Nice bike. I had 3 of them, RZ 500 Canadian versions. Raced them, crashed them, fixed them. The only deficiencies I can sight are that they were a little heavy, and the 16 inch front wheel was a compromise. The front brake was mushy and the front fork anti dive was a gimmick. Other wise, a great, sturdy bike. I had a challenge racing against the 500 Gamma Suzuki in the 600 production class. The Gamma was lighter and quicker. Their square 4 had guillotine valves and an aluminum frame. No regrets. I'm glad I survived.
My neighbour in the UK had an identical RD500 for many years - he never road it and it just sat in his garage looking like it was doing 100mph 😁 Better wrap it up safely as a storm is heading to Nederland tomorrow (according to UK weather forecasters). I love your videos 👍👍👍👍
I’m so jealous guys - always wanted an RD500 but could never afford one - some things never change 😆 Thanks for bringing some stunning bikes to wet our appetites for that essence of 2-stroke 😎

Aah the smoke❤
RD steal frame ..RZ alloy frame
The Japanese model also had an alloy frame. It was also designated RD. Absolutely hate the RZ moniker.
@Jungleland33 why do you hate RZ
Old Smokie.

Tacho doesn't work. Wonder what else doesn't work in this 'full restoration'?
😕
It works
@@vintage-motorcycles It works even though the needle doesn't move? That's fascinating!
@@ANationalAcrobat-qj2dlyes.. apparantly you don’t know
@@vintage-motorcycles Well; it's the first working rev counter I've ever seen that has a fixed, static needle!!!!
Best regards

:-o Hi guys ! The RPM-Meter does not work ;-) ... !
