Yeah, a warm garage is very nice. My own garage isn't heated exactly, but it's embedded in my house and well insulated, so it never gets very hot or cold (provided i keep the garage door closed!). So my car stays at a nice stable temperature, which is nice.

Thanks for the tour. For a bachelor pad your house is remarkably clean. My wife says the neutral colors allows you to add color without fear of clashing colors. Who would have thought recording yourself milking cows and scraping manure would turn out to be so rewarding. Congratulations Jan you deserve it.

Forgot: Add some pops of color to the living room. Like a couple of red throw pillows on the sectional, a throw blanket with bright colors to go with the throw pillows, a rug under the coffee table. A colorful thick floor mat in the kitchen under the sink area, buy some refrigerator magnets with cool pictures on them, art work with scenic landscapes and don't be afraid to get a beach scene one, same advice with the bedrooms too. Otherwise the possibilities are endless cuz ya got a blank slate and a Beautiful home. Hardwork pays off, Never apologize for it either ❤.

Oh, a door spot for boots! So that's how you avoid tracking mud and manure everywhere! The a/c seems also to be slow to catch on. My mother still thinks that when it's 35°C, you can open a window to cool down the house.
How about an old milking stool sitting beside the couch (under skull on wall). Put a pumpkin on it for Fall or mason jar with holly berries for Winter..maybe small snowman.

We started out in a house smaller than yours, then thought we needed a bigger one and built it, but now we are ready to go back to the much smaller one. Thank you for the tour! I wanted it forever. Cooking for yourself is harder than cooking for a few people. I like the house. I have my own but yours is better layout. The gym is good for body and brain, so stay with it. A 24 yr. old farm boy with his own house is the prime target for husband hunters so play safe. You have ten more years of freedom to enjoy before getting hitched is an issue. Put your plants on a tray so they can drain and water once a week. Give them a bit of miracle gro once in a while. Jan, as you pull into your driveway, you can look and see all of your hard work and accomplishments, knowing it was you who put this stuff here. I have always said how hard you work, amd this house is part of the rewards. It was really neat of you to show us a little of your personal life, Some people probably would have hae you open your cupboards, show under your beds look in your closets and everything else that is none of their business. They just don't know any better. I just enjoyed you showing us what you wanted. Every thing looked perfect to me and again thanks for all the entertainment you bring to us every day. You are awesome
That type of house suits you well. My only comment for change would be to add some color to it, with maybe some great landscapes. Perhaps of the Canadian Rockies. Would add interest and helps in the bleakness of winter.
Nice. I too worked with my family in a retail store. You have to leave the job, or you will go nuts. Staying on the job when you are not working is like never living the job. Being 5 minutes away is good enough to keep your sanity.

👍👍 My suggestion.for art; get some prints of paintings by Saskatchwan artist Glen Scrimshaw. The Glen Scrimshaw Gallery in S'toon. I suggest with black frames to match your other pictures and counters. While it in S'toon; stop by at Dutch Growers for some new plants. I highly recommend an Aloe Vera plant; to cut a leaf off to use for sun burns ect.

I really love the digs really great for a young guy your age Jan , I saw the 10th generation as it was built and the finished tour , and I think the cottage style will be great for relaxing , just sit and imagine you could just look out and see a lake. Congratulations and enjoy your home.
The sky is the limit for todays modular homes. You generally are dealing with large companies that know what they are doing. You eliminate a lot of headaches and keep your costs under control.
