    Nowadays I put all my extended EDC (pen, wet wipes, knife, some bike tools, band aid, hand lotion, eye drops etc.) into a small simple zipper pouch so I can easily switch it from backpack (work) to handbag (going out) to bike bag or weekender bag.

    I like the honesty about the usefulness of pouches, a find a lot of reviewers imply that you absolutely need some product no matter who you are. I'm not a heavy tech user or anything but I am someone who enjoys organization. Having pouches and bags makes things easier when I'm using things at home, at school, or traveling when I know I can just put what I need in one and I'm good.

    What the hell…I haven’t even gotten a shipment update yet for my Cap1 I paid for in early December!

      Europeans got it earlier if they ordered through a European retailer - I imagine that's how Bo got it. EG's stock, as far as we know, is stuck in a shipping container in Seattle.

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, shipping and the supply chain is currently pretty terrible due to the pandemic and other factors unfortunately. One of the many reasons I hope the pandemic will be over this year. Fingers crossed you get yours as soon as possible

    That Trakke pouch is still great, one of the best. Lately I prefer wearing less pouches, and using the bags compartments instead. But, that Trakke is still a must.

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. If I would stick to just one bag, I'd probably opt to utilize all compartments of the bag instead of using pouches

    I don't know if you would see it so easily in any bag because a lot of bags are lined with orange. 🤡

    Great video! I use lots of pouches for my extended EDC. I love bags and have collected several now and like to change them out from time to time. It makes more sense to me to just switch the pouches over to the new pack. I am currently using a THULE small tech pack, Tom Bihn side effect, Tom Bihn small whale pouch, and a topo designs accessory bag for pens & pencils.

    • @Youknowthebo

    Great video Bo . Watched the whole thing . You gave me a few good ideas for my extended edc pouch . Personally I prefer your track pouch but like you said . You gotta work out what works best for you .
    I’m stealing your gaffa tape idea and I like your torch rational . You are right ; having a torch that you don’t need a power bank for and can just throw a battery in , is a great idea . Nice post . ✌🏼

    My "EDC" is pretty simple, now, phone, card holder, spare car key, and car key. I keep masks and hand sanitizer in the car, since I do food delivery part time.
    Everything else I might need I realized is already in my backpack.

    About the Victorinox knife, I always, and I mean always travelled with it for the past 5 years in Europe. European law dictated that you can carry blades (knife or scissors) with a blade no longer that 6 cm.
    UK border control found it and they said it is fine, Italy border control found wanted to take it away, but them released it in a couple of minutes. Honestly the Victorinox manager is the best traveling tool. Germany, Czech Republic, Spain ( they didn't take the knife but a large carabiner, whatever), France, Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal, Sweden, Austria and even Romania didn't blink an eye when they saw it and I keep it on my keys, so very easy to see on the tray when I pass security at the airport.
    Honestly, never had an issue with it.
    I believe I took it to Japan and South America (across 5 countries) and never had issues with it..
    BEST TOOL EVER!!

    • @georgesgurescu163
      @georgesgurescu163 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Officially, EU regulations allow passengers to travel with bladed items no longer than 6cm - the Swiss Army knife is the same length
      Now, as long as the item is a Victorinox SD or similar, used as a keychain, you shouldn't have problems.
      But if you have a one hand opening, lockable blade, mil-specs knife that is shorter than 6 cm. You will have troubles!

    Great video! Thanks for the ideas like the gaffer tape on the pen! I keep a bit of tape wrapped around a piece of an old card in a similar way just in case I need a bit.
    I have a similar approach to you for my GaN charger, various cables, etc. The Evergoods pouch looks really nice, but the pouch I use is more similar to your Trakke pouch. It's the Thule Paramount 2 Cord pouch. It doesn't have any organization, but I've found that if you keep your cables organized it's an excellent option. My current bag doesn't have an admin panel that can handle all of this and it's easy to just toss the pouch in the bottom and hit the road.

    • @Youknowthebo

      😂 Yeah, in hindsight I should have taken the 1/8th instead of the 1/4th pro mist. But I definitely like the less clean look for bags. It does get rid of all of the moire

    How do you not travel anymore?
    Germany hasn’t been a lockdown in ages
    I’ve traveled just as much in die the last two years as i did before covid
    Never contracted it
    Right now its safer here in Costa Rica than it is at home
    So i dont get the narrative of not traveling anymore
    Obviously you wouldn’t wanna travel to South Africa

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, Germany hasn't been in a hard lock down since the summer. But we had some lockdown lights in between. And seeing that Germany dropped really low in ranking being one of the countries with high numbers and numbers rising again from time to time, I honestly did not feel comfortable traveling. I was one of the many people who had been hit hard by the pandemic, so I just did not feel secure risking my work and life too early. Due to the pandemic I wasn't working for over four months in 2020. So I played it safe in 2021. And seeing the current state in Germany I think I made the right call. You are right: we are allowed to travel, but I don't think it's worth the risk at the moment in Germany.

    • @Chr.1995
      @Chr.1995 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Youknowthebo I fully understand what you are saying but at the same time if you can work remotely there is the possibility to work anywhere in the world so you could get away from the flu season in Germany and work in a country like Costa Rica where numbers are low like very very low and most of the life happens outside so you would be safer in a country like that. The only risk might be at an airport but again I've been traveling around the last two years and have not had any problems what so ever.

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds like a good idea. But that doesn't work for me: a) my work is reliant on Germany. Yes, I work remotely from home, but I still get delivered hard drives on short notice and have to send them back as quickly as possible as well. b) I got family, mortage etc. So that digital nomad life is possible, but just not for my life and work situation.
      Really appreciate your thoughts and suggestion. Thanks, mate
