One of the first games I ever played. Had I known Molluck was designed after Moloch I might've looked at it differently. It pisses me off that The Gods use video-games to mess with people.
i didnt like how they treat mullock in this game they changed him from smart, brooding and terrifying overlord of the first game, to comic releif side character of the recent game. hell id go so far as to say the entire new game doesnt feel like an abe game at all
could also just be that "the glukkon" title is the human equivalent of "the man" cause fun fact in english anyway man means human hence why man and woman have it
What is oddworld society outside of the Magog cartel and the vyker conglomerate? Is there a society with a law code that they have to adhere to, are there nation states made up of the various races, are they like organized crime mixed with big buisness, or are they the closest thing to governments that oddworld has?
But not as popular as the PS2, thus catering to a far smaller audience and as a consequence the games failed financialy, which meant Oddworld disappearing for many years and not becoming popular itself, halting the quintology indefinitely and hurting the studio long-term. Not to mention the original vision and development for the PS2 version was scrapped and what we did eventually get was a lesser product (but still good) with Munch's Oddysee due to time constraints after the aformentioned cancellation. Tragic indeed! Personally, I love all games and each one holds something special.
You say it's a shame that the game got moved from PlayStation to Xbox I say it's a shame that a game is locked behind a single console itself. PlayStation nowadays might have generally some nice artsy style games and some good story games like The Last of Us but I think in the long run Xbox in Microsoft made the smartest decision to go cross-platform with PC even to the point of allowing most of their games to be played on a PC through an Xbox storefront / app Andy to Heather console is Bill is much easier more accessible to modding games based on the relatively High quantity of mods that can be transferred from Fallout 4 PC edition over to the Xbox console. Honestly if it wasn't for this Bitcoin mining stuff I guarantee you more people would be building PCS right now but a graphics card that I bought for about $350 which made up about little over a third of my PC's budget at the time is now being sold for four times that. Crypto mining's unfortunately raise the cost of gpus/graphics cards exponentially and I doubt they will ever come back down and that's such a shame. It's actually one of the reasons why my next PC build I'm going full AMD even though their graphics cards aren't quite as powerful as an until they're close enough for a fraction of the price and their processors are statistically better and their motherboards seemed to have long compatibility Cycles with their processors compared to Intel and other companies that have cornered the market and hiked up the prices for so damn long

Well, at least it's only 10 days away now. :)
Lore And voices like this one are a good combo. Great to sleep to. After Oddworld lore Is exhausted, Will there be some other lore?
If munched odyssey came out on ps2 people would still have bitched over the memory cards, or the lack of power, or the levels looking flat, etc. My point is nothing is perfect and people will complain about anything friend. Cool video Benny
I always thought Molluck was supposed to sound like mollusk
Molluck" relax..I have a plan...we will use maldonkens for a our products of meat" slig"huh...what...but...sir...if we do that...who going to work the farm.....this place is huge you know" Mullock".........ohhh dammit" cartel members "your an idiot"
The idea of Molluck’s oddyssey Appels to me some how like he gone full circle and now is helping those who he wronged in the past
And if they make exodus I want it to be about how he is trying to reform Oddworld society
Molluck in Soul Storm has such a story arc 👽
"If he ever comes back"
interesting. Was he in Exoddus? I don't think so. Good on soulstorm to bring it back.
I'd almost love to see him gain his own form of spiritual awakening, forcing him to turn to dark rites, at first to kill Abe, then to annihilate his rivals.
You should’ve taken more content from the Abe’s Origins artbook.
Like what? Origins is in large majority a rehash of stuff already released online and The Art of Oddworld Inhabitants.
Nemin32 What’s your point? It still doesn’t appear in this video. I was just suggesting a more definitive story of Molluck could be more comprehensive.
@@BenjaminBarnes My point is that unless I forgot something, Origin's hasn't got anything regarding Molluck. Sure his portrait is there with the others, but we've seen that elsewhere for years. And the paragraph about RF is frankly just filler.
One of the first games I ever played.
Had I known Molluck was designed after Moloch I might've looked at it differently.
It pisses me off that The Gods use video-games to mess with people.
"Mollucks Oddysee". xD Dude... That would be sick playing as a glukkon. xD
That sligg definitely is a gossip king
At the beginning it sounds like you said mark the glukkon
LOL.
Pupbenny: "sort of like saying Dan the man"
All the Dan the man fan: 👀
I Kinda wonder why mullck in the new game has red/amber coloured eyes, but the rest of the glokks got more realistic eyes.
Molluck the Glukkon
Jabba the Hutt
Nuff said
That guy came from that big ol lady? Do the males have arms? I have so many questions.
The males do have arms, but that's what they use to walk on! They also have legs but they're very tiny and hidden in their suits. :)
What is name of soundtrack at beggining? Was it Necrum?
Is oddworld soulstorm a remake of exodus ?¿
Lorne Lanning says it's 'a new story based on the original tale', it's essentially a brand new game, but it takes elements from exoddus.
Oh ok thanks my boi
i didnt like how they treat mullock in this game
they changed him from smart, brooding and terrifying overlord of the first game, to comic releif side character of the recent game. hell id go so far as to say the entire new game doesnt feel like an abe game at all
Rose tinted glasses
Loving the theories soulstorm cant come quick enougth :(
Yeah, I hope it gets released soon!
Noice.
Thanks. :)
You'd think a society of people with no arms would have automatic doors 😆
They have arms, there legs are there arms as there normal legs are tiny
could also just be that "the glukkon" title is the human equivalent of "the man" cause fun fact in english anyway man means human hence why man and woman have it
2:16 - 250 That's a long-ass sentence
i don't like the new redesign the original glowing eyes were far more intimidating
Love the qui gonn cute, nothing better than oddworld and the star wars prequels.
Agreed! He's always been my favorite Jedi for some reason so I thought I'd take the opportunity to mention him lol.
I love him he's definitely in my top five, but that is in no particular order cuz there is always a bigger fish.
@@diamondskull0739 Haha, good point!
This dude talking about the mob so casually on TH-cam like he can't be touched or something
You better watch your back or you going to get a zoggin
What is oddworld society outside of the Magog cartel and the vyker conglomerate? Is there a society with a law code that they have to adhere to, are there nation states made up of the various races, are they like organized crime mixed with big buisness, or are they the closest thing to governments that oddworld has?
GRAET VID XD

Thank you! :)
5:12 You do realize the original Xbox was a WAY better console than the PS2 right? Better hardware, potentially better games?
But not as popular as the PS2, thus catering to a far smaller audience and as a consequence the games failed financialy, which meant Oddworld disappearing for many years and not becoming popular itself, halting the quintology indefinitely and hurting the studio long-term. Not to mention the original vision and development for the PS2 version was scrapped and what we did eventually get was a lesser product (but still good) with Munch's Oddysee due to time constraints after the aformentioned cancellation. Tragic indeed! Personally, I love all games and each one holds something special.
Exoddus is king
Hello
