A TAS stands for Tool Assisted Speedrun. It’s not exactly a bot doing all the work. In a TAS players are able to play the game with freezing frames allowing them to make extremely fast inputs. It can then be turned into gameplay without the pausing of frames.

It's a tool assisted speedrun, so all the inputs were programmed out ahead of time. Everything here was planned and done for a reason, including the death.
Exactly what I want to watch, I was a fan of this gamemode for years, getting 1-100 more than 10 times on a average time of 1:30:00. So excellent video michi :)
A Tool-Assisted Speedrun, or TAS for short, is a speedrun meant to showcase what's possible beyond human limitations by utilizing programs outside of the game to use things such as save states, frame-by-frame inputs, and rewinding. :)
It’s not a “bot”, the player still has to perform all of the inputs, they can just choose them frame by frame and can rewind or fast forward when needed
@@NxVernxual the way he says it makes it seem like there is a program doing mathematical calculations to determine the trajectory that will hit the opposing tank, when it is just trial and error
@xian2themax79 that's true but what it seems is not always correct since some of those programs dont just relay on inputs only, some of them has boths (calculations and input) and even relay on other apps for detection in Minecraft TAS-ing. The inputs gets sent at a specific period of time at moment that could allow TAS to be self aware even for Twitch chat existence on stream. Mini-proof on these TASes can be anything as a bot or programs is their ability to execute the outputs correctly like how sometimes they fail to do it on SMB TASes
