I wonder how many watching this realize that all that embroidery is all hand done? Every single outfit is a Masterpiece in my mind. This collection is so appealing... I really want to own the first dress...and... well a lot more of them. I love it that Guo Pei creates both for the total Art aspect as well as these collections that are actually wearable outfits. If I had the means I would definitely buy some of these... Every one looks as if it was made for Royalty.
My favourite is the third outfit. Simple elegance, retaining the Chinese design influence and not OTT. Splendid even magnificent embroidery and colour contrast.

@HottaFyah - When you see Chinese models included in Western runway shows, do you shout and scream and protest, that they shouldn't be there, because they are Chinese? When models of different ethnic groups and color are not included in Western fashion shows, do you shout and scream and protest that, that is racial discrimination and that they should be included? Designers should be able to include the models whom they think best show off their particular designs, without interference from the public. In other words, models should be chosen on the basis of meritocracy, without regard to race. Color may sometimes come into play in regard to the color of a particular fashion. A particular gown may look best on a black, white or brown model. Having said that, once when I was creating a fashion and color event, I was dismayed at the lack of African American/black models featured in top fashion magazines. I thought how angry I would be if I were, say, African American; however, I believe those days are gone, and all skin colors are now featured. Thankfully, editors of top magazines and directors of top runway shows have not bowed down to over-the-top feminist demands to include all and sundry, short, fat, muscular -- whatever. Tall and slim is always the best for showing fashion.

Is it just me or is it very white in here. And I don't mean the background. This ill choice of models kinda makes the dresses uncanny prom dresses rather than culturally rich and chinese. Unless of course the designers want foreign girls to be Chinese brides. I'm okay with western models for diversity or to cater to western audiences. I thought China had the largest population?? Can't even find enough models? But mostly western girls to promote what is chinese... wow.... The western features and style of walking really clash with the eastern beauty of the design. Don't even get me started on the musicccc for this video.
