i could watch planes taking off and landing all day and never get bored. they are enormous, majestic marvels. the sound of them is sooo awesome. those massive jet engines propelling the huge plane 31,000 feet in the air. wow! i wanna go to McCarran airport here in Las Vegas and film 100+ planes taking off and landing.
McCarran is probably one of my favorite airports after Dulles (IAD) because a lot of the gates overlook runways which makes for great spotting, and last time I went to Vegas going through security took no more than 5 minutes.
I really cherished this video, the zoom really makes an impact. I loved seeing those A380's and 747's. It is fascinating how zooming in can make it look like you are literally right under the airplane.
Have been fascinated by flight and aircraft since my childhood back in the 70's. Every time I fly, I can never get enough of the exhilaration of the takeoffs and landings. Sure am thankful for TH-cam and the many users uploading videos such as this one, thank you all.
One word 'Awesome' must be one of the best video's of LAX on TH-cam. I have been to LAX 3 times, and like yourself sat for hours watching the aircraft. Thanks for sharing. CloudSurfing_G - Liverpool, England.
JFK is my favorite but I always loved LAX. It has a lot of variety like JFK where there is not really a single dominant carrier, there are airliners from all over the world and very colorful to watch.
Great video. So much wide body action. The A380 is a monster and a technical,Ariel to be sure but it is just not a pretty aircraft. The 747 still looks elegant and majestic after all these years.
Pretty intense takeoffs. Wow, those 787s at 3:12 seemed to be hammering down the run way in hurry. 787s rotation angle was definitely shallower than others. Good video.
It draws my attention that when every A380 is taxing, there is like a security car driving along their side. Did you notice that? Great video by the way
Yes, the security cars caught my attention too! I thought they might drive along the plane to make sure the pilots aren't about to strike anything with the A380's massive wingspan.
I've noticed it but I think it's because it's that big, the the Airbus A380 might hit something when taxing. A few months ago an Air France hit a small commuter plane when arriving at the terminal in JFK. 😀
Love this video - and somehow, every time I watch it, I imagine what if Abraham Lincoln or Thomas Jefferson (even better, as the great inventor) could have seen these amazing machines. Dumb thought, but something I'd like to see nonetheless.
Those 2 B777-300ERs I could tell what airline they were. The first one ws definitely Turkish Airlines cuz I saw the livery during the video and I knew that IST is the IATA code for Istanbul/Ataturk, and the second one was definitely Eva Air Start Alliance Livery cuz I saw a star-like shape on the tail fin and i knew that TPE ws the IATA code for Taipei.
Emirates air bus A380 is honestly the best flight ever the economy class is so elegant you have so much leg room, the seats are so comfortable, good food, they served some pizza too! And I flew from JFK to Dubai and than to HYD india and I really love the airbus a lot the normal ones are ok but yea
+Are Gomez Usually the 767 are the largest aircraft they'll use within the continental US, but I think I saw him label an American 777 going to Miami which was shocking.
If I could I would build a house here with my front porch facing this, it would be so relaxing :) Right into my AVIATION playlist. I just subscribed your channel. ROCK ON!!!!!!!!
Lol there is a neighborhood directly behind him, actually there should be a mortuary directly behind where I think he's standing and a very narrow, very small dog park to his right.
I have a question for anyone who knows. I notice that as the A-380's taxi...there is an escort vehicle running along side...even if it's being towed. Is this because of the wingtip accident with the Delta 717? By the way...thanks for putting the flight info for the aircraft. I always wonder 'Where is that one going?" lol
Sananda Allsgood hey, sorry that's it's months past but the small car is there because of the massive wingspan and to block any intersection from other ground traffic (busses, cars) due to the danger that the pilots can't see the ground fully and maybe drive over it or it gets sucked in
Am I the only one that has trouble telling apart the B777, 767, and 787? I know the 777 is longer than the rest, like a footlong hot dog....but without having a side-by-side comparison, they all look the same to me. A340 looks just like them too lol I guess I just need to spend more time watching.
Generally the differences among the three are pretty clear to me, but that's only because I've been watching planes take off and land for quite some time! Some tips: 777 -- huge engines (esp. on the 777-200LR and 777-300ER models), and the tailcone is sort of flat, rather than rounded for the 767. 787 -- the back of the engine nacelle/covering is sort of tooth-like. The nose is very distinctive too. I think once you see it enough it will really start to stand out. The A340 is the only Airbus/Boeing plane in wide commercial service with four engines but only one level (instead of 2 for the A380 and 747) -- so it's pretty easy to distinguish. The A330's nose helps me tell it apart from the Boeing widebodies. Happy spotting!
KBurchfiel Cool plane spotting man! brought back memories from working at LAX! you also have a powerful camera, what camera model do you use if i may ask? oh, another difference i noticed on the Triple7s are the 3 tires on the main landing gears...well, thats i can tell the difference and of course the bigger engines......A+A+A+ Thank you
Why would they have a circumcision paint job on the plane at 14:52 ? All the other planes are normal and Uncircumcised. Everyone knows that it feels much better with an Uncircumcised plane. There much more sensitivity and feeling and much less numbness with an Uncircumcised plane.
There's a great spot next to LAX called Imperial Hill, where you have the most perfect angle for catching take offs and landings. On any given day, you'll have company there. It's awesome!
You should try to understand that why business model is not suitable for A380 . Seems like you don't know much about aviation business. AMERICAN CARRIERS operates from several American cities to many destination . They need smaller planes so they can book them quickly and leave . Smaller planes allow them to schedule multiple flights at different time slots in a day for same destination . Most of the countries have only one major international airports but In the US American carriers depart from 15 Airports for several different international destinations .
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thank you jeff
I used to watch from that hill for many and hour back in the 90's. No A380's then but plenty of 747's. Hate to see those giants being retired.

Don Ceballos Why didn't I become a pilot? I guess my stars just didn't line up during my early years of adulthood.

Wow, that MD-11 at 21:35 was freaking skyrocketing out of there!
Classic md11 takeoff
And a300
Guess who's back roaming TH-cam, LIKE-slapping, watchin' and enjoyin'
absolutely flawless video. LAX is a wonderful place to spot. thank you for your hard work
Haha, the video certainly has its flaws, but I guess that's OK! And it wasn't work, it was play ;-)
That FedEx Md-11 (Towards the end) was testing the tie down straps in the back....dam he was about to go vertical! Nice Video!
Love watching the big boys take off. Nice footage.
Amazing footage! These are some of my favorite airplanes, these are truly beauties! Thanks for sharing.

The editing is tight, and the planes are great. It just is a pity that there still is no cure for Parkinsons
Now that is a lot of work. Thanks for the effort. Very nice video. Love the triple triple 7s!!!
awesome work!!! im from canada and you dont see those size of planes taking off here
Hi from Scotland, very nice, will need to visit here.......Subscribed
Yet another EPIC! Great on-screen detail as well.

Best spotting at klax video ever !!! Thanks for sharing
is there anything, besides thunder, louder than a jet engine? incredible sounding machines!!
Best spotting at Klax video ever!! Thanks for sharing
Also, planespotting at nearby In n Out is great.
Burger and a widebody!

Even I too Lyk this Fight (Lovely)
Great video but perhaps consider investing in a fluid head tripod which will eliminate the camera shake.
good camera and good lens what type of camera and lens was used to make the video
Incredible! Keep up the great work!
Fantastic video, great work by the way!!!

I was surprised to see that U.S. carriers still use wide-body jets on mid-haul flights within the U.S. (i.e. LAX to JFK)
+Are Gomez Usually the 767 are the largest aircraft they'll use within the continental US, but I think I saw him label an American 777 going to Miami which was shocking.
nice!! Where is the best place to capture pictures at LAX?
Excellent footage.

Nice take off of the United dreamliner :)
awesome video, just make the captions longer next time :)
Are those A343's look like A340'S is there a difference, I know my planes and all, but is there a difference?
B787s are much more quiet compared to the rest.

Love all of this!!
Great video, but try as I can, I cannot find an A-388 anywhere! And at 14.00 a B748?
+tony3461 I'm guessing that "A-388" = Airbus A380-800 and "B748" = Boeing 747-800. Took me a couple of minutes to figure that out too...
Feeling a bit queasy coz the camera is moving so much -otherwise great vid
The 773 are amazing to watch wheels up..747 too
appears all the A340s in the world, hang around in LAX
:P
An 11 minute flight from LAX to BUR via FedEx. How high would they climb?
Looks like only 5,000 feet.
flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX1742/history/20150115/1341Z/KLAX/KBUR
superman7830 Its a climb and descend. no more than 4000ft and a go around the valley. No biggie!
Great video! Subbed
excellente spotting
ELLENT VIDEO !!!!!!
I thought Lufthansa would be flying the A380 and 747-8 to LAX.
7:44 is indeed Turkish B777-300ER.
Que bonito sería ver el tiempo de vuelo!!
It’s even cooler when you build these machines #BoeingPNW

You never see Delta B 747s landing in the UK or Ireland
Wow so many A340s
I wish a345s still came in
A380 first takeoff yiu know that. That one is the biggest of all of the 380
+Javi Cervantes the ugliest as well !
Weird that none of the American carriers have an A380.

Why do some airplanes go out that white thing from their wings?
+MAX BONETT Do you mean the winglets and wingtip fences? They reduce drag and increase lift.
Not exactly. I'm talking about that white thing that sometimes spread from the wings
Oh, those are wingtip vortices. They sometimes condense (if it's humid I guess) so you can see them. Wikipedia has a good page on them.
It's the vapor
MAX BONETT
