I love Blackpink but we cannot compare them. BTS is by far on another level. They broke barriers for artists like Blackpink, BTS is the standard.
Sorry but BP doesn't even come close. Bts are living legends, not just in Kpop but worldwide. We have all the facts, numbers, awards, songs, charity, content outside music, talents and people to prove it. I'm not even exaggerating it. They are the best at everything that they do. Bts write, produce, dance, rap, sing, act and even direct their own music videos. Their artistry as individuals and as a group are on another level. More importantly, they saved and changed millions of lives around the world. No other groups can replicate their success, artisty and sincerity. BTS are 7 complete artists, composers, writers and producers with very different styles, hence their musical versatility.
They have hundreds of songs, they do hip hop, r&b, balad, latin pop etc.
His lyrics and videos have a lot of meaning, they deal with social problems, mental health, etc.
Butter is one of the songs in English that they released in the pandemic just to convey a little joy to ARMY (their fandom).
BTS got two grammy nominations, BTS has 6 songs got no 1 on Billboard 100, and also won multi time Billboard awards since 2017..so don't ever compare BTS with that group..

BTS is different from BP. Hell-- they're different than most Korean Groups and western artists now. I won't comment much about BP but the reason why BTS is a very rare type of artist/group is because of their core, work ethic, and history of rise to fame. Since the start of their career they have made telling their own stories, struggles, amplifying unheard voices, and spreading the message of hope and positivity their whole mission. They've written and produce those songs themselves. They flip over a company in a brink of bankruptcy to one of the biggest-- if not, the biggest music company there. Not just the core message in their music that are different, but BTS and BP self-branding are very different too. BTS focuses on music more than anyone. Music is their purpose, their reasoning, and their love. Proven by the fact that even though the pressure from the music industry pushed them to the edge, they still want to make music. They are good human beings that takes their work seriously, making sure every songs, albums, and performance are to a certain standard to not leave any regret for them, but also for the fans. They are what you call a true professional. A true artist. :)

By the way just to clear it up I am a 65-year-old man living in the town of Montrose in the state of Colorado in the country of the United States just below Canada and above Mexico on the North American continent.
This is one of their pop songs but they do a lot of different genres like hip hop, rnb, latin pop, and many others!
Also all 7 members are involved in the production and most of the writings of the songs!
They debuted as a group in 2013 and they faced a lot to get were they're today coming from a really humble background! They're incredible human beings, never seen any artist as kind and pure as them! They're also really funny when they're together, they're like family and have their on variety shows were they do stuff like playing games and vlog of vacations!

Now you hit another sore spot BTS L debuted in 2013 Dave released over 300 songs and around 20 albums in nine years. Blackpink debuted in 2016 and do not have one album release until 2020 and only had 15 songs. I guess now in 2022 they've released a second album. But black pink it's owned and controlled by one of the big three former big three music labels in Korea. As is common in K pop black page most likely does not write their own songs does not compose or produce their own music the songs are shoved down their throats by the company. If a standard contract lasts seven years black pink only has about 10 more months left of their contract! No their company might force them into another seven years or they might decide to turn tail and run. The difference is black pink turned tails and runs from their label they'll be starting over from scratch because the company owns all their music owns everything they release! From the very beginning it was agreed and confirmed that BTS had full autonomy within their company which was going bankrupt at the time! Yes, big hit entertainment was going bankrupt! Presently HYBE labels corporation formerly known as big hit entertainment owns 8 entertainment companies and music labels! Six music labels in Korea one in Japan and one in the United States. Each member of BTS was given shares in the corporation but when they signed their second contract for another seven years this happened in 2018. BTS owns part of their labels 8 labels actually it has ownership of their music their variety shows they're fictional storyline their web tools their music videos they're video games they're novels! BTS has done collaborations with numerous western artists from England Canada and the United States! They've also done numerous collaborations with Korean artists! I do not see a black, pink BTS collab coming to anytime soon most likely because HYBE labels corporation doesn't like the way the black pink is treated by their label. BTS's contract for their multimillion-dollar luxury apartment in Seoul South Korea which the company was providing to them expired. They had to move out of the apartment but of course all seven members own $1,000,000 luxury apartments of their own. they've owned these luxury apartments for the last four or five years. for vacation time with family and friends.
i come across a video while searching for BTS reactions to watch. the video is about the unsafe apartment and dormitory conditions K pop idols are forced to live in by their companies! Yes I did mention the fact that HYBE labels owns a company in United States!

black pink are barely selling out 15k arenas internationally, but their company is very good at media play to make people think they are much bigger. ( they are even paying YT reactors to hype them up, it is very easy to spot LOL)
BTS on the other hand has sold 240k tickets over 4 stadium shows in Vegas this April. Sold out in pre-sale , they were not even put to sale to general public :-)

Blackpink are ok, not my cup of tea, catchy dance music without much substance and the girls don´t contribute to their music at all. Most of it is written by a racist 40 y o man, so when they sing how they are not like other girls and how bad b*tch they are it´s kind of awkward to me IDK. All their songs are rinse and repeat.
BTS are quite literaly the biggest group(not just kpop) in the world, going by sales, streams and fan engagement. Their discography is expansive, they have fun songs like Butter, catchy dance tune for summer to lift up the mood like Dynamite, but hey also have super hard hitting rap songs (UGH, Cyphers) and some of their lyrics are very deep(Shadow, Trivia Love, Black Swan Baepsae) There are whole explanation videos / twitter threads done by very smart people, fluent in both korean and english trying to explain the nuances. Literary references, psychological concepts etc, are very common in their lyrics. The 3 rappers are the main lyricists .

BP just performs the songs written and prooduced for them. BTS are all songwriters, composers and producers and are all members of Korean Music Copyright Association. They have won 700 awards since 2015 and have outperformed any other Western counterparts in terms of music sales and live performances. Getting a BTS concert ticket is like Hunger Games. If not because of discrimination, prejudices and xenophobia, BTS would have won the GRAMMY two years in a row. They have broken records set by the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Adele and others. A lot of western boy bands who disbanded tried to come back to dethrone BTS but they all did not succeed. 1. BP are juniors than BTS. BTS are in industry since 2013, Bp is in industry since 2015.
2. BTS makes their own music since debut, whereas Bp rarely writes any.
3. BTS are biggest Group in the world, most awarded group in the world.

5. BTS has one of the most appreciated vocal lines, best rapline, one of the best dance lines in kpop. Bp are good but aren't one of the best in any, but I respect them, Jisoo's my bias

Black Pink and BTS have emerged along entirely different trajectories and actually are much more dissimilar than a lot of newbies to K Pop realize. I cannot envision a collaboration of the two adding any significant artistic value to either group unless creativity is strictly measured in dollars earned from the project. I believe each group has its own integrity. Both for their own reasons have collaborated with Western artists which for the most part has had good results. However, in my mind Western fantasy conjoining of Korean groups feels more like a boxing based on ethnicity than a pairing of compatible artistries.

Thanks for the reaction! :) BTS are the biggest band in the world for good reason. They excel at writing lyrics, producing, performing and of course all the aspects of that, like rapping, singing, and dancing. Songs like Butter are actually quite different from their normal sound, though they experiment with many genres! They’re practically a genre of their own at this point, lol. Put some respect on BTS name
Putting BP on the same level as BTS, humiliates the guys as people of the art. How can a group that sings and dances to songs handed to them be compared with a group of artists like BTS? Impossible. BP is an average group. Manufactured and a brand dealer rather than an artist that loves their art.
There are 3 big companies in the K-pop industry which are YG, SM and JYP entertainment. We call them "the big3". Basically if you debut from these companies, you're likely to have everything easier from groups who don't come from this big3. You'll already have fans even before your debut, you'll have the hype, and you'll have media on your side because the big3 is controlling the media and influence in South Korea. Blackpink is one of the groups that come from the big3 which is YG. While BTS had to work their asses off to be where they're today because they were underdogs and not to mention how this big3 used to and still shitting on BTS and tried and still try to sabotage BTS because they couldn't believe a group from a small company is this successful.

Comparing BP and BTS is like comparing Mickel Jackson and little mix. Bts are legends. Rapping and singing is very common in kpop it's not like only bts and BP do that. Most kpop groups have people in different positions like, vocal ,rap etc. Bts has three rappers and 4 vocalist
One thing is that They aren't just kpop idols. They are artists.
They are very involved in their music as in writing producing and composing. The subjects they touch on are inspired by writers and thinkers and even psychologist .

Songs like butter, dynamite, PTD are their English song and they are really good and catchy .had lots of success and broke records but often people underestimate their potential and talent by just those few pop songs that got so big . I bet you've heard dynamite without even knowing. Bts has over 300 songs so their discography is very diverse. Please never compare BTS to BP, I'll give you a few reasons why.
1. BTS debuted in 2013 with a company that was barely hanging on, almost bankrupt and they built that company with their blood sweat and tears. They had no media advantage, no one was on their side but ARMYS while BP had YG and they media played their debut success.
2. BTS write their own songs, the guys are always fully involved in the production and management of their music, they always come live to tell us the inspiration behind lyrics, concept or Music Videos while some groups depend on TEDDY OPPA to write songs for them, heck they can't even explain the process behind making a single beat, they're obviously in for the money.
3. BTS sold out 2 nights at the Wembley Stadium in 120mins six years into their career while BP are still struggling to fill 30K arenas also six years into their career.
4. BTS have ARMYS, THEY DON'T.
You guys realy need to dig into bts they r not just a boy group nd check out the BTS contribution to the music ,introduction to bts by xceleste nd plz dnt compare to bts to bp cz u will know if u go deeper💜

Thanks! Look forward to more reactions. FYI (not mad, just educating you) An unwritten rule in Kpop fan culture is we don't compare groups to one another, out of respect for everyone. We don't watch MVs and then spend a bunch of time talking about other singers/groups. Not only for respect, but comparing brings out the toxic fans. Nobody wants to be poisoned by their craziness. Focus on the topic for a clean comment section. Along the same lines, we don't compare members to each other. This will bring out even crazier fans called solo stans. They are SUPER toxic.
BTS will not colab with BP because they are in different labels. YG is the label for blackpink he does not let his artist even interact with most of the artists in his own company and never with outside groups. SO that JUST IS NOT EVER GOING TO HAPPEN.. Keep your feet grounded in reality.

Like many kpop groups havent make any consert in big stadiums only arenas or halls. Just that tells allready a lot..
