Is the Kosas 2.5 good for fair cool skin, or does it have too much peach/warmth? I have shade 1.5 but I’m thinking it’s a little too light for my entire face. Wondering if 2.5 would be better...I think my skin tone is similar to yours ☺️ I also wanted to know your thoughts about the Saie super glow gel after you’ve been wearing it for several weeks. @@hannahmatsuda5756 I love the Saie! If you, like me, want a little shine, but not color (no gold or pink, ect) this is a sweet little find. Re the Kosas ... this color may be a smidge too light for me, but I'll suggest something I do which could help with undertone Whatever I have left of my foundation on the back of my hand, I mix with the concealer. This will thin the concealer a bit, but also help with the darken up something to light and get a better undertone.

      It hard pans because the brush is transferring oil from your skin onto the compact. Try using a clean brush every day. Also rubbing a spoolie across the top of the powder will keep it from hard panning.

    I love the Kosas new concealer shades! I went into a Credo store last week and came out with both 1.5 and 2.5. I also use the shade 1 around the perimeter of my face, but it was always slightly too yellow for anywhere else since the center of my face is more pink. The 2.5 is perfect for neutralizing my dark under-eye circles and the 1.5 is undetectable around my nose and chin. I’m a painter, so this combo makes me so happy! It feels like MY skin but just less inflamed and more hydrated.

    The Chantecaille sales rep. swore to me that vanilla was my color. When I got into my car, I looked like an Oompa Loompa. I have to mix Alabaster with Ivory to get my ideal shade. I've recently embraced the Beautyblender for applying concealer and powder. Although the BB thins the coverage, if I use my finger, it ends up picking up the product, which may be due to my sunscreen. Finally, brands are putting out more cooler tones. It's why I own a few Tilbury or McGrath products.

    Lovely video, I bought the Saie highlighter a couple of weeks back and I've not got round to trying it out on my face yet (this video has given me the impetus to try it out tomorrow) I allso have the CT one, I just couldn't seem to get a natural look with it but it looks so pretty swatched on my hand! I decided to splurge on the new Chantecaille cushion foundation after watching your video (about five times over trying to justify the price) I already have the Chantecaille future skin and it feels and looks lovely on the skin (I think I'm in Ivory) the only thing I found was the colour looked very orange on me too, I don't know if it oxidises but that had put me off wearing it, but after spending the day trialling wearing the future skin again (indoors) I decided to buy the cushion foundation. I ordered the second lightest (Alabaster) and it arrived today (I was super excited to get it) but it looked orange as I peeled off the seal and I wondered if I had made a massive mistake in buying it, but I tried it out and I must say, it's so, so pretty, it does looks darker in the pan, but so far I am really loving it (so thank you very much for doing a video on it). I also bought the Shiseido synchro skin radiant lifting and that is really pretty and makes my skin look really healthy. I might look at the Kosas concealer next as that looks and sounds amazing, but to be honest both concealers look the same on camera.
    Thank you for making such lovely videos, I could watch them all day!

    The clinique concealer is a better colour match, according to my screen. The Kosas ingredient list sounds great. The 2.5 shade might be too light - maybe the 3.5 would be better. You could perhaps apply a colour corrector (e.g. Charlotte Tilbury’s) prior to applying concealer. Thank you for doing this. I have been using the Sisley concealer and loving it - but it is hellishly expensive. I am fairer than you (Chantecaille alabaster) - do you think the 2.5 in Kosas would work for me?

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 2.5 might work for you - I haven't seen the Chantecaille Alabaster personally though. Unfortunately, the 3.5 is olive, and I don't want any green under the eyes as I think it will read like darkness...I'm thinking, since the Clinique looks so similar, I may get that one in a shade darker and mix n match. Like them both for crepey skin - hardly any creasing and neither look drying either!

Like a pungent wax crayons smell, and not is a nice way. I never noticed any smell before so I can only assume the product has gone off.
