I am Sarawakian, and if you ever go to Sarawak during harvest festival I can guarantee you that there are always foods for guests even though they didn't know you or they can't understand you.
every Malaysian is like every American grandmother lmao "omg you must be hungry, eat more!!" it's in our religion to treat our guests well, and it becomes a part of our culture so it doesn't matter what religion you practice, guests are precious.
The reason why Malaysians are so loving and accepting is because Malaysia is a diverse country with different ethnicities, races and religions. We love and support each and every single person here 💖
Even if you don't pay back the money we consider it a sedekah mean charity. Malaysia is the only country in the world where multi races can practice their religion freely and live in peace and harmony.
