@@SouthernIndianaOutdoors hey same bro. i just moved here last year been looking for good places to fish. either kayak or shore. i picked up a cheap walmart kayak before i moved down from michigan it was like 150 bucks at walmart.
@@caidagreat2079 I’ve never had to replace this in the middle of a fishing day. I’d say several good hours. I also turn it off if I’m not using it so I don’t burn up batteries.
Dude, I am on Craigslist right now and what are often beat up cheap-o used kayaks (not Hobie or other brand name) which look like they were made 15-20 years ago are going for like $300-500 (basic ones without any rod holders). Either people have a habit of overpaying for floating plastic and sellers just get away with it or some people severely overestimate what the value of their kayak is. Even WITH Covid supply issues. But the funny thing is, then I go on Big 5's website and I find quite literally a brand new fishing kayak with rod holders and all for $400, lmao..... Non fishing kayaks for less than $200 at Walmart. Edit: I literally found a listing for $350 for what actually looks like faded trash you would find abandoned at the beach (an old, cheap-o, basic sit-on-top kayak. Again, you can buy a brand new simple sit-on-top kayak at the store for less (Walmart sells for less than $200).
I'm Southern Indiana Kayak fisherman also! Great video.
Thank you!
I was rocking something similar, if my back and butt didn’t hurt so much I would have stuck with it. I miss having a light, small kayak at times.
5:38 "and if you wanna go a little overboard" no pun intended.....definitely not if the water is cold! haha. Dope vid bruh!

What about a PFD? Probably the most important piece of equipment to have.
For sure! I use a MTI Solaris F-Spec for kayak fishing.
Where was your battery for your fishfinder
This fishfinder runs off internal AA batteries
@@SouthernIndianaOutdoors how long they last

$500 isn't cheap. I want something in the price of less than $300.
Walden I’m sure you could buy a regular kayak for that price. One without rod holders and stuff.
