to indicate a good milk producer. Pretty is just an extra! Winning cows won't necessarily turn out to be a good milker, but the odds will favor that.
I live 1.5 hours south of Madison and have been to the World Dairy Expo numerous times. I was raised on the #2 herd in Illinois of Registered Holsteins. My question is..... do you Classify your cows? And are they registered or grades?
Some nice equipment here, but growing up in Saskatchewan I know how much more versitile multiple tractors can be compared to some of these "all in one" units.
I would love to know the price of these machines. I'm guessing you're not allowed to tell us. But holy cow I would love to know. Thanks for the great video!
Be careful in America 🇺🇸 things are getting crazier by the minute 🤦♂️ it seems to me it went to hell in 2016 🤷♂️ anyway, your videos are great, keep up the hard work 😓

Great job!! I can't even imagine what the price tags say on these items...
AWESOME!
As hard as you work and as dedicated as you are it is nice that you get recognized for what you do. Nice of DeLaval to do that.
I remember going there over 50 years ago as a Freshman with our Ag Class. Oh My.😮
Do dairy farms have multiple pieces of equipment for each stage for redundancy? For example, would a farm have multiple chillers in case one goes down?
Redundancy is figured into the BTUs to cool the milk in case one unit goes down.
Amazing! 👍👍
So cool to see the nuhn stuff, I drive by the factory every day to get to work
are they still hiring welders
Hope you enjoyed Wisconsin!! And some chesse curds 😉
Awesome video. I live 100 miles south of Madison Wisconsin.

I grew up close to there and was at the expo. Sorry I missed you. Would have love to touch base.
Jan, Next time you come across the border, you should let us know. I'm sure a lot of people would have loved to have a meet and greet with you.
Jan you can put a monitor in your cab and a couple of cameras on your harvester for for a lot less then the fuel that JD will burn
Nice to see you south of the border welcome . I live about 1 1/2 south of Madison in northern Illinois. Been watching your channel for about 3 years now. I love your content keep it coming

COOL 😎 GEAR 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰JAN 🇺🇸🙏🇨🇦
So much nice new equipment that could be very handy to use if only the bank account could afford the cost.
Hello Jan,
I was wondering: in such a competition, are there points allocated to milk production (% of cream, quantity produced daily, etc.) or does this type of competition only consider physical parameters and aesthetics of the cow?
A Judge can only judge what they see in front of them, so it's only on the conformity of the animal.
@@timothymbonham4453So, I understand that a cow that is aesthetically pretty and wins this competition is not necessarily a productive cow. Some nice equipment here, but growing up in Saskatchewan I know how much more versitile multiple tractors can be compared to some of these "all in one" units.

DeLaval is the best!
Good video. What did you buy?
12:01 - FBI stand on Weapons of Mass destruction !!!!

Jan you should come to the national ploughing championships next year
that crawler definitely came straight from Mad Max movie
I think some green machines would look good on the farm
Waarom gebruiken jullie geen zelf rijdende voermengwagen?
Wonder what dad would say if you pulled up on the farm with that new John Deere chopper? 😅
Would they take your Raptor in trade for one of those machines??
I know where you are lucky YOU have fun there

Imagine breaking that glass windshield on that Chopper wonder how much that would cost to replace
2:23 The poor poop scooper 😟 Was she wiping the lady off? I’m sure she was well paid, but … ewwww. I’m a whimp when it comes to manure!
If your gonna get a self propelled chopper go with class better quality and less up keep required because of the quality in materials
