- Today I'm showing you a cheaper way from Charleroi "Brussels South" (lol) airport to Brussels city. Hope you find it useful. Bla Bla Car is also useful as well as the method I show you in this video
Thanks dude. With your advice I saved about 100 euros. I did trips for two people from Charleroi Airport to Brussels. From Brussels to Bruges and back and to Luxembourg and Charleroi Airport. Small update. The multi ticket now costs €93, but it's still an excellent deal and much better than Flibco.
Glad it worked out well for you! I was sick of flibco ripping people off and that's why I made this video!
Hello! Sorry for the stupid question, I know you are not some information centre :D but would you please confirm: do I understand you correctly and I can use for one of the multi tickets the train AND the bus? Or do I have to buy to the multi ticket an extra 6EUR ticket for the A bus from Charleroi Airport to Charleroi Sud? Thanks if you can help.
Multi ticket includes the bus!
Hi, I'm traveling to Charleroi soon, and this will be my first time there. My flight lands at 17:35, and the TEC bus leaves at 18:00. Is this enough time to make it on the bus? Also, if I buy my ticket for a specific time in the app, is it also valid for the next bus if I don't make it in time?
Another thing, I have to catch a train to from Charleroi Central to Antwerpen at 18:53, and if I go by bus at 18:30, I probably won't make it. Do you think it would be better to take a TEC bus 68, that leaves at 18:24, or get a taxi?
Hi Andrea, I would stick with the buses. You should be able to use any bus or train so no rush.
As for landing and then taking the train, it depends on whether you're flying within Schengen or not as you would need to clear Belgian customs if coming from outside. Also depends whether you have checked luggage or not. If you do, I reckon you would miss that bus but no worries, just take the next one. There should also be a later train to Antwerpen
Just to clarify, the ticket SNCB Multi includes the TEC bus journey as well from Charleroi airport to train station, or do I have to buy a separate bus ticket for €6? Thanks.
Includes the Tec bus!
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Thank you.
No problem, happy to help
Hello :) I would like to know if I can use the multi ticket for multiple destinations. For example, in the app, if I buy the multi ticket and I want to go from the airport to center and another day departure from center to Bruges is it possible with the same multi ticket?
Yes exactly, that's one of the great things about this ticket! You'll also save money travelling around Belgium, and more than one person can travel using the multi at the same time
Thanks for the quick response and for the video it's so useful!
You're welcome, have fun travelling Belgium!
Hello Antonio! Thank you for your video. I'd appreciate your help please! we'll (2 people) stay in Brussels for 3 days. Our flight's return is in Charleroi, so we need need a transport since Brussels (downtown) to the airport, furthermore, saving money for local transport. What do you recommend in this case? I saw "LOCAL MULTI", "YOUTH MULTI" and "STANDARD MULTI", all include the ticket to the airport?
Hiya, they will be separate companies I'm afraid. If I were you, I would buy a local multi from Mvib for local transport to Brussels, and try to find a blabla car to the airport
Hello, google maps show me that from Charleroi airport I can use the bus A3 to the city Luttre and there I can catch the train to Brussels. Do you know if I can use the cheaper multi ticket for this journey too? Or is it possible only for the bus A to Charleroi south and the train to Brussels?
No, it's only for bus a
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Okay, thank you very much!
Thinking of doing brugge antwerp brussels over 4 days. Where would you go first and would you just do brussels on the way back?
A day in each is fine I would say, maybe two for Brussels. I would probably do Brugge first, stay overnight then do a day in Antwerp and then sleep two nights in Brussels
Hello,
By using SNCB app and activating those 10 trips ticket, are you allowed to combine multiple public transport means to get to your destination? (bus, train, etc)? And also, can two persons share the same 10 trips ticket? Thanks in advance
You can only combine the ticket with the bus for getting to Charleroi airport, as the airport doesn't have a train station. And yes, you can share the tickets
awesome, thanks a lot
No worries mate. Have a good weekend!
@@helloantoniotraveladventures I wish you the same
Hello. If I bought two Brupass 1 Journey for 2,40 euros each and took a bus to Charleroi and from there took a train to brussels midi would that work? can I use that ticket for this journey?
No you can't, it's only for use in Brussels
Hello, I wanted to know if the multi ticket could be used by more than 1 person? Thanks for the video
Yes it can, another of the great things about this ticket!
@@helloantoniotraveladventures That's perfect. Thank you so much for the information
No problem at all, helping fellow travellers is what this channel is all about
Hello! Thank you for the info! Is it possible to buy the ticket for A1 on the spot? If yes how much is it separately?
I think so, it's around five or six euro
Hi bro..can you advise if i purchase brupass single journey 2.5 euro ticket which is valid for 60 min with multiple transfer is valid for airport tec bus as well towards charleroi central station and then from central station to brussel midi?? Pls reply asap😅
No, it's not valid for either of those
Hello, after watching your video I purchased the ten trip multi ticket (now €93)on the app, I activated 4 tickets from Charleroi airport to Oostende. The bus TEC bus driver refused to accept saying it’s only for the train. On the train the conductor told me they are valid on the bus, so I emailed SNCB to request a refund, who sided with the bus driver saying the ticket was NOT valid on the bus. So anyone know for certain?
Well that's rubbish of them! Maybe i got away with it a lot during covid... Did the ticket say charleroi airport or charleroi central? That might be your problem
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Charleroi airport. I made sure! I’ve made the journey several times over the years, always paid the €6 fare and purchased a paper multi ticket. So when I saw this video I was well pleased thinking I could save the fare. On the way back to the airport the driver was fine & accepted the ticket. Crazy!
🤷🏼♂️ Belgium hope you have more luck with it in future!
Hello from which app did you buy your ticket?
Sncb
Hi approximatley how long did it take you to go from Charleroi to Brussels?
Hey, the train ride is about 50-55 minutes. Thanks for watching!
Hello, did you get on the bus at charleroi south? Or did you catch another bus there and then this one to brussels midi?
Hi Ana, to get to the airport this way take a train from anywhere in Belgium to Charleroi Sud, and then take TEC bus A to the airport. In the opposite direction, take the TEC bus A to Charleroi Sud and then a train from there on to your destination
hi sir where did you get the bus ticket from and train ticket? do you remember?
Both on the sncb app
Hello , wich app should i use to get the ticket for the bus ?
SNCB, Belgian trains app
Hello dude! Thanks in advance for the help. What would be the best easiest way for me to go from the charleroi airport to Brussels if Im arriving with airplane around 11am?
Bla bla car is a good, cheap option. But the bus I say to avoid in this video is probably the most convenient! It's just a rip off though. I paid €20 one way last time!
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Its too much!! Thabk you!!
I know right!? Try bla bla car or the ten trip train ticket like I explain in the video
Hello, could you share which application you are using for the ticket booking?
And one more thing, the bus from the airport stops at the main train station, right?
SNCB app. TEC bus A will take you to Charleroi Sud, the main station in Charleroi. Change there for your train
Thank you so much for the information, I will be taking a train from Antwerp to Charleroi and then to the airport but wasn’t quite sure how this whole journey would happen
You're welcome! There should be a direct train from Antwerp to Charleroi Sud you can take, and then just hop on bus A. Make sure you buy the train ticket to Charleroi airport, and not just Charleroi Sud
Hey, If I book a ticket from Antwerp to Charleroi station (youth ticket, bcz I’m below 26) and then separately buy a bus ticket for the airport, wouldn’t be a cheaper option?
The train would cost 6,60€ and then 6€ the bus. Rather than straight to the airport, it would cost me 21,1€
You should be able to buy a ticket to Charleroi Airport, which includes the bus from Charleroi Zuid to the airport, for just €6.60. Have a look here www.belgiantrain.be/en/tickets-and-railcards/gopass1?
Hi!
I'd like to ask, if I buy this "Youth Multi" ticket in the application, can I use it for 2 people? (We are under 26) Is it also okay for the bus from the airport to the Charleroi train station? And how can I validate it for 2 people (if it is possible to use it for 2 people)?
Thank you for your answer!😁
Hi Máté! Yes you can use it between two of you and for the bus. Just activate two of the tickets when you get on board and show the driver. Have a nice trip!
@@helloantoniotraveladventuresThank you very much for your fast reply!! Is it also possible with this ticket to travel to Brugge from Brussel?
@matelabanc1851 absolutely!
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Thanks a lot, your video is really helpful!
@matelabanc1851 glad to hear it, I aim to be of service!
Hey man. Is it Charleroi Central or Sud station? Also where do you buy the TEC bus tickets?
Also where are the bus stands from the airport?
It used to be called charleroi sud. Notre Charleroi central
Outside the terminal, turn left when you come out
Thanks man. Going to take this route over Flibco when I arrive. I heard there can sometimes be very long queues for the Flibco so it may end up being quicker
Yes it can be, especially if you're going somewhere else in the city as trains also stop at Brussels central and Brussels north
hi! im in brussels right now. ive watched your videos but i couldnt see how to go to the airport from brussels. could you explain it real quick? im a broke student so i dont wanna buy a flibco☠️
Absolutely! Buy a train ticket to Charleroi airport, take the train to Charleroi central and then the a bus to the airport
You could also look for bla bla car
I'd rather walk to Jumet Madeleine and get the 8 euro ticket for the WHOLE of Wallonia (There are day flights from Manchester (Early flight there and latest flight back), already got one booked) and visit Charleroi and many other places like Namur, Brussels, etc. I will go down to Florennes for the aviation museum so yup.
Also if you get back to the airport get the bus to Ransart, and it's only 30 minutes.
Nice plan, enjoy mate. I've done a day trip to Manchester before the other way round. Easy to score a bargain with Ryanair! Currently at Malmö airport waiting for my eight euro flight to Stockholm!
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Thank you! I hope you enjoy Stockholm! and I'll be seeing you in your latest videos!
Been out filming today! Can't wait to show you what we've been up to!
Wow great sir, I just checked Flibco website they charge Return Tickets (Charleroi Airport to City Centre) 39.98 Euro. Sir, could you please let me know how much they charge now cuz checked on internet and do not showing on the website. Kind Regards
Price has probably gone up since I made the video three years ago
@@helloantoniotraveladventuresThanks sir, is there any train or metro service from Airport to City Centre? Kind Regards
No
so with one multi ticket 2 people can travel ?
Yes, you can use them simultaneously
@@helloantoniotraveladventures probably it's not working any more, trying to book for December 28th , useless
Don't book that's the key
Just buy one lot of ten tickets, that should sort you out
@@helloantoniotraveladventures thanks my friend, your video is very helpful
Hello sir , im international student new here i have a flight in few days how i can go from airpot to gent drampoot station.
Take the airport bus to Charleroi central and then travel by train. You can use the same ticket that I did here
@@helloantoniotraveladventures like I think you have buy a combine ticket for bus and train in € 8.30
Which ticket you have purchased and from where
SNCB multi ticket, I think it's about 88 euro for ten journeys
@@helloantoniotraveladventures no i only want single ticket to Ghent drampoot so which one I should choose as I'm. New in Europe
You can buy a combined ticket for about 16 euro I think
This is guy is like Bald and Bankrupt, but with hair and younger
Definitely taken as a compliment. Not sure how long the hair will last though
Hi Antonio
I was hoping to use this option
I was going to buy the ten tickets for me the husband and two girls
Can we all use this ticket
Also are these services regular
Can we also use this to go to Bruges x
Yes yes and yes! That's why I like this ticket so much. It might be cheaper to buy children's tickets separately though depending on how many tickets you'll need in total for your trips.
I think this will work
Because the flibco shuttle charges kids
And the reviews are appalling
Even if these ten tickets get us to and from the airport and to Bruges
It’s all worth it
I really appreciate you responding so quickly
Super helpful and kind
The girls are only 6 and 9 but this option will still be more effective d
No problem at all, happy to help!
I am a little bit messed up about your fluent accent. Could you please answer my questions if you have some time?
We are 4 people family(2 adult 2 children). As much as I understand Flibco is monopoly here. So there are a few options to get over this shit. I searched some ways to go Luttre gar or Charleroi Gar. Whic one is conscious and what are the prices? Could we pay the price of A buses on the bus?
Another one is where we can buy 10 times travel tickets? Does this ticket have a deadline and we can benefit any train without any administration in the Gar? Just going to train for 2nd class with no seat number and then making journeys.
I know it has been some long but the information you could give me will be so valuable. Best wishes
I think the a bus is about six euro. You can buy the ten times ticket on the sncb app. One year deadline, and between any two Belgian stations including Charleroi airport and bus to the airport from Charleroi central. Hope that helps!
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Thanks. When I look at the 10 times ticket it costs us 99 euro, almost 10 euro for each journey. I also checked the combined tickets from Charleroi airport to Brussels center, by using Lutre Gar, it costs 17.5 for each person. That means as if it is obligatory to use Flibco for our family. Moreover neither Flibco nor Sncb doesnt present any discount for children. But when I asked Sncb to present the prices from Lutre to Brussels city centre that costs 2 adults to 18 euro, 2 children to 10 euro, totally 28 euro. That means going to Lutre with the help of A3 bus, by just paying for A3 bus and train seperatly makes sense. Am I wrong? Without combing it is more conscious. Then I just want to ask that whether it is possible to pay just the price of A3 bus on the bus? Then planning rest of the trip seperately? What could you say?
@juneight sounds good to me, let me know how it goes! And don't give flibco a penny if you can help it!
@@helloantoniotraveladventures ok I will listen to you. Lastly Is it possible to pay the price of A3 bus(or any other A buses) on the bus(no matter cash or credit card)?
@juneight yes it is!
You sound like Bald and Bankrupt 😄
😂 I keep hearing this. Same accent I guess
EXACTLY. BRO i thought i had heard this voice!! Same voice , same accent!

Just a bit of facts checking: if you use the solution proposed in this video (TEC plus SNCB to go to Brussles) is costs more than with flibco. Flibco 14,70 if you book it online while it costs 15,70 if you use public transports. Everyone can chose the solution he prefers, but it is important not to give wrong information.
€8.30 if you use an SNCB multi, as stated in the video. I'm not giving wrong information. Cheers
The information given is right. If you buy a multi ticket pass you pay less than your company! :) I never take flibco because of your prices!
Cheers for backing me up. I can't believe they charge 17 euro for a 50 minute bus ride! And then accuse me of giving wrong information to my subscribers 🤪
@@helloantoniotraveladventures yes, but you have to buy 10 tickets at once ! so its 83 euros, if i am not local why should i pay this price ?
