  • During a matchup between the Kansas City Royals and the Arizona Diamondbacks in Arizona, pitcher Zac Gallen of the D-backs threw an 83 MPH cutter/changeup and Royals Pasquantino missed the pitch but so did the catcher. The pitch would end up hitting the bottom of the umpires mask, protecting the pitch from hitting his throat and deflecting off his upper chest. Jimenez would stay in the game after evaluations cleared him.

It was the pitchers fault if any, he slipped a changeup and it moved like a knuckle change, that pitch isn’t on statcast or anything.
