Chrysanthemum leaves
Chrysanthemum leaves grow quite sparse and arranged in spirals on the stem. Leaves are usually flat or slightly inclined. The leaves are smaller at the base and grow larger towards the tip.
Depending on the living conditions, the characteristics of chrysanthemum leaves are different. In a well-nourished environment, the leaves grow large, soft with thick, glossy green leaves. If deficient, chrysanthemum leaves are small, hard and thin with a light green or yellow color.
Flower part
Chrysanthemums grow in clusters with many stemless flowers that grow very close together. Outside the flower there are wicks that grow in a circle. Because the small flowers are arranged very closely, the whole cluster looks almost like a flower.
This flower is both unisexual and sexual. There are many different types, so the characteristics of flowers vary in color and size. The flowers grow quite thickly from single or compound axils. Chrysanthemums can only pollinate other flowers, even if they have hermaphrodites.
After the flower fades, a chrysanthemum will grow. The fruit is quite small, 2-3mm long with a width of 0.7-1.5mm, usually needle, stick or long round.
