I was listening to a Paula Temple (techno) track right now... and I though what would be a very odd genre to mix with techno. I thought R&B. AHA! I remembered this very track which is essentially a techno track with remixed R&B vocals. Classy!
This is more of a UK garage tune, with the shuffly drums and deep subs. But techno is essentially derived from r&b. It's no coincidence that the home of techno, Detroit, is also the place that birthed P-funk.
