Awesome stuff, Evan! Loved the arctic snowshoe followed by the “warm up” in the sugar shack! I’ve been putting that syrup on everything. It’s become the thing that makes me smile the most in my overnight oats. About to receive a shipment of pancake mix made from popcorn.😯 You know y’alls syrup is going on top! Bravo!
Love it, Jonathan!! So happy you are enjoying it. It makes our hearts smile knowing other people are getting joy from our maple syrup. I hope that syrup lasts you longer than it does us 😅 we practically drink it over here.
I find this so fascinating. I visited a sugar shack in Quebec once but didn’t get such a detailed explanation of how it all works. Thanks for sharing. Have you done this before or are you learning as you go?
Glad you enjoyed it! I am completely self taught, this is our first year doing it and everything I'm doing I have learned off TH-cam. It's really a great resource! 😅
How's she goin'? Pretty cold weather eh. Not normally an issue if you're prepared for it but still nothing to be taken lightly. I really like your sugar shack. The RO system looks pretty nice too. That'll save you a lot of wood. It'll be interesting to see how well it works for you. Good luck with your season. I won't be doing sap this year, too much other stuff going on right now. Take care!!
Thanks Grampie!! We've been hard at work here with maple production the last few weeks. Too bad you won't be doing it this year, but I understand there's a lot going on with the cleanup. Maybe next year. Take care!
Nice walk in the winter!
Also, I like your sugar house set up.
Thanks we've been working hard at it!

It looks even better now, can't wait to share our updated sugar shack soon!!
I would have a backup heat system in there so once my RO goes live it will never Freeze.

I've been keeping the space heater in there running constantly!

Great editing in this video! Evan, you'll love those MSRs. A burly shoe.
They are great!! I've only taken them out like twice this winter, its pathetic 🙄 but in those few times I already love them way more than my Tubbs
