    Cocaine absolutely destroyed Drummie and his voice. He was such a good youth man and had such an amazing voice.

    Respectively speaking... Drummie zeb ( RIP ) should never have been the front man for Aswad. That was Brinsleys role from day one. The band became weak When Brinsley left for whatever reason. He is still working as a solo artist, but ( to me ) th vibe aint th same no matter how he hearticaly tries. Imagine if Bob marley had left the wailers... Brinsley.. if yr reading this, link up with Tony Gad ( th band bass player ) and RE- LAUNCH ASWAD iya. I'm sure it will be 100% successful.

    • @lawrencenjawe9875
      @lawrencenjawe9875 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had read somewhere that Brinsley Forde left Aswad in the late 90s for "spiritual reasons"... That sounded a bit vague in my opinion. I'd be pleased if you can fill me in more on this......If you may.

    • @fabriciotonelli5396
      @fabriciotonelli5396 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Brinsley left aswad because of MONEY. And he doesnt have a good relation with Toni Gad
      And yes, Drummie is a far better vocalist than Brinsley.

    • @antonyford6225
      @antonyford6225 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@fabriciotonelli5396 I honestly dont know the reasons why he left. Maybe you are somehow privy to information on that. There are some songs that suited Drummie more..... and others that suited Brinsley. For instance, African children , not satisfied, zion , candles , SHINE ... ie the more ROOTS REGGAE Rasta vibe.. definetly Brinsley... ! those songs ARE ASWAD ! The ( more commercial ) love song style is/ was Drummie. Sorry to hear that the relationship with Tony ( bassy ) Gad isnt good .. if the two of them could put that aside ' then great things can happen.

    • @marleyite
      @marleyite ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Antony Ford: Could you realistically see Brinsley returning to Aswad after departing such a long time ago, No, me neither.
      I guess to most Aswad followers, myself included, there’s no Aswad without Brinsley or Drummie Zeb.

    • @antonyford6225
      @antonyford6225 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@marleyite Hmm.. Drummie / Brinsley and Tony Gad ! Main 3 . Brinsley was the most experienced even from his childhood days on double deckers professional wise..it was he who formed the band. So on the strength of the aforementioned i think as a leader/ founder he could relaunch Aswad ( with T Gad ) and another drummer...
