If China think they can do that then we will surely be engaged in war and US will definitely there to help us activate the mutual defense treaty which will provide support or assistance. Fair is a word that PH shouldn't be using because China hasn't been a good neighbor for quite sometime. However, the use of the Tiananmen analogy may not be appropriate in this case because the Tiananmen Massacre happened inside the country of China and it involved the PLA in murdering its own citizens. In the West Philippine Sea, China is illegally loitering outside China and inside Philippine maritime territory and unlawfully harassing Filipinos who were rightfully conducting their business inside their own EEZ. The Chinese government is behaving here like an armed criminal organization that is engaged in territory-grabbing activity in defiance of international law. What is happening in the WPS is that China is bullying inside another country's territory and threatening people there who are not Chinese citizens. It is more akin to an invasion, like when a Chinese fleet of 70 pirate ships led by Li Ma Hong invaded Manila in 1574 when the Chinese got their asses kicked by Filipinos, Spaniards, and Mexicans. Going back to the present conflict in the WPS, China must be considered as a law-breaker that is behaving in defiance of the rules-based international order and must be treated as such. Its newly publicized "law" regarding the WPS is not a Philippine law, and neither is it a law recognized by the international community. In fact, it is a violation of Philippine law and international law as well. China is in big trouble internationally, and it is making one too many mistakes and miscalculations already. ASEAN would not support us because they are too dependent economically to China plus many of their citizens has Chinese lineage. For indonesia and Malaysia, we are different in religious beliefs and have some border disputes too. We are alone and only our politicians say that we have friends here in Asia.
