    I was first diagnosed with bipolar then schizophrenia. These meds can worsen or cover up the real problem. If hallucinations are still present after neuroleptics then that's where you need to question if the psychosis is organic or not. After that I was diagnosed with epilepsy due to the seizures. After 3 anti-epileptic drugs with a normal MRI and EEG before and after medication, I kept declining. Catatonia set in on one side of my body and eventually both. A neurologist sent off a paraneoplastic test that finally diagnosed me. The recovery was about a year. I wish more doctors knew about this. I was extremely smart and successful before these symptoms came. I don't remember a lot of it. I had anti-nmda autoimmune encephalitis.

      I am so sorry to hear about your struggle and delayed diagnosis. I would love to chat with you. Is this possible?

    I was diagnosed with this. I had no hallucinations but I did have seizures and was hospitalized for a while. I did own my own home but now I am living with my mother, I cannot drive, when I used to be able to. Loss of independence is frustrating, but I am slowly gaining it back.

    Perhaps schizophrenia is just undetectable autoimmune encephalitis

    Treat with Xifaxen, Low Dose Naltrexone, T3/T4 NDT, remove yourself from a moldy home, check your antibodies, use red clover. My neurologist checked for nerve damage. No pathology or mri was ever performed. I've been sick for three years.

      I don’t know if you’ll respond to this, but my 35 year old son had meningitis and encephalitis at the same time when he was 7. They couldn’t find whether it was viral or bacterial, so I’m assuming it was fungal. His central nervous system had to heal for a long time, but he’s always had neurological problems. I cried when I pulled out boxes and boxes of places he had been for treatment. He’s an addict as well, but it stemmed from his inability to fit in with others.
      Then, he had some TBIs, where one was so severe, it knocked him out cold and it took a tear for his scull to heal. Now, guess what? He is living at my house first because he tried to commit suicide and came here after the hospitalization. But his father’s house had/has terrible mold because his father has terrible mold, and after over a year, he is just now having it remediated (They are doing it backwards, if you ask me.)
      I previously lived in a gorgeous condo, but I got extremely I’ll after moving in. I found out I had breast implant illness, and mold toxicity from my beautiful condo that I had to leave. The good part is that I learned a LOT, and recognized his symptoms while he was here for me to watch him. This poor kid has every symptom of everything! I don’t even.know where to take him. I found a mold specialist here in Michigan, and he tested positive for mold exposure and probably Babesia. He’s been through severe psychosis, paranoia, and stays in his room all day depressed.
      He has Medicaid and can’t go anywhere for treatment without a referral. He has no car and wants to be dead. now probably Babesia.
      He talks about suicide every day. We are scared because they won’t give him disability! He has had so many problems, that we are scared that when we die, he won’t have an income. He is so out-of-it, he couldn’t work at all!
      Any suggestions! Thanks! I’m sorry you went through this!
      Do I take him to a neurologist or a rheumatologist? Thanks!!

    I have this but none of the doctors know what it is here in Houston. The psychiatrist that I don't have schizophrenia but the doctors say I don't have neurological issues. All my tests have come out normal and they have all told me that I just need to learn to live with this illness. Where can I go to get treated?

    MRI with contrast can be dangerous, I've significant immune injury from the Gadolinium baed contrast which then caused autoimmune issues that led to me being here on this video now.

      Hi michael. What symptoms did you experience?

    • @michaelmaloco5492
      @michaelmaloco5492 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just have had lots of absence seizures. At the start tho I developed septicaemia and pneumonia as well and was very touch and go as to whether I was going to make it. I struggle a lot with my short term memory and concentration. I have basically been in the hospital since September as the doctors here try to figure out exactly what is going on. Everyone is very confused by it all
