It's amazing how Ramadan has changed. In times of sahaba it was simple now it has become luxurious and extravagant may Allah swt help us to gain more knowledge and become closer to the ways of prophet Muhammad saw and sahaba
Ramadan during lockdown is the best, time for reflection, prayer, repentence, educating our children in Islam, yes ramzan during the lockdown is the very best x

Excellent lecture. One point of clarification though: most of us are not working from home. Many people of color in particular have working class jobs. Black and Brown people are getting COVID-19 at a higher rate than others due to systemic poverty. It is a luxury and privilege to have a job whereby we can work from home. This lecture is catered to the economically privileged.

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. I am terminally ill and unfortunately there's no way I can fast Ramadan. I am afraid even praying taraweeh will be of very big challenge. I never missed any Ramadan fast or taraweeh. and feeling like heartbroken and lost. Can you please make lecture on how to make the most of Ramadan for people who can't fast and do regular Ibadah. May Allah reward you for everything you do
When you do anything make the intention something that will please God. When you nap, make the intemtion to rejuvinate your body so you can do whatever you are able to do..pray at home, pray in your bed, make thikr. If you are with your family make the intention of being kind to them as a means to please God by having kindness towards your family. When you are in prayer, you are "standing" before God ...so take comfort in knowing you are in His presence and take advantage of that opportunity to ask for forgiveness and paradise. Your mind can eat away at you when you are terminally ill, but put yourself in some form of worship...whatever you can to make your heart be the one in control and not your mind's worrying. I pray God puts comfort and peace in your heart and gives you ease. God loves you and has the best plan for you, accept your situation with hope for a reward for your acceptance of whatever God has decreed.

He has control of everything and can do anything and so ask for EVERYTHING and if it seems like you are not getting what you asked for, know that it is because He has something better than what you are asking for. Can someone tell me how I can do the juz along he talks about at 31:00? Should I be reading the juz before they post the lectures? I'm a newbie and this is my first ramadan, I guess I'm just afraid that reading along and listening to a TH-cam explanation of a juz won't fulfill my reading requirement I'm supposed to fulfill separately.
first- Welcome! :) Generally, it is good to read as much Quran as you can during Ramadhan but there isn't really a minimum you have to do. Sheikh wants to do a summary of one juz each night so that we can sort of get the main concept in each which is a great place to start- so that you can have a mind map of the whole Quran. Then maybe do the detailed lessons later like he mentions. I hope this helps :) May Allah make it easy for us all.
