    Love the sparse and lonely sound of just the banjo and your voice without a backing track. It's beyond perfect.

    Going baritone. Sounds great.
    That could be used in a motion picture or TV special.
    Beautiful!

    Magnifique !

    Heard David eugene Edwards version and chased this lesson down. Really love your version.
    So clear and concise. Need to try this.
    Thank you so much, will visit your site.

    I Like the huge and warm vocals 😊

      Well, they are huge anyway, complete with reverb. But it's good though.

    Hits a purdy en. I can't read a lick of tablature, maybe I can scratch out a few lines and figure it from there. Thanks for the music.

    Just the right amount of reverb.

    Perfect playing and singing! Love to learn your version of this song. Sorry to say: the link to the tabs does not work.

    Really enjoying learning through your videos. I'm thinking of subscribing to the clawhammer method for a few months or so.
    On the tab there are notes in brackets like (5) how are these played...? Doesn't look like a tie, slide, or hammer on... 🤔

    Can’t wait to work on this tune! Which Cedar Mountain Banjo are you playing here?

    Your videos are incredible, thank you! I can’t figure out what you’re doing at the 0:11-0:12 second mark. It doesn’t seem to match up with the tab you provide. Sounds like some kind of quick pull-off and pause, but the tab just shows you striking 4th fret on 2nd string followed by striking open 3rd string.

    Can I ask how you recorded this? Did you play and sing simultaneously into separate mics ? Or just use one to capture everything...?

    Great video, Sir! :) I see you're singing and playing a banjo with a frosted (?) head and not a renaissance head.
    I really want to buy a banjo these days to accompany my singing and take a refreshing break from guitar. Budget-wise, I'm thinking about a Deering Goodtime or a Goodtime Americana. Do you think I can sing over both?

    • @lordbuddybear
      @lordbuddybear 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or to specify: I heard, that the Americana is good for singing and clawhammer, but I wonder if a standard 11'' banjo like the Goodtime isn't better for a beginner like me. Would love to hear your advice and am looking forward to hearing your songs of the week :)

      @ClawhammerBanjo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Either of those banjos would be great for singing and playing clawhammer. My first banjo was a regular Goodtime!
