Hi Jack. You basically have your phone connect to both your car and the BOVEE1000 on 2 separate bluetooth connections, allowing calls and music. I believe the steering wheel controls will work but i haven't actually tried!

Does anyone know if you have to forget the connection to the Land Rover first? Assume you can’t be connected to the car and adapter at the same time? I’m on a LR Disco 4 (2010)

Hi Martin, on my car you can connect to both simultaneously to allow for BT connection for phone calls and music through Bovee. Hope this helps.

The only MOT failure i had on this car was that they didn't like the spacing on my private plate! Mechanically was great - did get a few advisories on bushes which i replaced myself fairly cheaply

Because you can control the audio hands free from the steering wheel, and the track information appears on the standard head unit. If this isn't important for you then yea, go with the aux cable - Also this wasn't an advert or promotion for the Bovee1000 - just a 'how to' guide on connecting your phone if you have one.

@greggyctv3809 Ive just recieved my Bovee 1000, tried it quickly at lunchtime and it worked first time. I already had some old itunes stuff on my phone so didnt notice I needed a hack etc. displays track name and you can skip tracks etc with the wheel controls. Its a shame you cant navigate through your playlists and save albums on spotify but is will encourage me to make new long playlists to start in the car before heading off. Yes people say its expensive but its a small price to pay oin top of the car!. By the way its not a LR but the same stuff you show works in my 911 997.1. Happy Christmas!
