I have almost no experience, (maybe 30-40 hrs) so... the crux3 was my second fpv moving from a mob6 and indoor flying mostly. I luv this one! On 2S 450s with no camera... just wow. Thanx for being an enabler to my addiction!

Just got the same after indoor/outdoor flight with my tinyhawk 3, I think the TH might be faster on 2s but I ordered the crux with crossfire and got a new transmitter + crossfire micro and I'm hoping I can some really clean medium range cruising along with learn more freestyle :)
One board that I think is indestructible in the red F3 crazybee. Sure it doesn't have a vtx but I've never had any issues at all with it. It's old, it's been in heaps of crashes but it just keeps going.

Nice review! To save more weight can you take out all 2 screws of the motor since it's light it will hold the motor in place.

Great review! I am loving my Crux 3 I fly it on a tbs 300mah hv battery and get like 4 to 5 minutes with no problem. Flight times are wonderful on this model.

Its funny you talked about the pilots burning their boards. Because I couldnt believe the amount of reviews on fpvcycle saying they had boards burning or just doa. On top of that, they mostly gave a 5 star review lol. I'm sure its all human error. In 5 years ive been building quads and in the past 20 years in the aerospace industry. Ive never seen a board burn or die, unless human error caused it. Great video 👍
"Faulty gear is never user error". They always swear up and down they did everything exactly right and have 2000 years of FPV building experience so it's definitely XYZ company's fault! LOL... 😂🤣😂
@@joshlikessurfing Faulty components is a thing. All components have a lifespane with or without energy going through them. But not at the frequency some noobs in the hobby are claiming. In your case it would be inadequate testing from manufacturer. 150lbs drone is some serious business, is it military? 😅

I think there is a spare UART you can use. I would have to take it apart to take a look to confirm.

Do you know of any BNF 3'' that can do 2s/3s, kinda like Kebab's FPV 3'' toothpick build?
LOVE my FPVcycle Babytooths and TP3s with the Zeezwhoop and JHEMCU boards. Happymodel motors have good performance, but I find that on my Primo 3 that the bells pop off or shafts break much more easily in a crash. Hope these are 2mm and better built. Great review!
HM motors are just built to a lower standard of quality and price. FPVcycle motors are definitely better but also cost a lot more. For those that crash a lot you'll pay more either way.
More than anything I hope to have a toothpick to rip around my yard next summer! My life has been turned upside down during this covid-19 in my recent divorce. But fpv and drone related stuff on TH-cam has helped mentally quite a bit so thank you and I really hope one day I can own a good camera drone so I can take footage and post it and then I'll just a little flight footage and I would really enjoy a good toothpick in to rip around my yard now that I have well my uncle has a really big backyard and I'm staying with him so I have so much space to fly I just have nothing to fly

How quiet is it on 1s compared to the Babytooth? On 2s it sounds louder to me. A big advantage of the Babytooth is the silence, but I have a friend who doesn’t want to build from parts.
I raised the volume about 4X so you could hear the tune. So I wouldn't read too much into it. Its about the same noise level and maybe a touch more on 2S. On 1S it's super quiet.
I highly doubt it's indestructible, but my oldest AIO is the Geprc 12a. It has survived the destruction of 3 different frames and keeps going. Granted I've never used turtle mode on it but I figured I would have killed it by now.
Thanks but looking for 5A AIO which can survive turtle mode. I know bigger ESCs are able to but haven't seen a 5A yet.

Hi Mr. Kim, I have a very similar set up with the insta360go. I have it mounted sideways on the savagebee but I have crazy vignetting. Also how did u get the footage turned brightside up? Since its mounted sideways it plays back sideways after recording.
You can rotate the video in a video editor. I use Adobe Premiere.
newbeedrone's savage bee handles turtle mode just fine as far as I'm aware and my usage of it so far!
hey albert maybe u should discuss airmode i disabled air mode on my ductless quads because i was frying esc trying to get to switch i figured out i could remove air mode and pull throttle stick all way down faster than flipping switch because most people leave throttle stick on a 2 0 to 30 percent postion
to hit switch i found it better to just power down motors with throttle stick and the just hit arm switch to prevent re arm

amp limiting is a thing? I've never heard of such a thing before... no blackbox on this one.

EmuFlight (and maybe others?) has crashflip_power_percent to limit motor output in turtle-mode FWIW,
but we dont have CrazyBeeX yet.

I have at least 5 of these boards they fly great and solid and I even have a naked vista nebula with one it’s so good indoor flying with dji goggles on it’s the best

I got mine yesterday, all the screws and stuff a tight but I’m getting plenty of vibrations showing in the video. The motor direction came out of the box set at reverse so I changed it to normal so would that effect the tune at all?
The FC might be screwed down too tight. That is usually a cause of vibrations.
Albert Kim oh ok, never thought of that. If anything I thought something must be loose but I went over all the motor screws and camera screws and everything is tight
Looks pretty fun! I run 4s on 1202 6000kv, but hq 65mm bi blade with 13a esc. Using the apex racing frame from pyrodrone, I Just won a multi gp race against 5inch last week haha

I ran it the first heat as a joke, then switched to my emax hawk pro on 6s and couldnt beat my fastest lap I did with the 65mm lol. I mean im not racing professionals but it is very surprising how quick and agile these micros are, the gates become alot bigger! One guy was racing his 7 inch setup and his propeller was bigger than my quad haha

Yeah, but make sure you run them in parallel, not serial or it will be 2S and fry the AIO FC! Also, note that it won't be as efficient as a 600mah lipo.

Yes, the one on the Crux3 is v2.2. The standalone is an older variant. 200mW VTX is one of the differences.
@@AlbertKimTV 2.2 or 1.2? I've purchased one and TX does not work. The other I've got on the UZ85 looses VTX signal after 30 secs. Both are stamped 1.1 but they have evident differences. I'm quite disappointed with them.

I don't run turtle mode on my non ducted micros. I just get up and go get it.
