Thanks Damon and team. Glad that you enjoyed driving Kermit. We’re psyched to be the current caretakers. A dialed-in 993 is a fun car, long shifter throws and all.
I love my 95 cab so much! I think it's my forever Porsche. It's such a classic shape, sound, and interior. Mine is silver with full leather red interior
I had the good fortune of joining the Porsche Audi group in 1970 when we opened up the Porsche dealership called Carousel Porsche Porsche in Minneapolis. The luxury of being one of the three primary owners of the dealership gave me the opportunity to always drive a new model Porsche. In 1972 I was able to order a Conda green targa with Black and white hounds tooth fabric seat inserts. A fabulous accident to the unique curve the times. There were other paint colors that the factory offered as well , a bright blue,, aubergine +2 or three others. My exit from carousel Porsche gave me the liberty of purchasing one of the first 1976 Porsche Carrera Turbos, also painted in the true Conda Green color/ with black interior. This was the first Porsche called " KERMIT " the next new factory car that I ordered that had the KERMIT license logo was this 1997 C4 . The factory Porsche that preceded the purchase of my 76 turbo was the factory 906 Carrera number 148 that participated in many of the FIA races here in the United States: Sebring 12 hr, Watkins Glen 6 hr, SCCA national BSR runoffs. Just say the least, from a street standpoint nothing gives you the Porsche exuberance of of handling a great 911 like this car has.
Lovely color combination! Nothing like a Carrera 4 in a fun hue. On the 993 AWD system: many people who have driven/owned both the 964 and 993 C4 have reported the differences. A 964 doesn't try to hide being an AWD car...it is a beast in the snow. Power split ranges from 69-31 to 50-50. A 993 pretty much only uses the front axle during the moments it's slipping the wheels. It's RWD almost all of the time. The 964 PDAS was created under the old leadership and the 993 team changed their attitude towards AWD on the 911.
My buddy had a "95 C4 S all black with similar suspension, a blast to drive though I prefer a coupe. Why only an 8 on car show & fun factor? This is a beauty!
Beautiful car! My 2022 Cayman S is Python Green with a black interior with extended deviated stitching in Lizard Green. I thought long and hard about getting the Blue leather interior, but wasn’t sure I could pull off the green stitching. 😳 Still wonder “what if” to this day. 🤔 Great video. 👍
Tremendous car in an excellent rare color. Unfortunate about the nick name. At least the reviewer didn’t mention it. Naming a green car “Kermit” is akin to a five year old naming their pet hamster “Furry” or their black dog “Blacky.”
American cars and most European cars are front-engined and the trunk is traditionally in the back, so in the rear-engined world: yes, it does make sense.

Thanks for letting him drive it! Lovely 993.

What a striking color combination, would not have put those two together. Beautiful car, and that exhaust note. 2 thumbs up!
We agree!
Exceptionally unique spec, for sure! Is this a Fister II or II set up, BTW?
Thanks. Merv gets all the credit for the spec! But I’ll take credit for swapping in the Fisters. They’re Fister IIs
Saw this car in Monterey - it’s a beauty!

Great review. I want a 993 so much. I have ask though Damon, if you think it might be the nicest 993 in NA right now why grade an “8” on “Car Show”?

Python and Conda are really similar. I love that the original owner spec’d midnight blue. And sport seats.
Great car, great video

Trunk does not mean rear so frunk doesn't make sense to say.

The leather was called “Metropole Blue”. You need to get your facts dialed if you’re going to claim to be the “club of America”.
Thanks for clarifying.
metropole is a 996 colour, midnight blue is the 993 equivalent, no?
@@drock852 Nope. “Midnight blue” was a 993 body colour.
@@ektrolleyboy it was also the name of an interior colour. google the original 993 brochure and you will see.
