Thierry was always a very smooth driver, takes clean lines, amazing driver for Benetton.

That's a mesmerizing footage. It may have been his out-lap, and he's still feeling his way 'round the car and the track conditions, but the smoothness is something. He knew that the conditions meant that the power advantage of the Cobra is a bit of a hindrance, especially in the corners, so he's trying to be silky smooth on the corners, and just unleashing the power where it could still count; on the straights.

Great view in tricky conditions. That sound is monstrous. Visibility on the straights with these wipers shows how dificult it was back in the days
