Out of 3 Van Dijk is the one we cant let go the structure is built around him. All other CBS we have cannot play without VVD. Its always him and someone and whenever they play without him in FA Cup and Carabao we are always found wanting. He is still fit and has at best 3 seasons in him before considerable decline. he is the one we cant lose. other 2 its debatable. Salahs goals would be dearly missed but a chance for someone to excel would open up. Its not as if we are going to win the league the scary thing with Salah leaving is how far down will we fall without his goals. He's still fit and just like VvD he has at best 2-3 more season at this level before a decline starts to happen. Trent is the least of our worries. Its more sentimental becasue he is homegrown but in the greater impact on the team his assists would be missed but a solution can be found without him. In any event he's not going to go even if the contract standoff goes till end of the season as he actually wants to stay. All the 3 players actually want stay. Its just the numbers that are going to be key if they stay. Where VvD and Salah are concerned they have to take an extension with small increase and Trent has a bumper salary considering he is still young
People underestimate how important VVD is for his long ball threat. He has very long range and is accurate with BOTH feet, which means he can release that pass with little warning. Even when the long ball is not made, the threat of a sudden long ball makes it easier for the forwards to spread the opposition back line, and opens up big half spaces for midfielders to run onto. When VVD was out on injury, the missing long ball threat made Liverpool's progression more predictable and thus slower. Now, this will matter somewhat less for Slot than Klopp, but losing VVD would still matter.
I think Van Dijk is more important to Liverpool then Salah. I know Salah gets some great numbers, but Van Dijk gives that stability at the back and if they can only keep one of the two, i think they should go for Van Dijk. And with Trent, they 100% need to keep Trent because he was born and bred in Liverpool and its their best home grown player they have.
Salah and Mane helped us get to consistant top 4. But it's VVD and Alisson that made us title contenders, without stability, you have nothing. Salah is more talented but VVD is equally important to the functioning of the team
@@TinyBudha yeah I agree and I reckon Salah has more off games then Van Dijk and he is more consistent for us and I think we need his leadership still until we get another quality CB as Quansah is still young and not up to it yet and I think Mo will still demand a lot of money.

Nah... The question should be is Alexander-Arnold The Great worth the trouble. What is this putting finger on lips and kissing camera? The mofo is an incompetent one-trick pony who only knows how to swing leg and hope for the best.
@@SkywalkerXxX It's more like he can do a Gerrard or a McManaman. He can't do a Coutinho as he has less than a year left of his contract, which means he'll be sold at a cut-price or leave for free. That's how stupid/cheap FSG are. 🤣🤣🤣
Got a superb replacement waiting and ready. If he stays or goes isn't a huge deal. Pay him what he's worth, but not more. End of the day the local guy wants to stay, or he fancies a few years overseas when he's young (who doesn't). Personally if he fancies 3-4 years in Madrid earning huge dollars , leaves on a free and then comes home on a free then good luck to him.
Unless Trent just doesn't want to be there or wants something unreasonable, I'm done if Liverpool lets him walk. Trent is responsible for 60 percent of the scoring for years. He would be the one making the pass or decision on a scoring result or he would be the one scoring.

Van Dijk should be No. 1 priority, Liverpool need to maintain stability at the back until they get a proper replacement or a solid defensive mid.
