Yeah, I still remember that I got my GTX 980 4GB (top nvidia card at the time) for around 500 dollars. Imagine getting RTX 4080 for 500$ right now. No wonder people are mad when low-mid range GPU is priced what high end used to be. I also miss the times when graphic cards were... "Cards". Right now we should call them Graphic Bricks....
@@harryniedecken5321 You may be right. Newest AMD apu is more or less equivalent of GTX 1650 (depending on the mobo & ram as it affects performance). For 1080p gaming it should be enough. Maybe like 2 or 3 generations from now we will have APUs that are even more powerful. And this is most likely something that will hit GPU manufacturers hard. Imagine average gamer not buying graphics card at all...
Short answer: if you don't need that much VRAM, go for the "older" 6700xt which is better in gaming and maybe cheaper depending on your region. Heck, in Europe the 7600XT has the same price as RX 6800 16GB. Let's be honest, 6800 is waayyy faster. What a time to be alive!
For gaming yes, if you are going for other workloads like any usage of AI it's a nice one. Sure you can get something from Nvidia for that price which will run even faster, but Vram is the only saving grace for this one.
6700xt is honestly becoming a slept on goat for GPU price to performance. I'm glad I got one after prices came down. Initial reviews weren't that great but it's becoming recommended more lately
This same reviewer has said many wrong things when reviewing monitors too. He should stay in his lane and only cover keyboards like the true hipster he is.
@@evilleader1991 Yes massive oversight when he's slamming it for bad value against RX6000 cards that'll be out of stock soon. Compares it to the 4060 Ti 16GB the whole video and doesn't say that it's US$100 (37%) more expensive product. Shameful.
@@evilleader1991 It's interesting when comparing him to Alex as a reviewer. Both are pretty biased at times, but Alex maybe not that much and I rarely see it negatively impact the objectivity of his reasonings. On the other side there's someone whose judgements are often purely subjective and constantly flawed either by prevalent personal preference or evident lack of knowledge in the majority of domains covered :T
Yeah. I had to set up a bot watch list just to find a Sapphire 6700xt in stock. They downpriced the 6 gen cards so low its a steal, this is the golden months for buying a mid range gpu. Huge L for ltt on this one. You won't get a 6700xt in stock soon.
Should have made it 10 or 12 GB, pushed 300 dollars MSRP if not lower, and marketed it as filling the VRAM demands of console ports. 16 GB is too much for the GPU performance to need
@@Groovy-Train honestly it might have been worth it. at the current pricing, the only demand for this card are people who really want to play consol ports on a budget PC, but absolutely cannot buy last gen or used. there's very little market for this, and without a clock speed bump or more sensible VRAM quantity to bring the price down a little, no one is going to buy these gpu's. hell, it might have even been a better choice to move the navi 33 die to TSMC N5 and leave the VRAM alone, so you get a real performance boost outside of edge cases.
The whole reason both Nvidia 4000 series and AMD 7000 series is released the way they did was to say "Look, guys, you either buy the full stock of previous gen or we will release worse proucts for the same price until you do" So 7600 is just advertisement material to sell more 6700.
I'd probably still pick RX7600XT over 6700XT because of the VRAM, not because I need it for productivity but because it seems that VRAM demands in games are getting higher with each new game and I think that extra 4gb will matter more in the not so distant future.
I remember the times when I was happy that I got 25 fps in a game and 15 fps during intense moments when stuff was happening on the screen. I don't want to sound like an old person (during my days etc), but gamers nowadays don't even realize how "spoiled" they are. Stuff needs to happen in minimum 60 FPS in at least 4K or 1440p. 1080p is too low lol.
Specially in single player/story driven games like esports games ok I get it but c'mon, I guess is thanks all that frame generation frenzy people are getting used to see big numbers even if they are "fake"
My mom said that its okay that I lose to the Cyberpunk AI because I can only run it at 45 fps and the AI is playing it at 240fps so its Actually not a skill issue they just see me 5 times faster than I see them how can I compete with that.
On a 4k monitor, at 1440p... let's be honest, if you're budget gaming, you're on a 1080p monitor. At most you'll have a 144hz display, this can probably reach that just fine.
7:15 that's actually a good thing ya know also the 7000 series was released because of the AI accelerators, it wasnt meant for gamers really but as a competition in AI workstations
1:45 from my experience, the order is there so you can arrange the order of your monitors, so if you have HDMI connected monitor, it doesn't have to be exclusively either #1 or not-#1 in monitor list. Useful for when you want specific monitor to be used as main for BIOS and other stuff, not all motherboards can change which monitor is main by default.
That also bugged me as yet another example of clearly uninformed ranting. Not sure if it always works that way - sometimes I feel the assignment of display #1 among the DPs to be rather random - but whenever your interpretation applies (it probably does in most cases) then your explanation is a great example of a conscious observation demonstrating an actual thought process as opposed to obstinate mimimimi due to evident lack of insight :S
Seeing the 6700XT being brought up as the "just go for this instead" while when the 6700XT came out it was considered mediocre or even garbage makes me sure that in 1-2 years the 7600XT will be a "just go for this instead of .
Was this how people viewed the RX570 8GB back when it launched, relative to the RX570 4GB? (Apart from the fact that those cards are like half the price as the 7600 at launch)
I ended up grabbing the 7600xt for a new build. I admit the 6700xt was on my radar but the HYPR-RX feature is the primary reason I felt I should go for the 7600xt + the 16gb of vram will be more futureproof.
You certainly did nothing wrong - and don't listen to all the nay-sayers. (And trust me, they'll come before long!) One point though - HyprRX and FSR3 are also available on 6000 Series GPUs. That's why personally I'd have chosen the 6700XT. However, going with 16GB of VRAM instead is a perfectly valid choice, even more so if you tend to keep your GPUs for longer.
I'm gaming at 1080p all the time and my GTX1060 6Gb is starting to slowly show it's age. It has been a true servant in my gamingrig and been my main GPU through 3 diffrerent setups (played CP2077 and TW3 1080p high settings so i didnt' see a point in upgrading) , but now i feel it's time to upgrade. I was looking at Gigabytes 3060TI, then Geforce RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition.. then RTS 4060.. I also believe that most game developers now days aren't really truthfull at how much VRAM their game uses, and i saw a video showing *The Last of Us* using up over 12Gb of VRAM... so buying a GPU with 16Gb VRAM should secure the rig for the foreseeable future for gaming.
Just a friendly correction: "AFMF is basically an answer to Nvidias DLSS Framegeneration" (4 min 50 sec)". That is not correct. AFMF (AMD Fluid Motion Frames) is not the competitor to DLSS 3 Frame Generation. FSR 3 is. It is a very similar procedure. Both combine motion vectors (getting that from the game's engine) and optical flow compute (Nvidia has fixed function hardware for that - AMD does it via compute). Both have latency reduing procedures to compensate the added latency of compute and delaying a frame. Nvidia has reflex and FSR3 has a reflex equivalent baked in. Both require explicit implementation into the game by the developer. But both are so similar (as FSR2 and DLSS2 are very similar how they work) that modders had a easy time to inject FSR3 when DLSS3 Frame Generation is supported and likely vice versa. AFMF on the other hand is not reliant on implementation by the developer - it works transparent to the game. This procedure uses a similar optical flow procedure as in FSR3 but since it does not get motion vectors from the engine it is more limited in terms of stability. Also it does not have a lag reduction mechanism built in. Although both AFMF and FSR3 FG are somewhat similar those are not the same. DLSS 3 Frame Generation should be compared to FSR3.
They made the exact same mistake on the LTT channel with the RTX 4070 Super review video. It sucks that what should be a tech expert review spreads misinformation.
And still cheaper than a 4060ti. And good luck getting a 6700xt in stock by next month, I grabbed the last 6700xt Sapphire had on amazon and it hasn't restocked since.
Can we get a spreadsheet of the AMD cards at 1440p? specifically compared to a 1070 since I'm trying to upgrade from that. Looking to double my ram from 16-32, swap my 2600 for a 5600, and IDK on the GPU yet, but I wanna spend about the same(or less) than I did on the 1070 ($400) for as substantial an increase in performance that I can stick with for the next 5 years or so before eventually building an all new system on AM5 and DDR5.
Part of me wonders if the frame generation is actually working, or if its placebo in most cases where the 100fps saying 180fps tricks you to see it more fluid.
@@evilleader1991 Interlacing is an old technique. Frame generation tech is more like MPEG codec, H264 compression. 'Analyzing two images back-to-back, DLSS 3 uses this information to insert an extra AI-created frame that does not have to be rendered by the game itself' Interlacing, renders even and odd lines of the display and hurts performance, refresh rate. We got away from that after CRT even if the HDMI/DP standard can support.
The real question is, at what price does this card become compelling and when is that most likely to happen? A chart or analysis that I'd really like to see is a comparative GPU MSRP over time and the relative time between price drops across multiple years, makes, and models. It's a lot of data, but maybe put it on the back-burner at Labs. "Meh" performance-to-cost at launch isn't unusual. I'd argue it's been the industry norm for nearly 20 years.
Unless someone made the worlds smallest 4060 ti without anyone noticing, there's a mistake in the sizes. For some reason i doubt that the 4060 ti is 23.24 mm tall when the others are 98.4 and 148mm tall. Also just from analysing the pictures, it looks like the a770 dimension is just the cooler (not including the pci slot), while the 7600 xt includes the pcie slot circuit board as well
One point bought up by derbauer is that because 4060ti has such a low TDP, it can actually be better value in long run due to electricity savings if you have expensive electricity
Not even a single word about what's potentially of predominant relevance especially for customers targeted at this price bracket: the blatant lack of PCIe lanes on the 7600XT and the 4060 Ti. Alas, at this level of equally glaring lack of competence LMG will never live up to their perpetually self-proclaimed standards, ever ... not surprised particularly this host preferred to go on in lengths about RGB features instead while ironically missing out on the one significant thing that could/should/would have provided the conclusion of leaning towards the A770 with some actual substance [*:
The 7600 XT should be at most $299 to feel like a great deal. At $329 it is still a good deal. I while I agree the 6700 XT is a better deal, I feel you should have included this card on your comparison, feels it comes out of a left field you mentioned this card without giving any proper comparison between the two. Also, these 16GB cards feel like something of a "budget" Machine Learning/A.I. card, I would have liked to see some benchmarks on workloads to see if the 7600XT performs as good or better than the competition. Also, something that really annoyed me was how in teh charts the cards were all-over the place, sometimes the 4060ti was on top, sometimes was at the bottom. Sometimes the top chart wasn't the best performing, sometimes it was... I made read the charts quite difficult and annoying. I would rather you place the 7600 XT on top then the 4060Ti and then the A770 regarless of performance.
@@Groovy-Train I believe it's there because they are comparing "cheap" 16GB cards. But at a MSRP of $500 it way, way more expensive than the 7600 XT and A770. Might as well compare it to the next 16GB card on the 7800 XT as well... The card comparison really baffles me. They should have compared it with the 4060 non-ti instead. It has 8GB of VRAM, yes, but it is closer in price and performance.
@@LeGoooze Yes, the 4060 is a better comparison price wise. This review is just a shit show and seems like it was churned out to fill a slot rather than be of any actual use.
Just because of that VRAM, i know it'll be a great card for VRChat, that game is super VRAM intensive after more people are in the lobby with you, and having double the VRAM overhead compared to any 8gb card is going to be night and day in performance
So true! IMO, 16GB is the sweetspot for VRChat if you want to see everyone's avatars. After all, having more VRAM capacity doesn't increase performance, it's a necessity for those who know they need it.
I don't know about FMF but DLSS really struggles with emails in Cyberpunk 2077, the blurring when you scroll is just terrible. On a side note it is nice to see a Intel's cards included even if they're not that competitive yet.
4:47 AFMF* is NOT AMD's answer to Nvidia's Frame Generation. FSR3 Frame Generation is AMD's answer to Nvidia's Frame Generation. AFMF is driver side interpolation that can't take in consideration UI elements, will disable itself on fast mouse movements and can be enabled on DX11-12 (and Vulkan and OpenGL with a registry tweak). Nvidia DOES NOT have an equivalent to AFMF, for not at least.
Arc has much better media engine support and better visuals imo and you can snag an a770 for 250 all day. I'm curious if can use the new 8700g apu to offload upscaling or fmf along with dedicated card... that's what I wanna know.
That's honestly what it should be priced at because the 7600 is honestly not much faster than the 6600 and with such a disappointing amount of performance I really think that it shouldn't cost so much money.
Sure, the 6000 series cards are still around now, and are a better option at that price, but if they are out of stock in a little while, this generation card will likely have dropped in price and takes their spot. If they would have not brought anything out this gen because it's like a higher up card last gen anyway, then as soon as they disappear, theyw ill have nothing to offer. It's not a reasonable option...now.
Excactly. I like how he also glosses over the fact that the 4060 Ti 16GB he compares it to the most all video (and it hangs pretty well with in the benchmarks) is US$100 (37%) more costly. It's not even in the same price bracket. The 4060 (non-Ti) 8GB should have been the comparison Nvidia card at the same price which would've gotten flogged.
Minor annoyance that the HDMI logo was the same as the DP but understandable for anyone who sees this that's not info tech (rare circumstances I know but better safe than sorry) an HDMI port is more trapezoid shape.
just picked up the power color RX6800XT for under $300 on eBay but it needed a new fan other than that this card is a beast and clocks up to 2550 sometimes close to 2600 MHz (undervolted @1018 mv) while gaming and it's quiet for the most part other than the eBay fan replacement makes a ticking noise at low RPM just contacted Power Color to see if I can purchase one from them I may even attempt to transplant the wires from the eBay fan onto the original fan as the previous owner somehow cut the cable off and lost the connector said he had no idea but it got him to give me $160 off the sale price so with the card and fan I have just under $300 into it. I never buy new GPU's and never had a used one disappoint or fail or me eBay is the way to go their return policy is solid I even purchased a RTX 2080 Ti that looked to be un used well it probably was as it was DOA I got a full refund even though the seller swore it worked even though their wasn't a speck of dust inside this card indicating to me it never ran,
@@TheJALT2 It isn't worse than it but it isn't a lot better than it either, it's a worse value for sure when you can pick up a 6700 XT for the same price which beats it as explained in video
I currently have a 1080 (non Ti) and was looking for an "upgrade", either in terms of power (it's in a very small ITX case) or performance (or both?). But I don't understand where I should look. This card (if they make one under 185mm in lenght)? 6600XT? 4060? Arghhhh
That depends on how much GPU power you honestly want. If you are going for an RX 6600 then realistically you are actually not getting that much more GPU power where a 6700 XT is definitely much faster but I'd argue that after so much time you should really look for a 6800 at minimum.
@@evilleader1991 It's like I just mentioned that all the new cards are basically just garbage and unless you're buying a 7900 or a 7900 XTX there is nothing else to buy from AMD except for a 6000 series.

I think it'd be better to have comparisons between the RX 7600 for the difference of the added "XT" and the RTX 4060 aswell since the pricing is between a 4060 and 4060Ti
Why on Earth would you go for an ARC A770 at the same price? Despite driver improvements the Intel card is still clearly inferior in gaming. Also AMD's AFMF is not their premium frame generation technology. It's just a driver based solution for the RX 6000 and 7000 series. FSR3 has the 'real' frame generation, but that has to be implemented in the game.
I bought a 'used' rx 6700 (non xt) the other day. Still has a full year of warranty coverage left looks basically brand new and I purchased it for 260 euros which is about 280~ USD Edit: Also to add insult to injury in Europe 7600xt prices are higher. 360 euros. Which is about 390 USD
@@CheapBastard1988 While that is true. (I honestly forgot about it) After sanity checking. Even with taxes. Europe is about 35-40~ dollars more expensive
RX7600 is a great upgrade for someone like me still using a RX580 on a 4096x2160 tv Let’s be real though. Most of us old gamers are still playing CnC games anyways. More so since it got added to Steam recently(we on the Revora network)
Please for the love of God don't use Jawa. I just checked what I'd get for my 3070 just to see if it was worth it or not and they offered 155 dollars. Yeah no thanks
Amd is playing the switcharoo with this card. They release it to make the previous generation more appealing and when the old stock is gone, low the prices and punch the 4060 in price/perf.
The 7600 XT is a budget card you can game quite nicely on 1080p. While being a budget content creation card. Looking at tech power up, it's comparable with a 2080 super. So you get a 2080 Super with 16GB of Ram. Which is a really nice deal for the price. Then again it's not Cuda, so that also kinda sucks. Still you can do most content creation things on it, and not running into ram shortage. So it's a toss up depending on what you do. Between a 4060 TI 16 gb or a 7600 XT if you want to pay 120 euros more or not, depending where your from. Both have AV1, depending on what you do this can be a major factor. As starting production on a project can take a few to some years. I am simply not blown away by both options.
After 4 month that cheaper now that's good for mining only problem is memory bus but still quite a deal . No need to mod to get more vram. We can mine some stuff.
most people buy gpu to play aaa games on high graphic setting with high fps where v ram not so important, me and some others need high vram just to play skyrim + certain mod collection (in order to run it is recommended to have at least 10gb vram) just to experience less lag/ less crash due to not enough vram
Where are the productivity benchmarks. I have a combined usecase of gaming and video editing in davinci resolve. Id really like to see the comparisons theree
4 months later and im doing my research after buying the rx 7600 xt but looking back at this video and looking at the present, the price of the rtx 4060 ti is almost £100 extra, and you cant find a new 6700xt or a 6800xt in stock to save your life, its also 20-30£ more expensive so is the 7600xt still a bad choice?
It is also worth mentioning that 4060 TI 16 gig while offering slightly better (or same) performance on average is less power hungry (165 vs 190 TDP), so it gives better performance per watt, while being slightly more expensive. So you either buy cheaper GPU that uses more power (and has overall less additional features) or you spend extra to have slightly less electricity bills in the future.
However that is besides the point 😂. The cost between these two cards with probably a couple hundred bucks so obviously the AMD equivalent is probably going to be better and in most cases people usually have the power supplies to support it anyway
@@Hoodbanger254 Tbh I am not a fan of Nvidia. The problem is that whenever I compare different GPUs that are supposed to compete at specific market, then unfortunately, almost always, team green simply has the best product, with team red being slightly behind and team blue being way behind. That is unfortunate truth. I wish it was different. I really do. And as you correctly pointed out - 4060 ti 16 gig is slightly more expensive than 7600 XT. And while it is a fact, that one card is more expensive than the other - it does not reflect other pros / cons. I guess it depends on who is looking for what. I for instance would rather have a card that uses less power & runs cooler cuz I know it will most likely translate to less power bills and longer live span of the device. So for me, 7600 XT would need to be way cheaper than it is right now in order to be more competitive.
At least in Europe, the 6700XT/6750XT are getting rare and more expensive now. So much so, that they're in the same price range of the RX 6800, making that the better option of the three. Still, the 7600XT (345€) is roughly 55€ cheaper than the cheapest 6700XT (400€) and 65€ cheaper than the (last model left of the) 6800 (410€), so if that's too much the 7600XT is an option, though not the most compelling one for sure.
I got an RX 7600XT knowing everything that's been said here I still think it was a decent buy, sure as hell beats the crap out of my outgoing GTX 1070Ti and I guess I was extra tempted about having a brand new released card for the first time.
Honestly, puck this Schmidt. Ever since nVidia launched the GTX 1050 3GB variant and the GTX 1060 5GB variant, while at a similar time they released a GT 1030 DDR4 (not GDDR4) and AMD released an RX 560-B (closer to an RX 460 than an RX 560), graphics card naming made no sense. Even before, the GTX 750 TI had a newer manufacturing process than the GTX 760 and the 750 TI now outperforms the technically higher tier 760 in some titles. Names for graphics cards, CPUs and all Apple products have gone full RT, they make no sense, nothing is regular or normal, everything is ultra pro super max TI X XT XTX Extreme Xtreme, and when everything is super, NOTHING IS! I genuinely wish doom to every single marketing department in the tech world, and possibly outside of it.

As with most of AMDs cards you just need to keep in mind they all have rocky starts. Give it a couple months to drop in price and get different drivers out, it will find its place somewhere. It wont beat a 4060ti anytime soon, but that doesnt make it worthless. Case in point, the a770 launch was terrible but now they have their drivers fixed and its an amazing mid to low end card. It just needs time to iron out like all their cards.
but still, if i want to record the gameplay of re4 remake or the new silent hill 2 remake in 50fps an in 1080p it is still better to have 16gb right? so the 7600 xt wins. Or do you have an alternative?
it's not the budget card performing bad it's actually because games are getting too demanding graphics wise despite not even looking that much better visually.
powercolor should use PTM7950 in future on their gpu's and make sure cooling surface is as flat as realistically possible, or they gonna struggle with future AMD gpu's, as 7900 XTX especially has pumpout issues

Calling it bad because last gen stuff is still in stock is a cop out frankly. It's at least US$100 cheaper than the 4060 Ti 16GB and still hangs with it. Something you completely don't mention despite comparing the two in all the benches. What about when last gen stuff is no longer available new? It costs the same as the 4060 (non-Ti) 8GB and flogs it. When all the last gen stuff sells through I hope your attitude about it changes. Is it disappointing again last gen? Yes. But so is all but one of Nvidia's stack. Of the current gen parts though, this ain't too bad on the price to performance front at the "entry" level. Arc isn't on the playing field yet until it's drivers are more mature.
AFMF is NOT competitor to Nvidia's frame-gen, that would be FSR3. God I hate this host, this is not the first time he just says some poorly researched sh*t.
Bought this gpu back in september in combo with a ryzen7 7700x cpu and 64gb 6000mhz ddr5 ram and it works as a charm. Best buy i made in yrs😊 also i use this on 1440p and a 32inch screen, Cyberpunk goes wel above 100fps too😁 to add... My personal opinion when it comes down to nividea... Everyone buying niv these days is just sponsering their ai bs, dont buy niv. The money you put in on their tech only ends up in ai developments non are waiting or longing for. Proof is in the new 50series gpu and the prices to them while actual hardware improvement is minimal at best... Let niv feel they made the wrong choice by going all in on the ai bs 👍🏻
I mean its still better than a standard 6600 and has twice the vram for an extra $100 canadian dollars. Its still a good value. Also newer chipset. We will have to see more games adopt fsr3 to really know the value.
PSA: Contrary to Ploufe's advice (and whoever is actually buying GPUs for machine learning probably already knows this) but unless your usecase is hyper-specific, you would almost surely want to go with nvidia because of cuda.
In Europe this card goes for around 400 Euro. This should have been a 250 Euro card. And the RX 7600 should have been just 200. I hate the current PC market.
Why do you keep saying that AFMF is an "answer" or "competitor" to Nvidia frame generation? It's not. FSR 3 is, but AFMF is a post processing driver level thing

Initial reviews weren't that great but it's becoming recommended more lately
having a 6800 myself, seein the new 7600xt hitting half the performance... oof
Like I’m more intrigued by ai and what that entails
I have a feeling, that they are glossing over just how much more expensive the 4060ti 16gb is.
RX 7600 non-xt is within 5% performance(unfortunately) in most titles at 50USD cheaper too. Also no comparison chart for RX 6700..
Yeah. I had to set up a bot watch list just to find a Sapphire 6700xt in stock. They downpriced the 6 gen cards so low its a steal, this is the golden months for buying a mid range gpu. Huge L for ltt on this one. You won't get a 6700xt in stock soon.

Yep. I think if they made the card cheaper then it would be way harder to compare it to 4060 ti or 6700 xt.
@@Tommy_The_Gun The 7600XT shouldn't really be compared to the 4060 Ti anyway as they are at two wildly different price points.
Should have made it 10 or 12 GB, pushed 300 dollars MSRP if not lower, and marketed it as filling the VRAM demands of console ports. 16 GB is too much for the GPU performance to need
@@wyattroncin941 10 or 12GB would have meant a redesign of the card as the bus width would have to change to accommodate those amounts of vram.
Arc 770 ($299) - 7600 XT ($329) - 4060 Ti 16GB ($450)
What a comparison, doesn't even take pricing into account...amateur hour.
The whole reason both Nvidia 4000 series and AMD 7000 series is released the way they did was to say "Look, guys, you either buy the full stock of previous gen or we will release worse proucts for the same price until you do" So 7600 is just advertisement material to sell more 6700.
Haha, first conspiracy that makes sense.
I'd probably still pick RX7600XT over 6700XT because of the VRAM, not because I need it for productivity but because it seems that VRAM demands in games are getting higher with each new game and I think that extra 4gb will matter more in the not so distant future.
thinking same too plus lower TDP for reliability
Its will only get better in time with better compatible.
@@darius8214 Funny enough I actually got an RX6750XT because I found it for quite a bit cheaper lol
5:22 "61 FPS, OK not great, it's definitely still playable..."
Yeah wtf, since when 60fps is just okay? It is the goal, everything after that is just bonus.
7:15 that's actually a good thing ya know
also the 7000 series was released because of the AI accelerators, it wasnt meant for gamers really but as a competition in AI workstations
Why is it being compared to a 4060ti when the price or the card is comparable to the 4060? Sounds like someone didnt want this card to look good..
Yes I don't understand why they are comparing the 7600 xt to a card that cost 100$ more.
Also even on the main channel why they compare DLSS Frame Gen with AFMF? Sure AFMF is in their marketing for this card but FSR Frame Gen, hello?
@@FuelXCloser to 200$ more even.

I'm fine with my 11gb 1080ti hehe
Seeing the 6700XT being brought up as the "just go for this instead" while when the 6700XT came out it was considered mediocre or even garbage makes me sure that in 1-2 years the 7600XT will be a "just go for this instead of .

I paid $300 for my RX580 brand new. This would be a great upgrade from my current
only 2 slot card? that's kinda refreshing.
(And trust me, they'll come before long!)
One point though - HyprRX and FSR3 are also available on 6000 Series GPUs. That's why personally I'd have chosen the 6700XT. However, going with 16GB of VRAM instead is a perfectly valid choice, even more so if you tend to keep your GPUs for longer.
I think the AV1 Decoder and Encoder, can make the 7600xt a valid choice. But it always depends what you value.

I also believe that most game developers now days aren't really truthfull at how much VRAM their game uses, and i saw a video showing *The Last of Us*
using up over 12Gb of VRAM... so buying a GPU with 16Gb VRAM should secure the rig for the foreseeable future for gaming.
Well said. AFMF is a unique feature to AMD currently.
They made the exact same mistake on the LTT channel with the RTX 4070 Super review video. It sucks that what should be a tech expert review spreads misinformation.
RX 6800 costs $70 more for 50% more performance. Same vram.
And still cheaper than a 4060ti. And good luck getting a 6700xt in stock by next month, I grabbed the last 6700xt Sapphire had on amazon and it hasn't restocked since.
I’m new to game dev. Is this card gonna be overkill or right on the money for my power needs?
Can we get a spreadsheet of the AMD cards at 1440p? specifically compared to a 1070 since I'm trying to upgrade from that. Looking to double my ram from 16-32, swap my 2600 for a 5600, and IDK on the GPU yet, but I wanna spend about the same(or less) than I did on the 1070 ($400) for as substantial an increase in performance that I can stick with for the next 5 years or so before eventually building an all new system on AM5 and DDR5.
Jawa offering 33 bucks for a 1070 is crazy
180 for a 3070 is bananas lol
Part of me wonders if the frame generation is actually working, or if its placebo in most cases where the 100fps saying 180fps tricks you to see it more fluid.
It's called interlacing
@@evilleader1991 Interlacing is an old technique. Frame generation tech is more like MPEG codec, H264 compression. 'Analyzing two images back-to-back, DLSS 3 uses this information to insert an extra AI-created frame that does not have to be rendered by the game itself' Interlacing, renders even and odd lines of the display and hurts performance, refresh rate. We got away from that after CRT even if the HDMI/DP standard can support.
Of course its working. You can find plenty of vodeos of "highspeed" cameras captureing it
The real question is, at what price does this card become compelling and when is that most likely to happen? A chart or analysis that I'd really like to see is a comparative GPU MSRP over time and the relative time between price drops across multiple years, makes, and models. It's a lot of data, but maybe put it on the back-burner at Labs. "Meh" performance-to-cost at launch isn't unusual. I'd argue it's been the industry norm for nearly 20 years.
This amateur reviewer compared the card which retails for 329 USD to the 4060 ti 16gb that is $450 LOL
Unless someone made the worlds smallest 4060 ti without anyone noticing, there's a mistake in the sizes. For some reason i doubt that the 4060 ti is 23.24 mm tall when the others are 98.4 and 148mm tall.
Also just from analysing the pictures, it looks like the a770 dimension is just the cooler (not including the pci slot), while the 7600 xt includes the pcie slot circuit board as well
Definitely something wrong there. It doesn't make sense at all.
LTT QC (or their lack of) strikes again! *ding ding ding*
Don't buy Arc before checking if it plays well with what you play. It swings between really good deal, or I should stick with an iGPU.
One point bought up by derbauer is that because 4060ti has such a low TDP, it can actually be better value in long run due to electricity savings if you have expensive electricity
voodoo had the best gpu boxes
Not even a single word about what's potentially of predominant relevance especially for customers targeted at this price bracket: the blatant lack of PCIe lanes on the 7600XT and the 4060 Ti. Alas, at this level of equally glaring lack of competence LMG will never live up to their perpetually self-proclaimed standards, ever ... not surprised particularly this host preferred to go on in lengths about RGB features instead while ironically missing out on the one significant thing that could/should/would have provided the conclusion of leaning towards the A770 with some actual substance [*:
The 6700 xt literally has 16 lanes?
All that yapping, just to say they should’ve recommended Intel? Come on, we all know arc is still too messy to recommend to the average GPU buyer.

The 4060 Ti isn't even in the same price category as the other two!

I would take AMD over Arc right now, there is too much inconsistencies with Arc performance (but they've improved a lot though)
Where ya been the last decade my guy sapphire been using the clear fans with RGB since at least the rx 470
I believe they actually had a R9-290X with clear fans and RGB all the way back in the day.
If AMD made the 7600xt a $250 card. It would hands down be the GPU of the year.
1:49 same thing has always been a bit annoying about 1080ti port arrangement
Why would you opt for an A770 when it failed the most during your tests?
Minor annoyance that the HDMI logo was the same as the DP but understandable for anyone who sees this that's not info tech (rare circumstances I know but better safe than sorry) an HDMI port is more trapezoid shape.

Saw somebody mention this in the 40 super review but AFMF is not FSR 3, its cool but not the direct competitor to DLSS 3

Where are the productivity benchmarks. I have a combined usecase of gaming and video editing in davinci resolve. Id really like to see the comparisons theree
4 months later and im doing my research after buying the rx 7600 xt but looking back at this video and looking at the present, the price of the rtx 4060 ti is almost £100 extra, and you cant find a new 6700xt or a 6800xt in stock to save your life, its also 20-30£ more expensive
so is the 7600xt still a bad choice?
I think the HDMI in the middle separates the main display from the side displays 🤔
It is also worth mentioning that 4060 TI 16 gig while offering slightly better (or same) performance on average is less power hungry (165 vs 190 TDP), so it gives better performance per watt, while being slightly more expensive. So you either buy cheaper GPU that uses more power (and has overall less additional features) or you spend extra to have slightly less electricity bills in the future.
hehehe nvidia fanboy alert anyway whats the price of the 4060 ti 16gig btw?
dude, are you serious? 35W aren't changing anything
However that is besides the point 😂. The cost between these two cards with probably a couple hundred bucks so obviously the AMD equivalent is probably going to be better and in most cases people usually have the power supplies to support it anyway
I mean it's pretty sad to even compare Nvidia when their price is so huge and disgusting.

WOW IS THAT A BROKEN WEB PAGE!!! 😳 LMG need to check their sponsor imediatelty, otherwise you're going to be sponsoring somthing really awful. Jawa's webpage needs serious work.
can i use stable diffusion on this card?
cannot get a decent answer on google
Rx 6700 xt doesnt even exixt in my country, idk what to pick anymore, although it's available in the pre-owned gpu market places, should i pick the rx 7600 xt????will it be worth it in my brand new pc?
I think the motto of the 7000 series has been “The 6000 series can do it too”
yay for Canadians showing USD not CAD!! other then being in Canada LTT is not a Canadian company!! everything is geared to Americans just move there already
Makes conversation easier outside North America
@@Dan-Simms there is enough American youtubers who post in USD there is European TH-camrs they post in Euros why Cant the Canadian company post in CAD? there entire company and website runs in USD cant even see CAD on website why should i a Canadian have to convert to USD to buy from a Canadian company in Canada? because there not Canadian anymore!!!
honestly 8 gb is what I need, I got mine for like 280 bucks, and it was a steal for building my pc
6700 xt 12gb is the real deal
As with most of AMDs cards you just need to keep in mind they all have rocky starts. Give it a couple months to drop in price and get different drivers out, it will find its place somewhere. It wont beat a 4060ti anytime soon, but that doesnt make it worthless. Case in point, the a770 launch was terrible but now they have their drivers fixed and its an amazing mid to low end card. It just needs time to iron out like all their cards.
Minor complaint: both the DP and HDMI symbol are DP shaped
picked up a 7600xt for 289$ brand new, 6700xt used goes fpe 500$ where i am, cant complain fpr 289$
but still, if i want to record the gameplay of re4 remake or the new silent hill 2 remake in 50fps an in 1080p it is still better to have 16gb right? so the 7600 xt wins.
Too expensive, I heard Thermalright have produced their own solid "thermal paste" and it performs brilliantly according to reviews.
@@evilleader1991 you be using more of their thermal paste then you are using PTM7950 in the long term, you only need to use PTM7950 once per lifetime of the GPU
Thermal paste will pumpout in 1-4 weeks depending on quality of the paste, good luck with that.
what i meant was that thermalright made a similar product to ptm7950 and it performs pretty well according to Snark Domain.@@Arokhantos
2:55 "the last thing you want is to take your gpu home and find out it doesn't fit" damn I feel attacked. I bought a 3080 during the gpu peak and it didn't fit in my sff pc. It's still sitting in my room unused and worth 80% less than when I bought it
Calling it bad because last gen stuff is still in stock is a cop out frankly.
I have the 7800XT. Loving it. It might a better choice over 7600XT. If you can save up another $200 more.
The RX 7800 will be dubbed the "Gundam card"
This cards interface is PCIe gen 4.0 x8? my motherboard GPU slot is gen 4.0 x16 will this GPU fit? or are they the same size and I'm just confused?
AFMF is NOT competitor to Nvidia's frame-gen, that would be FSR3. God I hate this host, this is not the first time he just says some poorly researched sh*t.
Bought this gpu back in september in combo with a ryzen7 7700x cpu and 64gb 6000mhz ddr5 ram and it works as a charm. I bought it knowing game requirements are ramping up quickly and i wanted to use starfield creation kit as well.
Why is the 7600 XT benchmarked against 4060 Ti 16 GB?
The price competitor for the 4060 Ti 16 GB is 7800 XT.
Smh.
$330 doesnt sounds kinda expensive. But it sounds like theres no point to this.
It supports ROCm 6 for ML. That's the advantage.
In Europe this card goes for around 400 Euro. This should have been a 250 Euro card. And the RX 7600 should have been just 200.
I hate the current PC market.
im building a new pc and i want to know what am5 cpu would be best for this as i am currently still on am4
R5 7500f
R5 7600
Why do you keep saying that AFMF is an "answer" or "competitor" to Nvidia frame generation? It's not. FSR 3 is, but AFMF is a post processing driver level thing
At the end of the day they acheive the same goal, don't they? Make image look smoother.
@@DesuVRYes, but the reviewer is factually wrong. fSR3 and dlss3 has to be manually added to every game, AFMF works on any dx11/dx12 game.
arch 770 last time i looked wasn't supported but i always wanted one because it looks slick
