The problem I face with murlocs is that I find them difficult to set up during mid game and often die trying to find the cards before getting strong enough to survive. Any tip on that regard? Thank you for the video, keep up the good work!
You don't force them mid game unless you land a bream early. Same for all other comps. Be strong with what you are given, and transition when enabled.
Why don't you nerf murlocs?

It's interesting because in constructed Rogue and Druid are often out of control, and neither of these classes run Murlocs.

They did nerf murlocs by making the tier 6 only give +10 now whereas before every battle cry triggers increases it
@@tsundude4320 it made mostly the murke-eye&murky combo ineffective. Murloks are still busted

Man I am beginner in battlegrounds, and mechs is best to use for me (second maybe dragons and quilboard), i simply can not play with murlocs, i tried it but everytime i am beated. Have you some quide video for beginners how to play with particular spiecies?
Another big thing I’ve noticed between seasons is battlecry vs deathrattle metas and how much more high roll battlecry metas are
BCs have no counter play which is why Titus even got a buff during his non-UD reword. Brann always breaks the tribes that can more easily leverage battlecries. He broke standard when he was back in as well. Blizzard will never get rid of Brann because he's fun to use but he limits the power of battlecries. Friend of a Friend was a very fun card but got removed from the game because of how busted it was with Brann. In reality they should have changed it so it gave you a buddy when you sold the card.
I miss menagerie being a reasonable comp. Bring back lightfang but make her give +30/+30.
T5 +2/+3 and make her a 6/6

Usually when I play pirates I just try to switch to murlocs.

I never do well with murlocs even when I get brann, murk-eye and the discover murloc. it seems it takes me too long to get online and the beast combo outscales me before I can get it rolling
You shouldn't even be considering Murlocs unless you get at least a Bream Counter and Bassgill or the T3 summon minion. Just a sidenote, Bran is nice to have, but the others are way more important.
Sort of tangential but I just had a game at 8k MMR my 6th place turn 11 board was Scally, Rapscallion, 200 HP Eliza, divine shield Eliza, Triple divine shield Baron, Triple Phaerix, taunted Scally. Kinda makes me lose faith in that pirate comp. (Lost to Turbulent Tombs Undead, also with a triple Phaerix.. maybe I could have played down a minion to make the fight closer, it would have had to have been an Eliza, just got beat on number of attacks basically, his undead all had 70 attack)

I had a first place deep blue evil twin win the day before this video was uploaded, its a real build COPIUM
I was very confused until I realized that this is about high MMR meta - cause in my cozy 7k rating bracket, probably 70% of my 1st places are with Undead and Mechs - I just love to play them with double deathrattle quest or this tumbleweed "summoned units get bigger" avenge quest.
But, this IS a quest meta in all MMR brackets, right? Seems to me that most stat giving Hero powers have so little impact these days, it's absurd. Good thing theres the change hero power spell.
most stat giving hero powers give an increase in armor, making them the highest tier heroes this meta. You want to use the armor to complete your quests faster as most quest have much more impact than hero powers anyways. Like you said, you can also change your hero power later on in the game but those stat giving heroes are the strongest heroes right now

Btw. are there any rules how quests' progress and reward are paired, is this totally random or at least similar for everyone in a given lobby? Feels like sometimes a quest reads like "in two turns you get this" while other times it's more like "you'll get this if you survive till top 4 when it's way too late". And I feel like taking the easiest quest would probably be best, but often also boring.
i mean tierlist is good, but at the end of the day highroll is highroll
@@Knokkelmanhigher armor heroes get easier quests. Different quest rewards have different difficulty levels. But it's always situational, depending on your turn 1-4 shops and board
8K+ is considered high MMR--point is all of Jeef's endgames typically have a faceoff with 400hp minions -- and mechs and undead usually can't scale that high as Murlocs, Dragons, and Elementals unless you have the double deathrattle quest

beasts are impossible to pull off each time. you have to be on tav 6 early and hope you find all the 5s and 6s to even do it.

Jeef, one big thing you didn’t talk about in this video is the number of quests that work well with each tribe. For example, you talked about tombs is good with undead and beasts. But beasts are way better with double header when compared to undead because u need to hit scaling early with undead for it to work.

People need to stop magnetizing on to random mechs. The trick is magnetize onto another NON-GOLDEN magnetize minion you've played raw on board. Why? The purpose is to triple it, and then you repeat the process - Apply it to a new non-golden, raw magnetize minion.
If you got a single beatboxer down, you will end up doubling down on every magnetize you did. Repeating this process will quickly get you into the thousands and scale gold generation to basicly infinite.

Mummifier and scarab aren't the only way to reborn the phalanx though. The tier5 dude that gives mecha-demons from avenges can give the reborn demon as well.
True, but he is Avenge 4 and you still get 1 in 3 chances to get the Reborn demon.

This seems accurate even at 5.5K rating, it's exactly what happens with every comp with beasts looking op but not getting first place and murloc being kinda on the op side.
Really wish you wouldn’t use shorthand names and words when explaining things. Makes it hard for a newer player to follow.
