    Tony Hawk is sick. That dudes videos games brought me so much fucking entertainment as a kid. I always joke with my uncle that he looks like Tony Hawk (cuz he does) and his daughter who's only 6 didn't know who Tony was so I had to explain to her that he's basically the best skateboarder to ever live. I showed her Tony doing 50 tricks and she loved it.

    I was at my peak as a skater during the outlaw years. I stopped in 96 , too many injuries. The golden era of street skating. Old Plan B videos, the beginning of 411 video magazine, Funnest times of my life. Running from cops, shredding the South suburbs of Chicago. Great podcast 👍

      Not the same timing but same story. After breaking every damn joint at least twice, then around 8 concussions and then snapping my femer, I was done...
      And now I have degenerative disc disease in my back, happily ever after

    • @SeaOrcRonnie
      @SeaOrcRonnie 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Collins811 damn dude! You definitely went harder than me on your body. I was just getting laid up for weeks at a time with horrific ankle sprains, huge hip watermelon bruises, along with grape fruit knee bruises filled with fluid. Would miss school a bunch because I couldn't get up and walk around. I ultimately wanted to play baseball and that's kind of tough to do when your fucked up all the time haha 👍

    • @SeaOrcRonnie
      @SeaOrcRonnie 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Deee S that's a great recommendation. That had not really crossed my mind. I recently transitioned to some electric longboarding and it seemed to really quench my thirst for being on a board again. However, I'm not too pleased with my purchase and multiple exchanges. I'd like to see some of the premium boards come down in price just a bit before making another investment.

    This is pretty off-topic but has anyone else seen the documentary Dragonslayer? It's from 2011 I believe an it's about this homeless skater kid in California who was once pretty promising, fell out of it (due to drugs and other issues) and is trying to make his comeback. It's actually one of my favorite docs of all time and if you're into skate culture I highly, highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.
