Everyone is allowed to be PREJUDICE, towards their CHARACTER AS A PERSON. TO be racist is to hate that they are of another race!! The last, IS TRULY EVIL!!
Tony is my favorite by far, it’s hard to get into other pods after you hear a great KillTony episode! Gone through all episodes 2 1/2 times, never gets old!
I mean I love Whiskey Ginger, Goons, Wild Ride with Steve-o, and if I'm feeling like some intense stuff I listen to Mr. Ballens podcast. There are plenty good podcasts out there, you just have to find the ones that suit your taste. The Always Sunny podcast is cool too because they go through and breakdown each episode of IASIP for a good portion and go off on tangents.
I watch the entire episode of a standup because I actively seek them out. They’re my favorite thing to watch. Rarely do I not finish, only if I really dislike the special. Even ones that are slow I will try to sit through to give them the full chance.
Most my consumption of stand up is through clips on TH-cam, but I do sit down and watch a full hour of comedians I love. I’ve watched yours on showtimes and loved it by the way.
I always watch the special through. I like the one hour. 30 minutes is like a tease. And an hour and a half is too long. An hour is the sweet spot. If it's a good special I will watch it many times a year. It is sad to me that Netflix isn't getting more comedy. The more the merrier. That said I see Netflix's loss should be Amazon's gains. On another note, Rogan bashes that everyone is getting specials now, so he asks is it really a special. Yes it is. I feel a special has evolved. In my opinion, I consider a special an hour long routine of the comedians best material. Once a comic has a solid hour, release it, and it's a special. Good or bad. And that then retires the material. Keep the laughs coming! Thanks Andrew!
Most people I talk to only watch for 15 minutes and end up not going back but I am like you and want to be a comic so I end up loving and watching and studying to a point
The hour special is still a great call! It just depends on who is doing it I think. If it’s a person I keep up with, I watch the special the day it comes out all the way through no matter what! But if it’s a person I haven’t heard of, I’ll throw it on in the car or when I’m bored but won’t watch it all the way through most likely.
On how I watch standup specials: personally I watch them all the way thru in one sitting. When I show someone a special we watch it all the way thru. Nate Bargatze’s special The Tennesse Kid loved it so much I watched his half hour and then watched half of the new special again.
Cheeto Santino (not sure if I spelt that right) I watch a stand up special all the way thru but that varies on how the material gets to me. If I truly enjoy it I will watch a special multiple times.
every special i watched, i sat all the way through. i don't see a reason to put on a special to cut it short. one sitting, or if i have to take it with me to finish watching on my phone on the go or whatever, im all in.
And I love the extended content. Rogans 3 hour podcast is great for me. As a construction worker I listen all day and love the detail of the long shows. I'd like to see more of you podcasters extend your time. Your Moms House puts out longer content to, it's great.
Im always watching comedy specials and podcast and watch them all the way tr Through. I'm one of those people that watch the 3 hour podcast with a another one loaded up in the Playlist
Damn!! Just noticed the upload and i gotta go to work!! Well, looks like i have a little fuel to get me through a day of roofing... T-minus 8hrs to watch one of my favorite podcasts with the guest whos the host on one of my other favorite podcasts! Thanx for the upload Slugger!!
I sit and watch the whole hour for my favorite 10-15 comics. Cheeto when you or the Golden Pony put out a special I’ll watch it in one sitting for sho.
Talking about hour specials and platforms: I still watch an hour but what is more interesting to me is something like Bumping Mics or a touring show. Even if it’s like a mini season that headlines my favorite comic, and has some openers leading up to them. Having multiple, shorter episodes induces binging and therefore I’m watching more of someone’s content without feeling the commitment to finishing an hour.
Here to comment about the comedy specials question. I honestly will sit and watch a 1 hour special, but at about 30-40 minutes I start to check out and look at the phone, play with the dog, etc. So I think the sweet spot is around 30 mins for a special. Also, great episode.
I grew up watching standup comedy, so I watch specials all the way through on Netflix for sure and I watch specials pretty much everyday. You need a Netflix special Santino!
I definitely watch specials all the way through by myself or with my lady. But I have watched specials with friends at their place and sometimes watch half way or just play it in the background.
to answer Santino's Question about watching comedy specials: here is my attention span ha... for comedians I really like, mostly through but I'm checking out after 40. comedians I'm checking out: less than 30min. random comedian: you have like 10min barely
I watched Bumping Mics all the way through but with strick stand up i only watch like 15 mins. Especially with friends and family. Comedy dork here lol
I know it's not a big deal and people who wanna find the guest's stuff are gonna find it anyway, but I think you should always atleast put a link of your guest in the description. Love your stuff, keep it up!
I watch a lot of stand up, so how long watching a special depends who it is for me. If it's one of my fav comedians I'll watch start to finish. Others might watch in segments. Comedians I haven't seen before I give 5-10 min shot before turning off if it's not funny
I was at the improve pissing and Tony walks in. I’m the only one in the bathroom and he says “don’t freak out everybody it’s only the greatest all and upcoming comedians of our time”
Wow im literally sitting in a subway on the square, on the opposite corner of state street in madison wisconsin. Thats awesome that he loves this place. Its a great city, and state.
I finish specials, but I only watch ones that I want to see. Meaning, if I see some clips online, or hear people on podcast's. That is how I found you boiii!
finally amazon prime let me watch homefield advantage couple weeks ago. There should be somekind of comedianstubeflix prime, where you could see acts for like 5 bucks a month.
I personally will watch most specials all the way through. Every now and then if it is just not working for me I will back out, but I basically watch 1 or 2 specials a month and 90% of the time I watch the entire special.
I watch all of a special if I start watching one. I genuinely love stand up and always have growing up. I think TH-cam is as of right now looking to be the next best thing for stand up tho because of the fact that most people take stand up in 6 to 10 minute clips
Specials I actively want to see, I'll make time to watch the full hour, but it's so easy to just try someone's new special that I'll give it a go without feeling committed to having to watch it all in one sitting or even finish it. I heard Burt say Netflix asked him to move his closer to the 30 min mark because that's when most people end it
2 of my favorite comedians. Please keep on keeping on the both of yous guys. All the love from cleveland ohio ya ginger mfer. Also love Dave Andrew crushes it. Dave and Kill Tony is hubby wifey time on school nights. Im all sci fi nerdy shes all murder shows. U guys bring more ppl together then u know. Thank u very much.
I am a college kid and if I turn on a special no one is taking my away from finishing it no matter what. I also show the specials to at least one person after I watch them.
For the most part, I will watch a special to completion. I feel like you should watch the whole thing if you want to complain about it and have a credible opinion. I re watch my favorites if I ever need a laugh. That's just me though.
I rarely rewatch specials but I know going into one that I'm going to give that person my hour even if it's lackluster. The friend I generally watch them with sees them early on and suggests rewatching so that's at least two hours for him. So it helps to have the same taste as a super big stand up fan. I'm the podcast guy so I gotta let him know about Whiskey Ginger.
For the special question, I watch the entire thing from finish to end but if I don't like it I usually turn it off. Haven't had that issue with any of the people I watch on podcasts though.
for me, i watch comedy specials in different time intervals since it is very accessible, i can watch wherever. an hour or more usually turns into 2-3 watches. even a half hour can turn into a couple different watches.
In all harness, I think the newish direction for content isnt really a new platform its how you use old platforms. On TH-cam some creators are doing memberships (TH-cam Patreon) for either ad free, early, specialty, and/or un edited content since you can post it to a membership feed. So you can technically create your own TH-cam premium specifically designed for people that want it. So your comment on doing a 30 min show, I think would be perfect for this type of use on TH-cam. Were you could have adds on the 30 whether sponsors or normal ads or both! but then allow for a full 30 from a membership feed.
Tony looks like he spends his afternoons tying down damsels to railroad tracks
Tying down gentlemen more likely
Ben Simmons tony has as many NBA 3s as you
