Well lads, here it is! After over a year I finally came through with the Top 10 Worst Quirks. 5000 likes and I'll add the next MHA Top 10 to my to do list ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).... with hastume being in the support classes, her quirk makes perfect sense for her. she can use it for working with small mechanical parts and not need a giant magnifying glass to see what she is doing. it's not a useless quirk in the since that uses it well for what she needs it for.
@@KennyakaTI I agree She wants to make equipment for them and if she did want to become a hero, her Quirk would be useful in some ways like spotting villains.
... Guren shouldn't be on the list either. He's a backer of the league. A broker. He's not actually trying to be a villain himself. So two back to back entries that completely violate the rules he himself laid down for us in the beginning of the video. Put Froppy and Invisible Girl on the list instead and at least your list makes sense within your own rule set.
Once he controls 1 bug he can control thousands, all he needs is a few rats and bugs on him till he’s running down the street with a thousand rats and 40k wasps
Mei quirk is basically perfect for what she's trying to achieve, she can zoom in parts of what she's making and stuff like that! And tbh she could be an amazing sniper if she wanted to, like somone said in the comments.
The funny part with Gyrate is that the quirk user seemed to suffer very heavily from Tunnel vision. He was stuck with the idea that he was a "Drill man" and therefore only made drills the theme of his power, but rotation is a basic mechanic that powers a LOT of things and could be great if used creatively. For example, he could carry around a weapon or helicopter blades and rotate his Wrist to either power up his attack & range or simply propel his body. As for his issue with ranged attacks, make a hand cannon or something that he can stick his hand or arm into and rapidly wind up to generate power and shoot. But no, Drill man.
I feel like a lot of hero's have this tunnel vision mindset. I always wanted kaminari to become a human taser, get him in the gym to bulk up and train to release his electricity in one burst. He just go around punch stunning anyone he gets close too. With his disks as a ranged option for those tricky few
Viper if mineta was a tad more useful and strives a bit more to be a better hero, he’d be practicing the efficiency of using said sticky balls and how to throw them correctly, as he has a pretty high utility quirk
Yeah, but the thing is, you can improve your body so that it can last longer by working out, and you can also make it so you don't use the full extent so it's safe, while with Navel laser, it hurts his insides, unlike doing workout, odds are you can't really improve your insides, hell the series even supports this, his training is improving his endurance so he can shoot it for longer so while he CAN shoot it for longer, unlike OFA, he's still taking the same amount of internal damage
@@lilabaddie7491 Actually that bring up something, just as you can limit how much a human can grow by hurting them enough, is it possible you can do the same for some quirks? I don't mean "Cut off Todo's right side" type of thing, I mean something more like "Give Ayoyama (I don't know his name) a severe stomach punch so bad, it shortens how long he can use his naval laser to half of what he could before"
@@lilabaddie7491 Oh wait, what am I saying, the first thing we see is all might basically saying "My quirk was limited due to damage I gained", so that answers that question
Mei’s quirk is actually perfect for her goals, like she can see any and all details of machinery. With her talent for inventing she is quite lucky to have it
Yeah, I'm amazed this was on the video at all. It could also be used as a reconnasaince type Quirk to gather information from far away, even if she's not a Hero herself. The MHA universe is kinda dumb in the sense that there are probably some insanely useful Quirks that could help in Hero work, but because they don't have combat potential, they'll never get the chance.
Tbf its one of the quirks that can be replaced by existing technology quite easily, like her quirk is the equivalent to someone with binoculars/ microscopic glasses
I think mineta's quirk does have a lot of potentials if he learns to use it creatively like what he did when they fought the big three where he uses his sticky balls to stop the debree from the bridge from falling. When I saw that it did change my perspective of his quirks and the others. If they will just find more ways on being creative on their quirks no matter how useful it is on defense, offense or for rescue every quirks do have potential to be a good quirk. As Mirio said that his quirk is strong because he made it strong.
In the sports festival, when todoroki iced the floor, he used his -balls- quirk and didn't get caught. He jumped on his quirk hair to COMPLETLY dodge it. He didn't get caught on the ice ONCE and could've caught up to him. But he didn't watch and got hit by the robots.
*"probably the only reason Inko uses her quirk is when she gets the TV remote without having to get up."* Me, who just realized that: I'm going to steal your quirk.
HOW MUCH HAS AFO DONE SO FAR?! at this point, the next reveals will be AFO was also an online troll who baited Spinner so much in forums that Spinner got radicalized.
For Telescopic, if Tatami trains enough, maybe she could unretract her body quickly and get enough momentum to strike a villain with enough force to do some decent damage. Probably might not get it off this list but still would make it a more useful quirk.
I was gonna comment the same thing. And I agree. Currently, it can't be useful for much but dodging, but that be use too. Somehow. And with enough training it would be great for fast strikes. Like how Kirishima in jr high could only harden a small part of his body, but enough training managed to let him tank Rappa's devestating blows and even make him impressed enough to see him as someone he could really brawl with. With enough training, Tatami could easy become a very, very good hero
Koji's quirk is honestly pretty solid if he carried go to animals to use, like venomous spiders or parasites. Could take someone out of commission instantly.
Since Mei isnt actually going to be in combat in the support course, I actually thought the use for her quirk was probably for her tinkering. The zoom would allow her to get a precise close up on everything she makes. That was my thought process with it at least!
Yup Mei isn’t trying to be a hero she’s trying to be someone who makes support items for heroes. She isn’t using her quirk for anything more than that.
Gyrate - is only bad because of the user. With correct use, it can be very good (especially for a villain). Popoff - is actually very great quick for a good fighter. Take any good hand-to-hand combatant and this quick becomes one of the strongest there is, because it allows the user not only limit movement of enemies, but it also allow to manipulate the combat field, disable or enable certain things around the user. It is good for recue-type hero or kidnapper villain. Moreover, Stain become one of the biggest threats by simply being a good fighter. Take a person like him and give them a quick like this, and you will end up with a very dangerous person. Solid Air - one of the strongest and most wasted Quirk out there. Create tiny solid needless and press them into the opponent. Disable the quick at a correct time and cause sudden bleed-out. Is that not good enough? Create barriers under your feet to step on or launch yourself of for greater mobility, create miniature shields to block off attacks, and so on. It have so many defensive, utility and offensive uses, yet, the user lacked imagination and skills to utilize the quirk correctly. Here is a great use of it: fighting up close create tiny shields around yourself blocking enemy's attack while attacking yourself, and solidifying tiny spikes on your knuckles to cause some piercing damage on hit. OR strike your opponent into the face and solidify air in their mouth/nose.
THIS- You could also solidify the air inside someone's lungs. Instant K.O if u can get close enough. Being capable of endure a vital substance that's all around su everytime with infinite forms with The only condition of breathing and 💨 Is OP as hell
"a quirk that causes yourself damage is pretty worthless" *silently looks back at the deku poster from season 2* thanks for making this my most liked comment
Well that’s mainly everyone. Pretty sure most got to train to get rid of the drawbacks. Putting it as the weakest because of a drawback is dumb because it can not have those drawbacks if trained enough
@@rajtirth9755 no it was the quirk, Deku had to find away to use it so it wouldn't hurt him. Legit the amount of power the quirk produce is to much for his body to handle. Remember Deku had to work really hard just to beable to obtain it.
Jun yi biolasion naval laser is a pussy but prob shouldn’t be on this if you include his suit and the fact that he can shoot lasers much longer now or a lot of short burst which is really all he would do anyway
@@librathebeautifulwarmonk1283 I am not blaming the quirks, I am blaming the author. We have punching and slashing shonen MCs. It gets boring fast. They never give MC an interesting ability. I dont care about side characters, I spend most time with MC so when I see that his power is so terribly simple I just drop. I guess I became too old for shonen. They just wont give them powers that require much thinking, just aim and smash your problems away while screaming..... And, its not like BNH is the only one HxH, DB, Bleach, all of them just have abilities that are like multipliers. The place witch should belong to a unique power which defines the character is taken by a boring ass multiplier that brings nothing new to the fight but some numbers for versus nerds. We have seen other side characters have super unique powers so why does the most important character in the story need to have such plain setup.
“Manual has a trash quirk” it won’t take you far”….. he’s literally the reason Aizawa was able to prolong his quirk erasing quirk against Shigaraki and if you read the manga then you know how much of an impact it was
This was a VERY specific situation where his Quirk was useful and almost a key to win The battle. But whats if Aizawa used another parte of His body to erase quirks? What if The didn't show up? What if no One had an erasing quirk only with eyes? Those a possible situations, The fact that this Man had any protagonism was pure luck
Mei’s quirk is actually great for her profession. When she’s building her tech she can zoom in on the small parts she’s using and make sure she’s inserting them properly.
Alejandro Reyes we see her quirk from her perspective in the anime. She literally zooms in to the point she can see the investors in the stadium booth. So yes she does zoom in. Also her quirk is literally described as: Mei's Quirk allows her to make her vision *zoom in* on whatever is in her line of sight. If she really focuses, Mei can see things as far as five kilometers
5 ปีที่แล้ว +11
@@alejandroreyes9975 how do you think she's able to see things so clearly from 5km away? By zooming in. That's how that works.
I know that mirio is really powerful but technically his quirk is pretty bad too. Even the characters in the show think the same thing. It’s only because of mirios hard work, skill, and smarts that he managed to become that strong with that quirk.
I think that Inko Midoriya’s quirk has the potential to be really strong and the reason she can only attract small objects is because she hasn’t trained her quirk enough. With proper training, she could probably potentially draw large objects like cars or buildings from of a far away distance.
Also as another comment said: pull inner organs so either kill or immobilize someone instantly. The quirk if trained would be op in person vs person combat. Tf you gonna do about it? Not have organs?
@@alexanderkhalil3849 you do realize I said something from the video right and after I laughed about it and I'm pretty sure his quirk cant bc he can use brain wash to brain wash the solid air user. Come on now like think please
Here's the thing, though: There's different types of heroes. There's villain fighting, crime-stopping, action heroes like Bakugou and Todoroki, and there's Rescue and support heroes. Rescue heroes have to be able to save people in natural disasters, burning buildings, etc,. and a lot of quirks on this list could be used in those settings and it's really unfair to say that they're worthless or that they couldn't be a hero at all.
@@bloop9718 as much of an asshole as Mineta is, his quirk is far from useless. In one of the manga chapters he basically turns into Gran Torino using his quirk. Also, Tail is quite underrated, my best boi Ojirou literally smashed a crater into the ground using it, and he uses it for enhanced mobility all the time!
I think the only reason why Hatsume got that quirk is because she likes building stuff. When she was a kid she probably would've wanted to make stuff and was already insanely smart. She can also use zoom to make sure her work is really good by zooming in to make sure her work is good. She obviously doesn't make perfect things, but she could still use zoom usefully if she had the chance. And if she wanted to be a hero (taking out her talent for building) she would;ve used zoom to probably plan out things. think of Deku for example. If Deku had zoom, he would use it to make sure that the enemy doesn't get super close, but he can also use that extra time to plan out things and make traps. Get it? Almost every quirk is insanely useful. HELL EVEN TORUS QUIRK "light refraction/invibility" MAKES HER INVISIBLE, BUT SHE CAN CONTROL LIGHT ITSELF! WHAT THE FUCK?!?! She could get support items that could probably make her control light better and maybe even weaponize it. Maybe idk. but she could also be a stealth hero. Just some good comba training and also some really good skills, she could become the best assasin in the whole world. SHe could even master how to make herself super quiet and hide her presence.
I feel like solid air and a voice are pretty useful quirks. For solid air, using it might have a certain range, but it can help protect you and quickly plus effectively capture someone.
@@scatt948 Someone could literally cut off Bakugo's hands and he would no longer be able to make explosions. That's a bad argument, did Overhaul have a bad quirk because he couldn't use it anymore when his hands were destroyed.
@@scatt948 some people have quirks that can level a city. Does that mean all other abilities are suddenly bad because of this one specific scenes that could happen? That's like saying training to fight is useless because guns exist
if deku's mom decided to become a hero and use her quirk i know with some intense training and all that, her quirk would've been really powerful if think about it.
deku's mom quirk is pulling SMALL things towards her. Maybe she could literally pull all of your blood cells out of you. She's really OP if you think about it
@@lilabaddie7491 most cells are so small they're only visible under a microscope. If she can only move inanimate objects that would be less useful but even then, imagine anyone who has a screw placed in a bone or a stent in a vein etc. She could absolutely wreck people lol
mei's eyes can zoom both in the sense of seeing far away (5km is apparently where the curve of the earth becomes visible), and also zooming in similar to a magnifying glass. it does actually help her see details while creating her support items. and while she could be a great sniper, she would also be amazing at surveillance- both visual in person, and online.
Bruv. Ojiro's tail is THICC. for real, his tail isnt just a **tail** its like a certain body part that's a hundred times stronger than the rest of the body. but if he loses his tail... welp he's ded.
If an animal hand a tail with that much mass as well as articulation it would be incredibly powerful (pretty sure the physiology wouldn’t be possible).
To this day, I constantly wonder how the fuck invisible girl passed the hero course practical exam when her quirk is like shinso's quirk in the sense that she can't damage the robots
Nezu said she didnt pass cuz she didnt damage the robots but she pulled the "well im invisible so you couldnt see me destroy them" and she passed cuz of that
@@jamezyeu4015 holy shit i didn't even think about that. but i think eraser head can't erase quirks that is the body itself. for example gigantomacia, he can't erase his body
The thing about the mha universe is that being a hero isn’t just about combat and fighting criminals. It extends to saving people from harm, regardless of what form said harm takes
Let's take 13 as an example, 13 is a rescue hero, not a combat hero. 13 saves people and avoids combat, if not needed. So yes, not all heroes are about fighting. Even Shota too. Shota is more of a "erase their quirks, punch them, and done" hero. He doesn't fight in large groups. (and the reason I didn't use pronouns for 13 is that 13 doesn't have a gender.)
The fact you had to point out pronouns shows how stupid you are. People in the real logical world don't have time for attention whores that believe in made up genders or deny the existence of it(aka non binary tards)
I guess it just depends what you mean by “hero”, it can mean firefighter, police officer, doctor... I think that in this video, “hero” refers to the classical types of heros like superman or batman or spiderman that actually fight bad guys
Who said dekus mom's quirk is useless like if ur damn lazy like getting up the couch ang get the remote or charger is like thw most hardest thing ever Edit:wth i got this much likes hahahahaha thanks so much guys
The thing about Inko’s quirk is that there are a number of things inside the human body that count as “small objects” she could easily cause immense pain to anyone, if not severe injury and/or death.
Hatsume actually is not attempting to be a hero if you’ve seen BNHA. She wants to be a mechanic for them, which means Zoom is actually really useful. She can use it to magnify things without any tools.
📢Remember, this isn't about how the people use the quirk, it is about the quirk itself. Ojiro is still a badass hero despite his quirk. Mei does amazing work despite her quirk.🥰
I think the body retraction girl would be good got gathering intel. She’s able to make herself smaller, easier hiding herself when running and hiding. You got to think about every kind of hero work man
Mei's quirk is actually super useful for the career shes perusing, as she can zoom in on small components which makes creating small circuits or intricate parts etc
I mean, that's microscopic vision no? Otherwise, given how her quirk works, it'd be like me trying to solder a chip on a board while using my spotting scope or binoculars with a x60 magnification. Everything's gonna be blurry as shit, and in the end I'd probably end up soldering my hand to the board.
everyone saying water quirks are bad until those two start blood bending. Well, I never got so many likes. Just typed some random thought that came to mind. So thnx.
Her quirk is actually amazing, and with proper training she could be a pro hero with a cool quirk capable of killing a person instantly, by pulling the person's heart it gives them a heart atack.

Sliding Quirk probably has something to do with friction manipulation. Assuming it's only friction negation, it still has a lot of potential like making him immune to physical damage type of attacks by making it all slip from his body. (I don't actually care about this character, but his Quirk does have a lot of potential if used right.)
His quirk doesn't work with friction, according to Koichi, the circles visible when he uses his quirk acts like repulsers, letting him slide on surfaces (technically he doesn't touch the ground) and yes, it has a lot of potential, spoilers : For example, he learnt how to do the opposite of the repulsive effect, allowing him to slide on wall for, or to make him stick to the ground, while he uses the repulsive effect of his hands to launch an "air bullet" if we can say so, he's even able to slide on the air. However, he did a majority of these feats without being really aware of it
Fun Fact:Aoyama's birth defect wasnt a real thing he was actually born quirkless and since his family was wealthy, his parents paid All for One to give Aoyama a quirk meaning All for One stole someone's quirk and giving it to Aoyama
I feel like she went to the school board and went "I'm invisible, let me join!" Even Aizawa said the entrance exam doesn't really allow people like Shinsou to get in. So maybe they made an exception for her and realised how it was beneficial?
SPOILERS FOR SEASON 7 With the reveal about Ayoama having gotten his quirk from AFO, it really explains why it isn't working well. It just isn't compatible. Like we see with Spinner who get's pretty much braindamaged by the extra quirks, Aoyamas body just wasn't made for this quirk.
How did he even pass the entrance exam to UA he just sticks things plus considering his physical condition I cant see him being near the top of the leaderboard..
@@arctrooperjesse7582 yeah, if this really was a worst quirk list, Lemillions quirk wold be on there. He just isn't cuz he trained so har to make his quirk usefull

Mineta’s had his quirk his whole life, also, he clogged up the cannons on the robots on the entrance exam so he not only has good aim but he has a killer arm.
I always thought that Pop Off was a great quirk. When objects become attached using it, no amount of force is supposed to be able to separate them without breakage until the affect wears off. It is also a mutant style quirk, so it's immune to quirk manipulating quirks like Copy or Erasure.
Just put koji in australia or africa and become a hero there and he becomes a god Edit: Imagine Koji's special move as he stands there and yells and hundreds of spiders, snake, bees, possibly crocodiles, etc... start rampaging at you from all sides

Sliding Quirk probably has something to do with friction manipulation. Assuming it's only friction negation, it still has a lot of potential like making him immune to physical damage type of attacks by making it all slip from his body. (I don't actually care about this character, but his Quirk does have a lot of potential if used right.)
His quirk doesn't work with friction, according to Koichi, the circles visible when he uses his quirk acts like repulsers, letting him slide on surfaces (technically he doesn't touch the ground) and yes, it has a lot of potential, spoilers :
For example, he learnt how to do the opposite of the repulsive effect, allowing him to slide on wall for, or to make him stick to the ground, while he uses the repulsive effect of his hands to launch an "air bullet" if we can say so, he's even able to slide on the air. However, he did a majority of these feats without being really aware of it

With the reveal about Ayoama having gotten his quirk from AFO, it really explains why it isn't working well. It just isn't compatible. Like we see with Spinner who get's pretty much braindamaged by the extra quirks, Aoyamas body just wasn't made for this quirk.

He's also a living example of how size does matter *but* bigger isn't always better.
